About:

I am Salamander 7-time legend player from Finland. When I made this list I did not know about other Freeze Mages or did I face any on the way to legend. Now there are two other Freeze Mage lists on the front page, wow. I wouldn't have put this list on here if I had seen this coming. At least I can still make a guide, I hope it helps to get more freeze mages to shake up the meta a little bit. I have currently very little time to play, at the time I played to legend deck was completely meta destroying getting over 70% win-rate even on high ladder. So playing to legend with this deck was very easy for me.

Mulligan:

Always keep Arcanologist and other card draw such as Arcane Intellect. Card draw is more important against control decks, survivability such as Doomsayer , Volcanic Potion and Ice Barrier are kept against aggro decks. Now when you mulligan you have to keep in mind what you do on each turn. For example turn 2 Glyph or Arcanologist then turn 3 if you had Arcanologist you can play that secret that you just draw or the 3 mana card draw and so on. So keep mana on mind. Having 3x 3mana draws without coin is a bad idea. You can keep Medivh's Valet or Cheap Freeze against some aggro match-ups it is not optimal but better than mulligan them away to get Pyroblast.

Match-ups:

Druid, Hunter, Warlock: You have to get your secrets on time and clear their board on early stage with volcanic potion later with doomsayer + freeze. Be wary of Rhino.

Shamans: Same as above but sometimes they have healing. Still should not be a problem.

Priest: Priest can out heal you. Lyra with Elementals is endlessly free healing spells. If you have a chance consider killing Lyra or Elementals that priest plays before that, try not to use your burst on these try Doomsayer first. Important to get early Alex or good Antonidas. Take and keep cheap spells from Glyph for max number of Fireballs.

Paladin and Warrior: Heh, greetings. These guys can out heal you as well. If you expect Ragnaros the Lightlord coming you have to damage Paladins board. Be wary of Hydrologist Eye for an Eye. Against Warriors keep pinging their armor away and keep 2 - 7 armorsmith frozen. Keep in mind  Warriors usually cannot tank up and pressure you at the same time. If they have 4 damage on board you don't even need to freeze anything and you have all the time in the world. Be wary of Dörty Rat it can take out your Alex and Antonidas, if that happens game is usually lost.

Mage: Freeze or Time it is 50/50. Be the one to pop Ice Block first. Defensive Alex is great too. Glyph -> Ice Block wins you game.

Rogue: Quest Rogue is hard countered by Freeze after their Crystal Core. They cannot heal, just be very conservative with your Freezes and it should be really easy. Some play that 2 - 3 elemental that completes their quest, don't kill it.

Card Swaps:

Medivh's Valet - Loot Hoarder

Primordial GlyphLoot Hoarder

Pyroblast - Surprise mothfk*** it is Loot Hoarder

Lots of Aggro? consider adding L̶o̶o̶t̶ ̶H̶o̶a̶r̶   one more Volcanic Potion

General Strategy:

Alex brings some life and hope and then you simply burst them and mourn their death. If board and your hp are empty defensive Alex is great too. Alex is not always needed you can get enough burst with Antonidas too. (Or even without Antinodas all spells are 31 damage and you get some extra muscle from Glyphs). Before that you of course have to survive to the late game, Freeze board and when there is enough stuff use Freeze + Doomsayer or the other board clear such as Thalnos + Potion. There are some other trivial little things too but you will learn them in progress. Last and the most important thing: Have fun!
