The idea behind the creation of this deck was, I got sick of all the shenanigans of different types of decks. I wanted to create 1 deck to rule them all, or at least give them HELL before losing because of a bad hand & draws. I was inspired by how amazing mages are in WoW, and wanted to incorporate the strengths of being a true mage.

Against AGGRO: 2x Doomsayer, 2x Frost Nova, 2x Blizzard, 2x Flamestrike, 1x Meteor. With 9 cards to stall and board clear, that is almost 33% chance to draw a card to save you. Sometimes you might get too many, but sometimes you might not get any, this is why after testing, I've decided to have 9 spells as I feel it is just the right amount.

Against TAUNT/DEATHRATTLE etc: 2x Ironbeak Owl, 2x Spellbreaker. Your enemies do not expect you to have so many silence. Get rid of those irritating abilities INSTANTLY, then trade or burn them down if necessary. Best to save these cards for important life saving, less damage taking, or winning plays. Board clears will help you manage them as well.

Against SECRETS/GAY SPELLS: 2x Counterspell. This is one of them most underrated secrets for mage. By FUCKING UP 1 of your opponent's spell, it would cause them to lose tempo, instil panic causing them to misplay as their plan / strategy is not going all according to what they expected. Enemies do not expect Counterspell as most top tier mage decks run Ice Block and Ice Barrier.

Against CONTROL: It is funny because they have nothing to control. If you baited them well, they might have already burned their good spells on crappy minions by the time you get Archmage AntonidasMedivh, the Guardian.

Alexstrasza: To set enemies to 15. Or heal yourself, trust me you will have enough spells to burn them down if you play your cards right.

Archmage Antonidas: If you can afford to summon him, this old man is the reason why you will have sufficient cards to burn your enemies. If you are running out of burn cards, try to keep him alive, as long as he lives, you will have a high chance to winning. If you have enough to finish the enemy, he makes a good distraction for them to kill him as well. With so many board clears, he actually stays alive quite often long enough to make a great impact.

Medivh, the Guardian: With so many spells plus if you can afford to summon him, this mister's weapon will aid you tremendously.

Basic strategy: Like most mage decks, buy time and clear board till Alexstrasza PLUS Pyroblast with you spells and minions. Water Elemental works wonder when attacking hero faces to stop them from using powers / weapons.

*IMPORTANT*: Is to see who you need to summon the most importantly to win that particular match up. Either Medivh or Antonidas, or which ever you are lucky to get first. Just having 1 of them up will get you the win easily. If 1 of them is able to stay alive long enough to draw the other, you will definitely win.

Final notes: There is no perfect decks, with good drafts and bad draws / luck we will still lose, however this deck does make it hell for the enemies even if they win. Do feel free to change up certain cards if you feel like you want example Eater of Secrets, or Ooze. But the core idea and foundation of this deck is to SILENCE FREEZE BURN. THE POWER OF A TRUE MAGE LIES IN THE MASTERY OF ARCANE, FROST & FIRE.
