Hi everyone,
I'm back with a F2P deck for Grobbulus Heroic. This week i couldn't make 0 Dust cost Deck but there pretty close !
Please if you have any success with this deck, don't forget to upvote it and comment !
Basic Knowledge :
His ability is to deal 2 Damage to all enemies (so you+your minions). When one of your minion is killed by this effect, it spawn a Fallout Slime. One of Grobbulus favorite combo is Echoing Ooze + Mutating Injection so be sure to have at least one Shadow Word : Death prepared !
Mulligan :
You want to mulligan for those cards.
- Northshire Cleric early card draw
- [card]Nerubian Egg [/card] he gets a 2/2 but you get a 4/4
- [card]Deathlord[/card]
- Lightwell
Strategy :
Strategy is pretty simple : Keep your minions alive ! You want to slowly take control of the board. Once you've got it you can start Divine Spirit and Inner Fire your minions for the kill. Try to get the best trade possible and the best Holy Nova possible ! It's not hard because he has a lot of 2 or 1 health minions ! It's not a very hard fight if your Dark Cultist buff your Lightwell you should win pretty easily. I finished with a 16/16 Lightwell !
Good Luck and have fun with this F2P Deck.

Won first try....Dark Cultist on turn 4 with PW: Shield, turn 5 Heal, Divine Spirit, Inner Fire for a 12/12 minion that lasted the whole game. This match is won with Divine Spirit and Inner Fire. Put 2 of both in and lose the Holy Fire if you need room.
Good deck but still very RnG dependent. Took at least 15 odd tries before I got it.
made it on my first attempt ,awesome
Fourth try because my card draw was bad. But I finished with a 26/26 lightwell :D
I lack 1 circle of healing, 1 inner fire and 1 lightwell. so i replaced them with 2 lightspawns and 1 divine spirit. worked well, i got the chance to buff a lightspawn to 20/20.
Even when you get perfect draw, by the time you set up the combo he's already got you at death's door and he's usually sitting behind 2-3 taunts. Way too many 4-attack minions for priest decks to be able to deal with, and you'll never be able to outheal his damage even with both lightwells on board. I have no idea how people win with this deck but I can't recommend it.
worked took 3 trys , seems it can only work if you get this combo -> Deathlord ->Divine Spirit -> Inner Fire
just restart the match if you fail to mulligan those card, got it after like 1x matches
I'm missing 1 Lightwell,any replacements?
Solid strategy & deck. Was lucky with draws, so I had a 10/12 Lightwell the whole game since 5 mana turn; it was basically the only minion on my board the whole time (after NC was killed turn 2). I was careful when to clear minions with it, and when to go for face. Used 2 Holy Novas to clear out slimes, he did not have the buff when he put them out, and Spectral Knights when they were low enough to be cleared. The saving grace of these fights is that Grob always went for the face, especially since LW was high enough from the moment it was put on the board.
I did after about 5 tries with a similar deck. I found gurubashi berserker great for this fight. 7 health is a lot and it can be buffed more with cultist, shield or divine spirit. I finished grobbulus with 23/9 gurubashi, I was lucky enough to protect him few turns with senjin and deathlord (no inner fire draw) and also killed 6 minions (4x ooze 2x slime) in one turn by holy nova. I healed mainly gurubashi, this guy gets 3 more attack every turn and it's hard to kill if buffed or protected.
Good deck
Solid deck. I beat Grobbulus on my third try with this deck.
First try with a combo -> Deathlord ->Divine Spirit -> Inner Fire
Thank's !
I'm having a lot of problems with this deck. For starters - It took me 6 attempts just to get a creature in my opening hand (I know its RNG, but still). Even then, most of the creatures are too weak to kill his summons, and they rarely last more than 2 turns. Also, I don't think Shadow Word: Death does any good in this deck, since he just keeps pumping out 4/4's and 4/6's after midgame. The only thing you can actually use them on is the "Akimbo" 5/6 Mutating Injected Oozes, but unless you have 2 SW:Death's in hand, you're screwed anyhow.
I feel like this deck needs more pro-active defense for the crazy buffs Grobbulus puts out. (I.E.: Silence Cards, Divine Shielders, and maybe a Gargoyle or two). If I come up with something that works, Ill update this.
Second attempt, worked perfectly. I had too much draw on the first attempt, I had two Lightwells and two Northshire Clerics up. Rookie mistake.
First try, Awesome deck
I was missing a fair few of these cards. However the basis of the deck is sound. I used a Temple Enforcer and two Flesheating Ghouls in my deck. Played one game and won straight away on Normal difficulty with the one ghoul I played ending up with 21 attack! Probably lucky that I got and played both Holy Nova's, although I did play one with a Northshire Cleric out and maxed out my hand size. I think that is the key - drawing the cards that you need quickly, establishing board control and absolutely pounding him.
As for Gubarashi Berserkers - I used to run a Priest Deck with these in but found that having to have a three card combo with them, Divine Spirit and Inner Fire was just too unreliable. It will and does work, and will probably work really well against Grobb, but in normal play it's not good. As soon as an opponent see you play a Berserker in a priest deck they will just immediately remove it if possible. In fact I often try and reserve a creature removal card if I'm playing an opponent with a Priest Deck.
Gurubashi would have cost less and done more damage due to its passive.
This took quite a while, but it did work eventually. Inner Fire is very important, but it's a card you shouldn't keep in your hand, since you might not use it until turn 4-5+, or longer if you have a Divine Spirit
After like 20 tries and a lot of frustration, I did it. It's actually kind of stupid how easy / lucky it was when it actually worked out. Thanks for the guide! Screengrab here.
