Had so much trouble with Loatheb until I played this deck, then won on my first attempt. Early board presence is essential, and you should mulligan for Shieldbearer, Lightwell, Shadow Word Pain and other low cost minions. Starting with more than 1 4-drop will almost certainly mean you lose.

Dropping Shieldbearer on turn 1 is amazing, as otherwise you'd usually be sitting on 22 health after turn 1. This way you save 5 health and often he plays leper gnome instead of the charge minion if you play shield.

If you can clear his board you're in for a good time as he will throw the AOE at you which spawns the spores, gg.
