Funnest deck ever! General idea is to out value your opponent with copying Elise's pack.
Great deck for fun and even for ladder (i played this deck a bit on rank 5, had around 60% WR last month, up to 70% now).I hit rank 3 last season after playing it in most of my rank 5-3 games.
Guide:
Always keep those Northshire Cleric and Mana Geodes in Mulligan.
against warriors always act like your opponent is a pirate warrior (in mulligan), there are more of them and if you don't and it is one of the pirates, you lose.
Against Aggro- (Warrios/Druids) keep potion of madness in mulligan too, throw everything that doesn't serve you well in the early game. against aggro forget about out-valueing your opponent, it's going to be all about staying alive.Heal Mana Geodes for getting trade-able 2/2's, Try to get Priest Of The Feast with a lot of spells and maintain board control. Try to taunt up with your Tar Creepers and buff their HP so you opponent will have to trade a lot of minions for them, if he can't kill them heal them every turn. Shadow Word Pain OPOP.
Against Rogues- you can't know if it's miracle or Quest, so you will have to mulligan against the Quest's early game (Mulligan like vs aggro). Use your Holy Nova against their board before they use the quest, if you succeed in wiping the board before they use the Crystal Core you get a lot of value.
Try to get Dragonfire Potions in hand (by draw) and from Shadow Visions, they will wipe off the Rogue's board again and again.
In this matchup saving cards for lategame (like saving shadow visions for Elise packs when in control matchup) is the wrong play. you will have to throw all of your cards early-midgame to survive it.
Against Miracle Rogues, they can't do anything to you, this is an easy matchup
Against Control- FINALLY SOME FUN! this match up is so funnnn you just help them waste the time and wait for a late turn, maintain your board control until the later turns with Mana Geodes Northshire Clerics Tar Creepers and Talonpriests.
In Mulligan, somestimes I kick 3 drops and Mana Geode, it is ok not to have a good early game here it does not matter (if you are vs warrior so you mulliganed against aggro, that's great bcs you are going to want the 3 drops and Mana Geodes here [against the turn 4-7 quick taunt drops]). I like keeping Lyra here.
late game?! here comes the pack creation/Medivh ultimate VALUE. you Elise and start Shadow Visioning your packs, then you Lyra combo and you get more Shadow Visions (even if not, even 2 packs is a huge value). You can get more Free From Ambers from Lyra. When you Medivh-Free From Amber you get such a huge board for a 8 mana spell that you are in a decent situation, when you do it again your opponent cries.
Against Midrange- Hunter- same as aggro :/ calling that midranged is a lie.
Mulligan like control, Just be a bit more aggressive, do not throw the 3/2 drops, but you don't NEED the 1 drops and a nice little Geode for turn 2. Survive until the lategame and boom, outvalue them with Elise,Lyra,Medivh into winning.
If you have any questing and things you want to know about this deck, or thing you want me to add to this guide please write it at the comments and I will answer everything.
Card Replacements (epics/legies/adventures)
Mana Geode- Wild Pyromancer/Potion Of Madness. If you are facing a lot of pirate warriors you can try Ooze/Golakka Crawlers. If you are facing to much Quest Rogues then Dirty Rat should work.
Dragonfire Potion- you will now start losing to Quest Rogues... to bad... I think that doomsayers will do, or another Free From Amber (for Medivh), MB 1 Holy Fire (really bad though).
Medivh- go buy Karazhan! NOW!! xD no but seriously just go and buy Karazhan.
I guess you can replace this with another Free From Amber, but this is really bad.
Priest Of The Feast- go buy Karazhan!! NOW!!! you will KYS when in aggro match-up now :(
I suppose that Greater Healing Potion/ Darkshire Alchemist/ 1 Holy Nova (if you don't have 1 from earlier, other replacements are preferred.)
Cabal Shadow Priest- Mana Geode and it's replacements should work out.
Kibler's Video-

Love this deck, early ladder so far rank 17-15 but i win every time against hunter and mage... only met 2 rogues so far and i lost one of them. 8 of 10 wins so far...im optimistic
Take out at least one of those mana geode's and put a dirty ra, it can really screw your opponent's game plan.
I will add it to my list and try it, if it will work for me I will update the list.
I played Dirty Rat instead (don't own Geodes) and it has problems against the decks I was seeing: any control and murloc paladin. I think this is a meta-based decision change, and it wasn't working for the several games I tried it.
all These rank 20 Players in the comments...
I actually played this deck last season after seeing it on kibler's stream from rank 3 0* to rank 2 5* ...undefeated.
if you are too bad for complicated decks you should blame yourselves ;)
Absolute garbage.
haha that was hard, at least you made me laugh
I'm playing a deck very similar to this, and I have a much harder time against Quest Rogue. IDK if you just got lucky, or if I just got unlucky, but I never see them over extend into board clears before playing Caverns hahaha. I have huge issues getting/keeping their hand empty. I did watch the video you put up, and that guy played terribly if you ask me. Also, I've never actually seen anyone let me heal a Mana Geode. Even the most mindless face players know to trade for it, so I found it almost impossible to get value. You mention that deck has a 60%, eventual 70% winrate, but yet you couldn't get above rank 3? I feel like there is some amount of false information happening.
I'm totally with you bro. Never in a second could I think about crafting Mana Geode. Most of the time, that card is just an expensive 2/3 vanilla to me.
I assume the reason OP sees quest roques over extend is because he's not playing the top ranks.
Every single roque that knows what he's doing saves his charge minions for when the quest is finished.
Everyone that over extends against Priest just cannot be in the higher ranks.
Didn't get above rank 3 because I didn't have enough time, I was on vacation for most of the month so I couldn't play until April 25th, then I didn't have enough games to complete the legend climb. IDK about you having a hard time vs Rogues, but you do not need them to over extend before using the Quest Reward (Crystal Core) to win, and I never said Rogues play the charge minions before using the crystal core :). one more thing, you can't just go and call someone a liar, your comment was disgusting and tactless. You shouldn't blame me for lying just because something I said was unlikely to happen in your opinion.
About Mana Geodes, it is true that if you play them in early turns your opponents will trade for them, and that is what you want. When enemy aggro wastes their effort on killing minions they spend resources. Now, if you have Taunt on board, and you summon Mana Geode your opponent might not have the ability to kill it, and then you get to heal it. If you summon Mana Geode after a board clear then he might not be able to kill it immediately, and then or he summons no minions and loses his board presence, or he summons minions and you get to trade for them and heal the Mana Geode :)
Thervandrus:
True, I opened both of them, if I wouldn't have had them I would have played replacements as well.
Ummm. My comment was honest. I'm sorry if you didn't like it. It was my opinion. You have plenty of excuses/reasons now, that you could have posted about why you didn't make legend with your 70% winrate. I'm sorry you chose to keep those to yourself until someone brought it up, and are offended that I asked about why you didn't make legend. You need to grow up though, and get ready for criticism and questions when you post very boastful information with little evidence. I could have been far more ruthless and rude about what I said. I was honestly curious about how it was possible that this deck did so well for you but you never hit legend.
Writing those reasons just did not seem necessary at the time. And I said it was only 60% WR at the time. Lets say I had even 60 games after rank 5 (and I had less). So I won 60/100*60=36, lost 60-36=24. 36-24=12, the star amount I won. gets to rank 3 (5 stars=rank). I have also played a Midrange Hunter list and a Tempo Mage list that season, and they had a better WR,and that is why I got to rank 3 (with the amount of games I played overall I wouldn't have got rank 3 with this deck, that demands a bit more effort-playing more games).
MB this month though, I know I will have some free time this month to climb ladder a bit,I will try climbing with this deck and post here the result.
Look at his replay against quest rogue, this obviouly doesn't count as game reference, terrible quest rogue player and he had some luck with free from amber. He can say rng is a part of the game, but I think he need replay with better player to convince people. Reading this guide about facing quest rogue sound like extremely favorable match, but it's not.
Yea not good
pray2win :)
Any reasonable replacement for Mana Geode?
This is a hard one, basically Mana Geode is a very powerful card against aggro, replacing it will mean you will start losing more often to aggro decks (pirates, token druids...). The card replacement here should be a low cost card that will be able to get some board control, presence. I am thinking about Wild Pyromancer as the best replacement here.
EDIT- on a second thought, Golakka Crawlers and Oozes will work vs pirates, 1 more Potion Of Madness will work for trading your opponent's minions against his own and by that winning the board control.
And Dirty Rats to get combo pieces from Quest Rogue's hands
Fun deck but not efficient in ladder
