i might be missing something but why is barnes in the deck?

i might be wrong but i think its for the beast synergy

Fiery Bat, Kindly Grandmother, Scavenging Hyena, Infested Wolf, Tundra Rhino, Savannah Highmane, Cult Master

That means all your deck except for sure the Bittertide Hydra

Loooks like it's a curving decision. Deck already has 7 3-drops. The 4 drop most likely allows deck to curve out better.

Awesome deck went from rank 9 to 5 with 22 games. 17 - 5 (77% win rate). Only thing i changed in the deck was - 1 Bittertide Hydra + 1 Infest

Infest really helped out alot with refilling your hand when doing it on 4+ minions. Sick card with unleash and double Alleycat play on turn 1.

Bittertide Hydra isn't mandatory, but exchanging it for Infest is even worse. 

If you have 4 minions on board, you'll most likely win; if you play Hydra with another 4 minions on board, then that's something almost no deck can recover from with average hand, but if instead you play infest, then you're giving a way out for your opponent, because at that point he would probably be losing for being a slower deck and giving a slower deck time in exchange for random beasts on your hand would be just dumb, because not only they will have the mana to take the whole (weak) board they will also outvalue you, even if you used infest on 7 minions AND - just like any other slower deck - they can answer your plays much easier on later turns. Hydra on that position is way better because they either remove Hydra and keep taking the damage from 4 small minions + the ones you play later or they clear all the small minions and leave an 8 attack minion going face.

It's like trying to cover one weakness (card draw/refill/steam) but lowering 2 main strenghts of your deck. It's not worth it in the end.
