Update Log
Update 29-05-2017
Removed 2x Radiant Elemental, replaced with 2x Coldlight Oracle, greatly improves winrate against secret mage by fatiguing, same story for taunt warrior. Still impossible to win against pirate warrior.
Also removed 1x Shieldbearer for an additional Onyx Bishop, felt Shieldbearer didnt do enough for me if anything other than a cheap 4/4 with Inner Fire.
Update 30-05-2017
Removed 1x Crystalline Oracle, replaced with an additional Greater Healing Potion, saves your ass alot of times with high damage early game, which is the vulnerable part of this deck's game in current meta.
Replaced 2x Loot Hoarder with 2x Shifting Shade, works alot better in the deck, N'Zoth and Onyx Priests resurrecting the hoarders is not something that is recommended.
After some tinkering the same day...:
Replaced 1x Onyx Bishop for 1x Moat Lurker, didnt get enough value out of the Bishop but enough to keep 1,Moat Lurker works really well with Devilsaur Egg .
Replaced 2x Inner Fire for 2x Mirage Caller, Inner Fire was only really usable with Tortollan Shellraiser and that would then be the only thing on the board 90% of the time, waste of space.
Removed Barnes and replaced it with Holy Nova for extra AoE against aggro Hunter, always came a turn short to clear board with Dragonfire Potion, this overcomes that problem, luck of the draw being a given fact.
I'm 0-5 with this deck. While I realize that's not a hue sample size, and I respect anyone trying to use shadowform effectively, this just isn't viable.
Your late game plan of 'ping them for 3' just doesn't stack up against any of the other late game strategies. Jade anything overpowers you with 6/6s or better out of the range of dragonfire, and quest rogue, unless they draw very poorly, just doesn't run out of gas and if you don't draw both dragon fires by turn 7 you are a 0% chance to win anyways.
In terms of aggro, volatile elemental isn't enough to stop anything of significance. You lose so much tempo from shadowform that something like devilsaur egg just compounds that.
With more aggressive decks, you just have too many dead cards - shadowform, Mirage Caller, SW:D, Mass Silence, Bishop, Thalnos, Devilsaur Egg, N'Zoth, Moat Lurker - and God forbid you play a coldlight seer oracle and help them draw into more gas.
This deck would be good against more durdly decks that sit around and do nothing for a while trying to set up, like quest mage or maybe even hand buff pally - but with anything that plans on executing a plan before turn 7, there's just no chance.
Thanks for taking the time to post this - I really love me a good shadowform attempt - but this definitely is not the Brode Priest.
this deck shits on miracle rogue so hard.
What's your winrate and at what rank?
70% winrate would have you on a upwards climb not going backwards
