This deck was made specifically to defeat Heigan the Unclean Heroic. As a cheaper and more consistent alternative to the suggested Miracle Rogue.
It centers around board control through the use of spells Soulfire, Drain Life, Sacrificial Pact & Siphon Soul.
NOTE: This deck is slow-paced but very solid. Expect to go past turn 10 and don't worry about taking damage early as this deck provides a LOT of healing. Allow him time to use his Demonfire to buff before using your clearing spells!
To counter his passive you should get a Stoneskin Gargoyle to the left most spot. But preferably after you've buffed a Gurubashi Berserker using Heigans Hero power.
Other minion cards are purely fillers, ones that either won't be 1hit by the passive Sen'jin Shieldmasta and cards that will benefit from it Nerubian Egg & Haunted Creeper. Once you have the Stoneskin Gargoyle down, you should aim at dropping the Sunwalkers which he will attack and clear his board, finish the rest off with spells while hitting him directly with everything else.
I threw a mind control tech in there which will help if the board is getting too full and is a great help to swing it back in your favor.
Mulligan: Soulfire, Sacrificial Pact, Nerubian Egg, Stoneskin Gargoyle. Don't just throw them out though, the Stoneskin Gargoyle you should mulligan for but save it until he has used his clearing spells (Shadow Bolt ect.) on other minions. As it stops a lot of pressure from his passive.
Edit: After feedback I changed the Twilight Drake for Sen'jin Shieldmasta
Thank you all for your feedback and input. I'm glad my deck helped you defeat Heigan (Or helped you build a deck that did) and thank you for the support! I'll no longer be responding to comments, but hope this continues to help others that get stuck. <3
Here's a couple of videos of other users using this deck.
Thanks to MattSparks!
Thanks bud!!! Done in the second Run...Great deck btw
First try, easy, well done sir or madam!
Try this one. http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/80744-heigan-heroic-budget-zoo
Yeah its better to insta concede if u don't have atleast 2 of those cards at starting hand.
This deck is pure awesome. It allowed me a win on my second try even though I don't have a second Siphon Soul or a second Sunwalker in my collection. Plus the boss had both Dread Infernals out by turn 6 on that try (first one though deathrattle of Voidcaller), and I had used up a Pact on the firs Voidcaller, with no Siphon Soul/second Pact in sight. Really convinced with this deck.
Edit: Ran a few more tries, ended up with a 4/13 (around 30%) win rate. So maybe not great, but the deck works.
This is getting frustrating... I'm on my 3rd deck for Heigan.... i swear I have the worst draw luck.
You know you can just mulligan a few times until you get the right starting cards? I usually mulligan 5-6 times to make sure I have the best chances of winning...
This deck works really well when you have the right card draw. If you don't get cards to soak up his hero power, or if you do something like soullfire away your sense demons on accident, it can be tricky to over come. But I was able to do it on my second try. I also like how F2P this deck is. Well made, Kawdie.
needed 15 tries, added molten giants in place of frost elementals as you get low fast
It took me several tries to get the right line up of draws (i.e. luck), but this deck DID work for me.
This deck is a monster vs Heigan, well done.
Easy peasy. First try with this deck. The pacts and soulfires were key.
Beat it on the 2nd try, great deck
Killed him on first try, thank you for deck.
Sacrificial pact is awesome lol
Kills Voidcaller, deathrattles another Voidcaller.
Ragequit
Got it to work 2nd time. Well done, and double kudos for restricting it to commons and rares. Least valuable player goes to Twilight Drake, which you probably won't have enough cards in hand to make more powerful than a Yeti in most cases.... so might as well just use a Yeti. Frost Elemental would be 2nd least valuable.... Boulderfist Ogre may be a better fit for both surviving the Hero Power and delivering a solid punch. Also worth considering: ShadowFlame to spend a damaged/overwhelmed minion to clear the enemy board.
This guy has it right on the money. These heroic bosses aren't supposed to be one shot.
This deck took me 3 or 4 tries to kill Heigan. However, I think it relies on a lot of luck (both in card draw and in what Heigan plays). That's just the nature of card games though.
One thing I recommend: when you get to late game, "rotate" the further left so a single minion doesn't take two shots from his hero power (unless you have the gargoyle)
lol you guys are such liars, 32 attempts and still not even under 30 HP for Heigan...
I have to agree with the above poster. Can't get it to work and am getting run over way too fast.
You understand this is HEROIC, right?
