Thoughts About Wild

Although this is almost certainly not the best deck in the meta (it isn't...), I've had a ton of fun playing this. I was originally skeptical of the initial split of ranked Hearthstone into the Wild and Standard formats, but I now believe that it works well.

All season long I've been playing standard, but after playing a ton of Quest Rogues, aggro Shaman (evolve Shaman? IDK...whatever it's called), and various forms of Mages. It was incredibly refreshing to enter into my time-traveling device to play competitively with some of my favorite cards, which have now been cast into the abyss of Wild. I've found that Wild is a great way to keep the game new, and it's nice not having to keep up with all of the new cards. In other words, I've already collected a lot of high-cost cards from a few years ago, and it's expensive and exhausting to keep purchasing pack after pack. The Wild format allows us to forgo these purchases at a large scale. This Priest deck that I've built doesn't have a ton of "new" cards, but rather just enough to make the deck feel new without burning a hole in my pocket.

Who needs to N'Zoth Anyway?

The Deck

There are few better feelings in Hearthstone than to slap a card down on turn 1, which is exactly what Awaken the Makers does. However, sometimes I believe it is optimal to drop a Northshire Cleric down on turn 1, depending on the board state. After that, you can usually just ride the curve to a victory. No matter what deck that you're playing against, it's very hard for the opponent to deal 40 damage to you. Not only that, but usually you'll play Amara, Warden of Hope when you're around 10 health. So that's a total of 60 damage they'll have to deal to you!

Unlike so many other Priest decks that I've personally made (apart from my OTK Priest deck, which is posted on hearthpwn), this deck actually has several win conditions. The amount of resource generation of this deck is excellent, especially from Crystalline OraclePiloted Shredder, and Northshire Cleric. I've found that I always have plenty of cards in hand and minions on board, which is usually a successful Hearthstone recipe! As mentioned above, not only does the enemy need to deal, on average, around 50 health to you, but they have to keep your board clear while doing that. Most of the games that I won were a result of board control, not some crazy N'Zoth, the Corruptor turn. You will be able to witness this in the video that I have posted above! Just wisely maintain board control and I believe this deck will bring fun and success!

Note: I do not actually own Cairne Bloodhoof, so I have Twilight Summoner instead.

I got this from a piloted shredder lol. Easy to beat Quest Rogue this way!
