MVP Cards
Arcane Giant - Second wind play, people don't expect them and don't save removal.
Radiant Elemental - Allows for plays such as turn 3 Radiant Elemental -> Shadow Visions -> Power Word: Shield
Mulligan
Radiant Elemental + Cheap spells - Power Word: Shield, Shadow Word: Pain
If your opening hand allows it, go for PW:S + Divine Spirit + Inner Fire, possible Shadow Visions discover
Always keep early game cards like Tar Creeper to buff them
Vs. Aggro : throw away Acolyte of Pain, keep spells only if you have a Radiant Elemental, keep Priest of the Feast as a 4 drop.
Play Kabal Songstealer as a tempo card unless your opponent has viable silence targets - Paladin buffs (Spikeridged Steed), Hunter deathrattle (Savannah Highmane), Scavenging Hyena, as an answer to 4 attack taunts such as Primordial Drake (allows you to bypass taunt and OTK with Inner Fire combo against taunt warrior) etc.
Tech
As suggested in a comment, 1 Kabal Songstealer for Elise the Trailblazer vs control for value with Shadow Visions.
Shadow Word: Death for Dragonfire Potion (vs Egg druid, Quest rogue)
Remember to not have too many spells in the deck as Shadow Visions become more inconsistent.
HF :-)
Neat deck and I'm going to try it out and probably come back with some thoughts as I have all these cards since I just got Lyra in a pack.
I'm questioning Kabal Songstealer at the moment but after using the deck I hope it proves me wrong. (Thinking that Silence would be a better choice.)
This deck is so insanely powerful and unexpected. Your opponent essentially has to kill you as quick as possible, or keep the board clear until they can kill you. Almost every minion in this deck can become a OTK with 2x Divine Spirit and 1x Inner Fire in hand.
As long as you can boost your minion's health to 7 or better, you win in a single turn typically.
For early visions try to get potion of madness against decks that will be playing card draw or deathrattle minions. If that doesn't show up, grab a SW:P or divine/inner per usual. You basically need to last or keep the board until AT LEAST turn 5 to get your combo off.
Be aware of Mage Ice block. If they've generated spells they could have a polymorph in hand afterward, which you likely won't recover from.
I just went from rank 14 to 11 with no losses. FeelsSMOrcMan.
Worked well at first...now losing constantly to hunters :(
seeing that sweet "I Choose Death!" when i drop my 30/30 tar creeper... there is no better feeling.
Against aggro, you want to out tempo them by building high health minions so they won't bother killing them. Against anything else you want to OTK them. You can throw Lyra out more liberally with aggro but you should try to get value against slower decks.
I've played maybe 15 games or so with this deck now and the giants don't often come into play. I mostly win through having a massive Lyra or cleric or radiant elemental. Throwing down the giants after that just secure the win.
I was kinda thinking of doing something similar. Maybe just 1 giant needs to go? Seems weird that this deck has no AoE so maybe 1 holy nova would be good but honestly the deck is so solid it might not even need AoE.
There is only a single 1 drop - Northshire Cleric....
?
Aggro: Keep cleric, potion of madness, radiant elementals and tar creepers. Keep power word shield if you have a radiant elemental for turn 2 combo (elemental discounts shield giving you a 2/5 and drawing a card. Most aggro decks will ignore it).
Anything else: Pretty much the same except you might not play them on curve because you're not at risk of dying right away. You'll want to guarantee a draw with cleric and elemental + power word shield is still good unless it's against a priest. You can keep acolyte of pain and kabal talonpriest too. Lyra is possibly worth keeping too because for some decks your only chance is to try to get the draw engine going early and OTKing them as soon as possible. Examples would be like Jade Druid where waiting will mean giant jades. I've had games where I needed my draw engine and Lyra was in my bottom 5 cards. It sucks
Hehe I feel the same way Bars_848. Great deck
Absolutly amazing deck and best priest deck i have ever seen.
Dont talk about it anyone till i get my legend in these days.
