General

So this is one of my favourite decks of April 2017 - the epitome of value. Its versatility lets you adapt (haha pun plz kill me) to different playstyles and win many many games. As a control deck, it's very good against aggro and face decks (yes, I'm looking at you, Pirate Warriors). Against other control decks you often have the edge with swing turns from N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Medivh, the Guardian.

Matchups

Against aggro you're favored due to board clears like Volcanic Potion, Blizzard, Flamestrike, Doomsayer, Kazakus spells. and the heals from Mistress of Mixtures and the powerhouse card Reno Jackson. Additionally there are important taunts like Deathlord, Tar Creeper and Sludge Belcher. All in all you can often survive till you stabilize or hit the Reno. When you face aggro, Mulligan everything away that costs more than 2 mana or isn't Reno/Kazakus. The low mana curve (16 cards for 3 mana or less) lets you consistently play cards in the early game to buffer the aggression.

Against Combo Decks you have the Ice Block. You can get it from Mad Scientist or the Arcanologist.

When you face Control Matchups you can relax as you got your N'Zoth, the Corruptor and your 10-mana Kazakus Spell, filling your board two times with big minions. Try to play Deathlord as soon as possible to draw out an important minion from your opponent. If you're lucky you can Duplicate a high impact minion like Ragnaros the Firelord or Sylvanas WindrunnerMedivh, the Guardian comboed with a boardclear allows huge tempo swings in the later stages of the game and often pushes for the win. An occassional Polymorph can save your ass against other N'Zoth decks.

Card Choices

It's fairly obvious that we want to play the strongest deathrattle minions there are. At the same time we want to keep the mana curve low, so we we have more freedom in our turns. I didn't include Brann Bronzebeard in this deck since there are too few Battlecry minions. But you can try a different, Battlecry oriented style without N'Zoth like in my Battlecry Reno Mage. That deck has even more value at the cost of tempo.

Conclusion

This deck works at all ranks. I even got to legend with it thanks to all the Pirate Warriors on March 2017 (without Ungoro cards) and April 2017 (this decklist).
