Guide and mulligan after +50 votes. EDIT: threshold has been reached.
Mulligan: Try very hard to get 1-drops. If you have coin, you can keep Councilman against slow deck, and also dire wolf alpha/ravasaur runt if you double 1-drop turn 1.
UPDATE (4/29):
-Mortal coil -Shadowflame -Feeding Time
+Argus
+Crazed Alchemist (instant kill totem/doomsayer and easier trade with taunt warrior)
+Argent commander (can also Leeroy but argent is better at trading with divine shield)
UPDATE (May 20):
-Argent Squire > 2 Soulfire. I hate to use discard in the pure zoo, but extra reach for lethal and removal is necessary and very important in this meta and sometimes too much 1-drop is overkill. I still insist not to use Doomguard though.
-Devilsaur egg > Additional Eggnaper. Devilsaur is 3 mana lost tempo. 0/3 does nothing and too slow in this meta. Eggnaper is more pressuring and valuable since it's deathrattle synergive with the deck and weapon class usually against killing it unless they have1 damage aoe. It's a neutral ratpack made for zoo <3
-Abusive sergeant > Dark Iron Dwarf. 1 sergeant is enough and 4 attack is solid against Priest.
-Frostwolf Warlord > 2 Nesting Roc. Taunt is very important to keep your key minions alive (Knife Juggler/Councilman) and it is easy to have atleast 2 minions by turn 5 as zoo. Frostwolf is solid as an aggressive version of it (Bittertide Hydra-esque) but is does not protect your other minions from enemy attacks and 4/7 body is usually good enough.
-1 Ravenous Pterrordax > Sea Giant. You can still use frostwolf in this spot or even keep using 2 pterrordax but I think 1 is enough because this meta is very aggressive and sometimes you don't have a good token to eat with it (Like eating councilman is not great). Sea Giant is good craft if you die hard zoo lover (1 is enough). It can be 1-4 mana 8/8 if you and your enemy floods the board and it's cost is flexible compared to warlord. Always flood the board first and trade last if you want to drop Sea Giant on the turn.
When adapting what do you go for?
It depends on the situation you face. [Pterrordax] If you want aggression Windfury + 3 Attack, Windfury + Can't be targeted, Windfury + Stealth, +3 Attack + Divine Shield (or any combination of above). Against taunt warrior you may want +3 attack + can't be targeted or Poisonous + Spawn 2 plant when die. Against pirate or agro and if you need tp be defensive you can go Taunt + 3 health or Taunt + Divine shield. Against another zoo hunter token druid or class with removal Spawn 2 plant deathrattle is universally good.
For ravasaur runt +3 health divine shield poisonous spawn 2 plant is all good choice. +1/+1 +3 attack or windfury for aggression. Can't be targeted or stealth for preparing lethal turn
Nice, one. The deck has been updated to be more strong after the rise of hunter and paladin. Check it out fellow zoo lover :)
The deck has been updated
I just climbed from rank 15 to rank 9 with the deck. Check out the lastest change that made this deck more viable in the meta
This deck just sucks for me. In five games I only encounted one quest rogue and lost that game too. It doesn't have enough board presence or removal of those big taunts. Worst Zoolock I've ever played.
You played 5 games :) After you play more, come back.. After 5 games you cannot say this deck sucks -.-

NoLogic..
It might be good in some games. I just didn't see what more I could do with it and discardlock is much better, since you don't need to play so many cheap minions that just get wasted by a small aoe. So even if you have good tempo, it's easily countered. After losing my Councilmen, there wasn't much threat to play and you have no charge like discardlock has. I think andriska's suggestions are legit, because they would help with the card draw issue and add some versatility as well.
That being said, I think Warlock drew the short straw in this expansion.
Hey if you feel like you ran out of threat after board clear, you can try Bittertide Hydra. It's 5 mana unconditional 8/8 that strong against control (that ran out of removal). But it is risky against swarm deck since 8 tick of damage to hydra can cost you 24 health. Argent Commander too. Though you can always put doomguard without any other discard element
Love the deck(made a few tweaks though
I'm currently at a 8/3 win ratio at rank 15-10, the 3 losses are against beast hunter...
Great job, yeah hunter is 50-50 on who gains more tempo first. Missing turn 1 or going second is very dangerous if the hunter plays alleycat and you don't have firefly or voidcaller. Otherwise even match
Thanks, a little bit grind but the deck took me from 15 to 9
I changed it up a little, no egg napper and minus one fire fly for extra devilsaur and argus. did the sub for leeroy and the giant. 12-2 against nothing but pirate warriors and quest rogue. Thanks for the ranks lol
But i am considering subbing out that extra argus for that egg napper for better tempo
any way to fit trailblazer in? just so I have some late game
you can put it inplace of feeding time or mortal coil
pure garbage.
