Your standard tempo rogue deck with some new toys from Naxxramas.
Sludge Belcher is working amazingly well so far. It hurts Zoo's tempo A LOT, and they have to waste a lot of resources to deal with him. Those saying that it's just an overcosted Sen'jin should definitely try this card out. So much value for just five mana, it's amazing.
Anub'ar Ambusher: I'm still on the fence. Sometimes they allow some pretty sick plays with SI:7 or Defenders. They are obviously really good to drop on an empty board. I feel the drawback hasn't hurt me that much today in testing (some 30 games or so), but maybe I'm just eager to try out new cards. When the excitement is over I may swap those guys out for a couple Yetis or maybe Gnomish Inventor.
Loatheb: with this and the Sludge Belcher, today's wing of Naxxramas was the best 700 gold I could have spent ever. This card is amazing. It basically says "target Control opponent can't sweep your side of the board profitably next turn", and I don't need to tell you how awesome is that. When it's bad, it's a 5/5 body which is still great.
I'd love an Assassin's Blade in there, but I'm already too heavy on the five drops. It does help tremendously agaisnt control though (I've been seeing less and less Oozes these days).
Two Blade Flurry to punish overextending opponents and sweep the board. Drawing both early kind of sucks, but you really want to get at least one in some matchups. It's rarely a dead card anyways.
Everything else is fairly straightforward. I feel this is a great deck to climb the ladder with, since it tramples over Zoo and Rush decks (unless they get a god hand and you draw very poorly) and can hold its own against most other decks. Shaman is a bad matchup, but the only one I've really been struggling against so far. Against control you sometimes need to forgo board control and go for the face or they'll outlast you if the game goes late.
For budget cuts, Loot Hoarder can go in instead of Thalnos. TBK is hard to replace, but I'd say either Assassin's Blade, Spiteful Smith, Azure Drake or Sprint. Each one has its merits, so it's matter of taste imo. Leeroy gives you a late game finisher and it's also hard to replace. I suppose Molten Giants can work since your life total always gets low in some way or another, but I haven't tried with those. Another late game minion will do, but do not bother with Arcane Golem though, that card is awful.
I really like this deck! I'm missing Thalnos, TBK, SI:7 Agents, and Perditions Blade, and an argent commander. What I did was substitute 2x fan of knives and added 2 kobold geos, another drake and an ogre mage (a very underrated card). The spell damage makes blade flurry useful even without deadly poison, and makes FoKnives useful verses aggro decks that rely on a lot of 2 hit point minions (and useful for clearing leroy's whelps). Someone else commented on adding owls instead of spiders, and I did the same.
It's nice to have a useful Rogue deck again. Great work!
I really like this deck, I took out the spiders and put in an owl, and a fairy dragon, since I didn't see the point of the spiders
Might swap them for something else, really like the owl cause it throws alot of people off
Not bad at all. I didn't have Thalnos, TBK or Perdition's Blade, so I substituted another cold blood, mad bomber and Assassin's blade. My mana curve isn't quite as smooth as yours, but it still seems to work pretty well. I may have to figure out a way to get a Thalnos though, it seems like he would add to the speed of the deck.
