Took me from rank 5 to legend with 73% winrate over 50+ games!
Don't get fooled by those "yesterday aggro druids" that play with the murloc package, this line is the way to go!
The idea of the deck is basically to mulligan for cheap minions (preferrably 1-drops ofc) and maybe a buff if you catch some of those cheap minions. The goal is then to maintain board control at all costs, this sometimes means you have to go savage roar to clear on turn 3, don't be afraid of doing that, board control is EVERYTHING with this deck.
Bad match ups include Quest Warrior and Silence Priest.

Eggnapper is better than Pantry Spider imo
Really interested to hear the reasoning behind this as I would go as far as to say the Pantry Spider is twice as good almost!
If you dont have Spider I would go for Eggnapper!
I also think this. I don't even include Pantry Spider any longer in my druid aggro deck, as it has only 2 attack, the purpose of aggro deck is to kill the opponent before he kills you, why would you than include Pantry (as you count of no efficient removals at all).
See the discussion in the comments above =) Also, you do realize the point of the deck is to get small bodies to stick to the board, and then buff and play Savage Roar on them? You don't need alot of minions with high attack for that.
yep having a deathrattle effect by Eggnapper is good for anti-removal atleast 2 minions will be saved when there's a board clear early game. Well it's a matter of preference.
I don't have the Hydras (and recently spent my dust crafting Elise and other important epics) so I just replaced them with those Evolving Spores. Good results so far - although I bet Hydras would be way more awesome. Some Round 4 wins that are unstoppable and I think this is one of the best decks around, hands down.
Glad to hear! Get those Hydras crafted! =)
Hi, great deck you have here. I have one question, I am at rank 3 now and been facing a fair amount of secret mages. will it be wise to replace one golakka for secret eater?
Hey dude! I have dealed with this problem, go on, change -1 golakka for +1 secret eater, maybe -1 hungry crab too for two secret eaters, but ONLY if you have see a lot of mages, because ladder rank 5 - legend, you will see 4 decks archetypes with pirates I guess, and murloc... 2~3 decks I can remember.
But I repeat, just if you see a lot of mages, golakka gains too much value destroying pirate (even yours or from your enemy), anyway, Good lucky!
Pirate Warrior is Pirate Warrior, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, the match is just super dependent on draws, ofc mulligan for Golakka Crawler when you can.
Against Secret Mage it is sometimes more important to gamble a secret than to "safe" it, for example, if you have 5 mana and a Bittertide Hydra on hand, you can't always afford testing for Mirror Entity, the match up is hard enough that you just have to go for it.
Priest is just difficult to beat, I often find myself with Innervate or Vicious Fledgling in my starting hand, in that case I mulligan for the other one, in bad match ups it can definitely be worth it to play the highstakes.
Problem with Soul of the Forest is that while it helps you maintain a board, it doesn't add to the power of your existing one, which is equally important! So I would say no, however, try it out and let me know how it performed!
Try out different one drops, see what suits your playstyle, off the top of my head I would recommend something sticky, such as Argent Squire or maybe even try a Runic Egg. However, if you wanna do a legendrun with this deck I would HIGHLY advice you to craft the Hungry Crab since it is just too good not to play!
I do not have Patches the Pirate and second copy of Living Mana. Are there any good replacements?
2 Living Mana is one of the only reasons this deck exists. You need two copies to be able to reload after the many board clears.
Congratulations and well played!
Water package isnt bad, I disagree that is stronger tho. Also relevant that this is favoured in the mirror
Also disagree with water package being stronger as well, I think you can do pretty well with either version, i played them both and just found this version to be more consistent in the current meta.
I'll throw a few tips for the priest and mage matchups. For secret mage get the board early, make good trades if you can, play around counterspell and mirror entity, Secret mage doesn't play boardwipes so don't be too afraid of him clearing. Against burn mage, once again get board early, try to get your minions above 2 health so you dont get wiped by volcanic potion early, control board and pressure him force him to use his flamestrike and then refill board with living mana. Freeze mage is just a bad matchup, g/l winning that one if they are at all competent. Against priest, get early board control and pressure him but be sure to hold back a living mana or some minions for his t5 w/coin or t6w/o dragonfire potion. Priest generally has a slow start so you should be able to get board control and start pressure early, try to play around potion of madness and buff important minions to 4 power (like vicious fledgling, right as they hit the board). Priest is generally a hard match. Should beat mage most of the time if you're careful and ts not freeze variant. Good luck
I found the Shieldbearer to be quite nice, stops most attacks against your Vicious Fledgling and works well with the buffs.
