I need some instructional guide on this, i went 7-1 at one point and now im like 19-25, any help with the mulligan and cards to keep? Yes always cleric, radiant, shield, etc, but i f i dont get those its like this deck falls way behind. This goesagainst jade/mage/some rogues/quest warrior. I wish i play a lot of aggro which i dont, but when i play the controlly type decks this falls way behind so quickly.
EDIT: So i got a bit better using this deck with two changes, i gave up ooze and tar creeper and put in two glimmerroot, i found that ooze is never there when you need it and when you do, you get a couple of armor points. Creeper is ok against aggro, but if it isnt, it does nothing so you end up slowing down your attack in the early game. Glimmer root gives you impact cards and also a decent 3/3 in early game. Improved to 17-12 in ranked 4 and lost some games due to really dumb plays, but glimmer improves this deck quite a bit.
does well against mostly rogue/mage/hunter/druid, but with pirate, token shama, and paladin, very difficult game. You are really dependent on perfect draws against those. The long game you are better, the short game if you dont get a curve going, you are pretty much done.
yeah i almost always lose to quest warriors, secret mages. these days secret mages run mirror entity and if you dont have shitty cards in your hand, you're doomed to lose because if they get dr op or twilight drake, its done
Would love a mulligan guide if you have some time. :)
Awesome, i am a 600 win priest but never really played much dragon lol. Could we get a guide? thanks a bunch.
Just got legend with this version of DPriest. Very solid deck, beats pretty much everything in the meta including jades, mages, shamans and murloc pallys (these 2 in the end are by far our easiest matchups).
Just wanna thank you, its the first time i netdeck and give a thumbs up to a deck in this website, and im a long time follower btw!
Peace :)
I can't defeat quest warrior with this deck gotta help pls
It's a pretty tough matchup for this deck, since this deck is very heavy on anti-aggro tech. I didn't run into many quest warriors while climbing. Don't play cleric or radiant elementals in the early turns. Save them. Save Lyra for Turn 9-10 and save some spells (and coin) for her. When using Drakonid Operative, take execute (for primordial drake) or dirty rat (to pull their taunts) or sleep with the fishes. Use shadow word pain on their acolytes, or potion of madness it into another minion.
If you run into a lot of quest warriors and want to tech against it, I suggest removing holy nova or a netherspite historian for Elise.
You definitely need the shadow visions.. It basically allows you to "top deck" in a sense. Many games you'll wish you had a removal or AOE. Shadow Visions lets you sorta "top deck" them. And of course it also has synergy with Priest of the Feast & Lyra.
i pulled a mana geode from msog pack, is there any way to add it to this deck?
why would you not run shadow visions? Fish for answers plus another spell for lyra. comboed with radiant elemental and you can get some nice card draw, develop new win conditions, and find board clears.
I really want to get this deck to work but getting wrecked from all sides.
3x in a row I get an opponent (2x mage, 1x Priest) who uses Medihv. Ofcourse the Ooze is not in my hand all 3x, thus I lose the game.
Then I get matched against a Druid who plays nearly only 4 attack minions like Ysera and such. Nothing I could do against that.
After that getting wrecked by quest Warrior.
It just ain't working.
Thank you again for inspiring me to try out Silence. I just reached legend again.

Hi, only a question, ¿Why not Elise?.
I play a lot of dragon priest every season and try to change things around to see what gives me the best winrate. I actually removed Elise to put in Holy Nova, which comes in handy more often than Elise. If you want to add Elise, I would replace a netherspite historian for it.
slow/ no impact on board/ easy to remove.
would u concede if u went first and mulliganed 2 dragfire potions and primordial against mage ?
Nice Deck. I'm plyaing a slighty different version of Dragon Priest atm and am meeting a lot of Jade Druids on EU. What do you recommend to tech into the deck to improve that match up?
The Match up is already favored for me but i would like to make it even better since more than half of games are against jade druid. I already run one copy of Inner Fire and it helps a lot! An early big minion that they cannot clear is really dangerous (like a turn 4 8-8 cleric).
Thx in advance.
You can put in a single copy of dirty rat. Play it late game to pull an auctioneer, Fandral or Yogg. Ysera is also good vs jade druid.
Just hit rank 5 with this deck, really nice deck if u learn how to use the resources properly.
My stats from rank 10 to 5 73% winrate not bad. Thanks for the deck, i really enjoyed playing it.
