Card Explanations:
Backstab - Staple in almost all Rogue decks. Helps with early game and favourable trades later on in the game.
Preparation - Staple in almost all Rogue decks. Preferably used with Crystal Core and Vanish. Use early against faster decks.
Shadowstep - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Fire Fly - Good early game minion. Good Battlecry for bouncing. Flame Elemental from this card and Igneous Elemental allow for easy quest completion and saving the bounce cards for later in the game.
Glacial Shard - Best card against aggro decks like Pirate Warrior. This is your main card against big threats like Edwin VanCleef. Normally used to stall before you complete the quest.
Patches the Pirate - Works well with Southsea Deckhand and Swashburglar. 1 Mana 5/5 Charge after the quest. Can be used as a finisher if bounced many times.
Southsea Deckhand - Works well with Patches the Pirate. 1 Mana 5.5 Charge after the quest. Can be used as a finisher if bounced many times. Can also be used early game against faster decks.
Swashburglar - Works well with Patches the Pirate. Good Battlecry for bouncing. You might want to bounce this card against certain classes, such as Mage, Warrior, Rogue. The reason why is because there are plenty of cards you can get from them that can help.
The Caverns Below - Rogue Quest. The deck is built around this card. This is your win condition.
Eviscerate - Good early game removal. Staple in almost all rogue decks.
Gadgetzan Ferryman - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Novice Engineer - Card draw! Good Battlecry for bouncing. You probably want to bounce this card against slower decks to cycle as much as possible.
Youthful Brewmaster - Helps complete the quest. Can also be used later in the game with the amount of Battlecry minions this deck.
Igneous Elemental - Flame Elemental from this card and Fire Fly allow for easy quest completion and saving the bounce cards for later in the game. Good card to play against AoE.
Mimic Pod - Gives you duplicates. At first I wasn't a fan of this card because of how slow it was. But after playing with/without it I have come to believe that this is a staple for this deck. If you land something crazy like a Shadowstep with this card then the game is already over. And of course... card draw!
Vanish - "Why are you playing Vanish without Coldlight Oracle?" In the previous version of this deck, I did in fact have Coldlight Oracle. However I noticed that if I drew Novice Engineer or Mimic Pod early, then the Coldlight Oracle would just be sitting in my hand. I don't like cards that just sit in my hand. Also, fuck Fan of Knives for AoE. Doesn't kill shit and it's probably going to draw you a Backstab anyway.

This deck is sick.
Very good against Aggro hunters and warlocks where you shove all the minions on board back to their hand followed by Coldlight Oracle and mill them sick.
Number of possible win conditions with this one. Even some games where I couldn't get quest completed by turn 7 or 8, I still won.
I got a number of salt rage response using this one.
I initially doubted the use of Glacial Shard in the deck.
Then I had a game where I froze a Warrior who had an 8/4 Arcanite Reaper for about 6 turns.

I've had pretty good success with this list. Only lost to murloc shaman so far.
Especially rare now that he added the neutral fire elementals. If you can't complete by turn 5 you did something wrong with these new revisions lol.
Honestly I think that this is definitely the most consistent list I have played yet. Coldlight really extends your reach even against aggro. The only deck that has managed to beat me rank 15-10 was a miracle rogue, and 2 aggro hunter lists.
Mimic Pod > Coldlight Oracle
Oracle feeds the opponent with more tools to either survive or out-tempo the Rogue Flood.
This deck can be legend, and hats down to that, but it can hardly help other players.
I was thinking the same thing about Coldlight Oracle at first but since I've tried the deck there's no way I'm taking it out for a while... I've burned so many of the opponent's cards that would have lost me the game if they'd had them or at least made it much more difficult... Last game I burned a priest's N'Zoth as well as lots of his other removals... game before that I burned a Paladin's Tirion, and Wickerflame, as well as some removals... It may not be super good against Aggro but later game and against control it's such a good card...
How often did you burn your own Quest? :D :D
LOL I'm new to playing rogue and this is the first quest deck so like my second game playing I wasn't paying attention and I burned it because I was playing the Novice engineer to complete my quest... Learned my lesson once from that... Never again LOL... That wasn't ranked thankfully... Been climbing steadily now through rank 3 currently...
I don't think Coldlight Oracle fits that great in this deck because of aggros. They are generally a difficult match and giving them more resources seems bad.
Coldlight Oracle is actually really strong in this deck.
You just have to evaluate: Who profits more from drawing 2 cards?
Against Aggro, sure PRE-Quest your Opponent gets more value from card draw, but if these 2 cards enable you to complete your Quest by Turn 4/5, you still might want to give those cards to your opponent (unless it is pirate warrior or token druid :D )
Against control, Coldlight Oracle (as well as Vanish ) gives you a tool to outvalue your opponent.
So I'd say: if you face a lot of Aggro, you rather want to go for the Fire Fly Variant and if you are up against more Control then Coldlight should be just fine
Dog played an exact version of this deck on stream
I was really thinking about coldlights. glad someone thought the same.
replaces for vancleef and swashburglars?
The swashburglars are pretty essential.
Its an adventure card. Karazhan
Its pretty nasty I must admit. I don't know how blizzard will balance this but other decks seem to do decent against it unless they get the nuts.
Senfglas made this deck
Wow man! This is the gayest version so far. The coldlights REALLY set this deck off. Take dogs deck, remove the fat, and increase the speed and consistency, you get this deck.
