Ever since Reincarnate has been revealed I've been itching to try out all sort of shenanigans (hence the name) it would create with Ancestral Spirit and Baron Rivendare. I've only played this deck on casual, so I cannot (yet) give and estimate how it fares in current meta.
Explanation and strategy
This deck plays around all the awesome deathrattle effects combined with brand new Reincarnate as well as aims to finish off opponent with Leeroy Jenkins. I run several cards to establish early game board control to pave the way for late-game combos.
Early game:
When facing against aggro you want to mulligan for Lightning Bolt/Rockbiter Weapon/Lightning Storm/card].
Pair [card]Nerubian Egg with Rockbiter or Flametongue to get rid of enemy minions and establish early board control.
Mid game:
Now comes the time for Baron Rivendare to shine, try getting him out when you already have some minions on board - Harvest Golem coupled with Loothoarder will further help you digging for more cards and establish a strong board. Pair Baron Rivendare and some minion(4/4 nerubian for instance) with Ancestral Spirit and you will get two copies of the creature, usually the baron won't be able to survive longer than 1 turn, so make a good use of it. Turn 4 Baron on board with some minions followed by turn 5 Sludge Belcher is a very strong combination.
Late game:
Ultimately, you want to get your hands on Leeroy combined with Reincarnate and some additional damage. Nevertheless, even if you don't dig up Leeroy the deck has alternatives to winning. Cairne Bloodhoof can quickly swarm the board with extra copies of himself/Baine. Use Sylvanas Windrunner with reincarnate to get rid (or rather steal) their biggest threats.
Combo potential:
- Leeroy Jenkins + Reincarnate, basic combo, 12 damage to the face; throw in Flametongue Totem or Rockbiter Weapon for extra oomph
- Leeroy Jenkins + Ancestral Spirit + Reincarnate = 18 damage
I will take it to the ranked play later and will let you know how it goes.
I made similar deck with the new naxx cards and I must say, Shaman is unbelievable with them. I don't have Leeroy, but I put 2 Reckless rocketeers to compensate. I also added 2 Windfurys for another combo choice. Those Nerubian Eggs and Harvers Golems is my next try to add to my deck. At the moment I have Injured Blademasters, which usually seems like a no-threat. But after you kill one low mob and reincarnate, it's a 4/7 all over again :)
Also, I'd recommend to get rid of the Mana Tide Totem. I almost get too many cards with the Loot hoarder + Ancestral Spirit / Reincarnate + Baron Rivendare.
I've had so many combo plays with this deck that I think it must be nerfed at some point. For example: In one game I had Baron in the board, which enemy for some reason didn't want to clear. (Perhaps, because I didn't have any deathrattle creatures with him). Well, I did have Sylvanas, Ancestral Spirit and Reincarnate in hand and was just waiting for the opponent to put some heavy mobs in play (threw 1 hex to smaller mob to distract him). And when the enemy played his Sylvanas, I threw the combo and what do you know. I had 4 Sylvanas at my side :P
I was taken aback, that he didn't concede at that moment, but stick around for one more round :D
