So I used this deck to reach Legend last season. Really strong in this meta and can beat aggro and outvalue control.
Edit:
OMG I did not expect this to be so popular! Thank you all so much for your support. Thank you for all your kind words, and for commenting. Thank you for your questions, and for your videos. People have even added me ingame to chat with me! Again thank you all so much for the support, it has been amazing!
Mulligan:
So a lot of people look for the Mulligan when they see a deck. Mulligan is a very important skill in Hearthstone and something everyone should focus on. Often try to hard mulligan for the cards you need. Here are some of the cards you should be looking for.
Almost always try to get Fire Fly and Jade Claws. I generally keep Flametongue Totem to keep my opponent from having the early board get out of hand. Generally I throw everything else away.
Maelstrom Portal is good against Pirate Warrior, but you never know if you face Taunt or Pirates. (A good tips: If they hover over their right most card it's generally Pirate Warrior. Taunt Warrior will keep their quest, hence not having a reason to throw it away). I usually don't like keeping Lightning Storm against anything other than Hunter, since Murloc deck often buff their minions higher than 3 health.
Mana Tide Totem can be good against slower deck if you have a playable one and two drop. The same applies to Stonehill Defender, atlhough you can keep this against aggro if you have the one and two drop.
In short word: Always keep Fire Fly and Jade Claws. Generally keep Flametongue Totem. I don't like keeping AOE even against aggro since a lot of the minions have more three or more attack. If you know it is Pirate Warrior it is okay to keep Maelstrom Portal
Key Cards:
This deck has a lot of ways to win (will discuss that later), but here are the key cards/combos.
Doppelgangster + Evolve: This is the main reason I wanted to make this deck. Don't really feel like I need to explain why this is insane. This has just won me games at turn 6.
Stonehill Defender: In my opinion one of the best cards from Journey to Un'goro. Helps you survive against aggro, and gives that value against Control. I won a game against the most greedy Priest deck with a lot of help from this card. Just look at the cards it can discover: Al'Akir the Windlord, Thing from Below, White Eyes and even Stonehill Defender. In some cases Hot Spring Guardian can even be a savior. Also it has synergy with Flametongue Totem against Aggro.
Spirit Echo: This card is INSANE! Can give you back a free Thing from Below, another Aya Blackpaw and Stonehill Defender. This card makes me win against greedy control decks if I can hit good targets. I love it so much that I have considered putting in one more.
Other card choices:
Fire Fly: One of my favorite cards in the whole games. Such a balanced one drop, yet it is used in almost all decks. Early synergy with Flametongue Totem.
Removals: Maelstrom Portal and Lightning storm speaks to itself. They are insane. Hex is also really strong, but know what to use it for. Insanely good against Tirion Fordring and Savannah Highmane. Some of you might be surprised by the inclusion of two Volcanos, but I love them! Basically says remove all your opponents minions(as long as they don't have Deathrattle). Makes you stay alive and do one of your combos. I have won a game by removing my opponent's minions and then played a free Thing from Below combined with Doppelgangster, The Coin and Evolve.
Jade Package: The package isn't big, but it can win games. Has synergy with Evolve. I found it to good to not include.
Cards that didn't make the cut (not finished):
Bloodmage Thalnos: Would be really strong, but I simply didn't find the spot for it. We get spell damage from the Hero Power, but this is one of the cards that I would consider swapping in.
Bloodlust: Is just a dead card most of the time. Sometimes makes you kill your opponent one turn faster, but not worth it. I would not recommend it.
Possible replacements (will add more):
- Master of Evolution -> + Jinyu Waterspeaker if you face a lot of aggro (suggested by Robotically)
Videos showcasing the deck:

Gotcha, thanks!
Ran into this deck 10 times in a row on NA ladder. 10 wins in a row. The deck feels very poorly optimized and very clunky.
Will test it a bit and possibly fix it as I doubt the average person will get above 10 with this as it stands.
Yea not sure if im doing something wrong, but played 5 games and went 1-4. Feel like I just wasted dust
still testing it atm. So far 3-3 not overly good on NA
drop the Master of Evolution and replace with Hot Spring Guardian
will do ty
Also if your against jade druid you have to get the combo out on 6 or you lose fyi. Mage just concede...Seriously not sure how any one does well on na with this.
Not good against many kind of Mage, especially theoraphy quest OTK or freeze mage.
With this slow (for example, turn 6 doppel + evolve), at turn 6 the freeze or OTK mage is enough cards to freeze board turn by turn)
btw, jade druid not so hard compare with mage OTK.
Is there anything you can do against quest rogue? I get completely rolled
Went from 20 to 10 undefeated. I thank you!
I have every card here except Aya Blackpaw. Is there any viable replacement for this card?
Jade Chieftain
I tried an Aggro variant of this deck, give me your feedback. Been having some success.

Yeah, definitely needs more healing.
Amazing deck! Congrats!!!
I am having issues with silence priest, any tips?¿
I actually got first time legend in the Asia server with this deck!!! Made my climb to 5 with this and totem druid, then I couldn't get out of rank 5 for a few days, and after trying numerous other decks, this got me from rank 5 no star to legend with 6~7 losses. I want to include a screenshot but I don't know how...
Absolutely destroys the ladder right now. Has an answer to everything, and has a lot of pressure and sustainability, and I think that this deck is strong the way it is without any subs. I would write a guide of this deck for every matchup, but I just copied this deck so I'm not really sure.
Anyway, thanks for the fantastic deck!
To people having difficulties playing this deck:
This deck is really strong, but it does require good thinking to make it work, like most legend-viable decks. This deck is more about thinking about your win conditions rather than playing around your opponent. Most of the time, it depends on your draw. Do you play for jade value? Or do you go for the Doppelgangster combo? Do you play for tempo or combo?
Mulligan hard for early drops. I have almost never kept any other cards other than Fire Fly and Jade Claws. Maelstrom Portal is a good keep against Hunter, but I would keep it only if you went second.
Master of Evolution can be used for tempo, if there is no better option. Stonehill Defender is a good target, and try to use it after making a trade. Thing from Below into Master of Evolution is not a good play, because in most cases you will lowroll into some shitty minion and would rather have a 5/5 taunt.
As a rule of thumb, Evolve is only to be used with Doppelgangster unless you die the next turn, and vice versa. Evolving a full board of totems will rarely give any value. Try to plan out playing Aya Blackpaw to not evolve her. The Doppelgangster combo is especially good because very few mass removal in the meta like Brawl can clear the board, and you can still flood the board with totems and Jade Golems afterwards. Doppelgangster with Spirit Echo can be good against a very heavy control deck. Keep in mind that it can be a very defensive combo, because there are many big taunts that costs six mana, and you are likely to get at least one.
Good luck!
Thanks for the tips. How is your win rate against the murloc/Tarim Paladin deck that I seem to play every other game? I'm having a tough time with it as every time I do the Doppelgangster + Evolve they seem to have Equality + Pyro or Consecration.
This just made my day :D Is this your first time reaching legend ever or on the Asia server? Anyway, I'm so happy that people like you got massive help from the deck, and took the time to apprieciate it with some feedback. Thank you so much for your support :D
Murloc Pally in general is a pretty even matchup, but I have never seen murloc pally run pyro and equality. I assume you are talking about the control pally with hydrologist?
Against control paladin, try to spam the board with totems and small jade golems to bait out an early Consecration. Make them think that you are playing a typical Jade or Elemental Shaman that drew a bad hand. Try to get some late game minions or preferably a Thing from Below from Stonehill Defender, and focus on reducing their cost.
Thing is, control paladin is pretty much helpless after they use Equality. Try to develop a board that they have to clear with Flametongue Totem and Mana Tide Totems, which is not a really threatening board but will still annoy them. Even though Equality is a superb board clear card, paladin will only have two, provided that they even draw them when needed. This deck has two Doppelgangster combos, the Jade package, and Stonehill Defender value, and even Spirit Echo. Hex is traditionally infamous for dealing with Tirion. Also, using Master of Evolution on a Aldor Peacekeepered minion is great value. Always keep Tarim Sunkeeper in mind when you leave minions on the opponent's board.
To sum up, try to apply constant pressure without overcommiting. Control Paladin will often stay above 25 health at turn 10, so don't get impatient and try to rush him down. Use shaman's ability to create a board without using cards to bait out removals one by one, and almost always trade. Control paladin cannot be the aggressor, so you can be a bit inefficient with your AOE spells (save Volcano for late game threats, or after a Tarim).
If you want advice for the more aggressive murloc pally with warleader and everything, let me know! Good luck!
