Hey guys!
Since I've been having very good results with it, I though I might as well share my Water/Aggro Rogue list with you. At first I though that the deck didn't surive the rotation but it seems to be very powerful still. I threw this list together at rank 260 or so when I dropped straight from rank 45 since everyone was hating on Quest Rogue so much. (The Murloc Paladin / Pirate Warrior Matchup is pretty tough with Quest..) and after grinding a little bit, made it all the way back to top 50.
One of the main reasons to play the deck is probably still Finja. That card is just sooo busted and completely warps the game when one player has access to it. Pair Finja with the aggressive / tempo heavy playstyle that Rogue offers and you're good to go. Many decks actually have a tough time beating a 5/1 Divine Shield for example.
The Playstyle can sometimes be simillar to a very linear aggro deck like Pirates but there's a lot more options / lategame in our deck which I enjoy a lot. Also most of the aggressive matchups are very favorable due to our fast clock paired with efficient removal.
I might do a guide on the deck once I've picked up a little more experience with the list but I feel that this deck has the potential to become a Tier 1 deck so I hope that you enjoyed the small write-up :)
Kind Regards
Pat

Edit: replaced Argent Squire with Fire Fly. Not sure if that's right or wrong and I love the Cold Blood + Squire combo, but Fire Fly is a pretty sticky minion and the 2nd toughness is oftentimes as good as divine shield. Sitting at rank 19 at the moment and liking the deck's position in the meta a lot still :)
Edit: new season high at rank 7 on EU Ladder at the moment. :) http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=7d3e59-1493374282.png
Чем можно заменить Ксарила,в этой декe????
Love this deck, recently crafted Finja and figured I'd check out what water rogue is up to. Currently 8-1 went from rank 5 to 3 no problem. Easy wins against Hunter and aggro murloc paladins!
Definitely love the Firefly over the Argent Squire, helps to set up combos and early board presence.
Been playing without Shaku, subbed in a Sap. Works great, really helps reach for lethal if the game carries on.
Great list!
Thank you. :-) I might be biased towards Shaku as I've won a lot of games on his back but Sap is definitely not a bad card so it's okay to play that in my opinion.
Good job and thanks for the comment! :)
Is Fan of Knives good in this deck?
If it does, which card to sub?
and what about Bloodmage Thalnos?
I don't think that Fan of Knives is good enough right now. Without Spell Damage (no Drakes, no Bloodmage) it rarely kills anything and for 3 mana it's too expensive to just cycle a card. I like Mimic Pod much better and we have a lot of 3 mana cards already anyway:)
I really like Mimic Pod tbh and it didn't feel too slow for me. After all with this many tempo plays in the deck, you'll find the time to use it sooner or later and having double leeroy and things like that can really turn a game around. :-)
I have constantly brought back Sherazin at least 2 times when I played with her so far and I played a lot of Matches with the deck. Give it a chance!
When mimic pod mimics something good it can be game winning . and it happens a lot
HI! Ofelia!!, i love ur deck, is so fun to play!. but i have a question.. i only can craft one of these legendaries: leeroy or xaril. what is the best in this deck? i think xaril is good but Leeroy works good in any aggro deck.. then.. what legendary i should create for this deck? Sry if my english sucks, im so bad!! ..
Thanks!!!
Hey, thank you very much! :-)
Definitely craft leeroy first if you want to play this deck. He's absolutely needed and the deck isn't viable without him! :)
Edit: And don't worry, your english is fine / good enough to understand you for sure!
Thanks so much for answering me so quickly. i hope u that climb fast in ladder if u are playing this deck! thanks for all. and again sorry for my english :D
Well, this could also be called walletrogue. Will try tonight, looks fun:)
Yeah, I suggested the "7 Legendaries, many epics budget Aggro Rogue" title before, but Walletrogue works as well :-)
Thanks! ;-)
I've been playing this deck for two days now (Sans Shaku, the Collector) with good results. The deck fits my preferred play style, so just crafted Shaku to complete the list. Prolly play it for a good while too.
Thanks for posting the deck!
Thank you & GL :) Shaku is one of my favorite cards in the deck, then again I really like the rogue legendaries. Usually they all have pretty unique effects!
probably im not playing it right,i dont see how aggressive this deck is :(
It's not as aggressive as for example Pirates but it does apply decent pressure and with cold blood / eviscerate / leeroy / other chargers you have a lot of burst damage available to you! :)
I've been eating rogues alive with this! Conversely, I haven't beaten a single taunt warrior yet. I don't have Xaril so I personally run Shadow Sensei mostly because it was my favorite rogue card from the last expansion.
Yes, the Rogue Matchup (and other classes that can't heal, like Hunter) is very easy. What I love about this deck is that despite being very aggressive it still has the necessary tools and reach to win a long game.
I'm actually having a slightly positive win-rate against Taunt Warrior at the moment, but I agree that the matchup is not easy. I'm sure that you'll be doing better once that you have a little more experience with the deck! :)
