Minor changes to final guide "image" will be made.
Things to add in: "Sideboard" - SI:7 Agent.
Changes that may be made - Remove Cold Blood and Leeroy Jenkins, put in Xaril, Poisoned Mind and Shaku, the Collector.
I really feel like the impact of the missing SI7's especially against Hunters and Aye Aye Warrior. I just took the Mimic Pot out - because for me it feels to inconsistent - most times I just end up with another Arcane Giant.
Could be my badluck tho.
One SI7 can easily give you the edge against Hunter by killing their Hyena with Backstab+SI7 or getting rid of that Frothing Berserker against the "Heh, Greetings." spamming Warrior.
I could even argue removing one of the Giants for another SI7 because of draw consistency, because the list already runs Leeroy+ColdBlood.
That would need further testing, since two 0 Mana 8/8's are great most of the time.
Proof me wrong but that's my opinion, I really enjoy playing most of the list as it is right here, just made my own improvements after around 50 rounds.
Ladder decks change fast, so left this deck as it is for now since new decks will take it place.
I understand what you're trying to say, though removing an Arcane Giant isn't the best candidate to remove (it's the most solid wincondition).
I would suggest you tech-out one or all four of these: Coldblood, Sap, Mimic Pod and/or Leeroy.
I replaced Bloodmage Thalnos with Shaku, working great so far. (I don't have Bloodmage unfortunately)
Is this playeable without patches and thalnos?
Hi Pet.
Patches is a very consistent card since of the Pirate synergy. Almost, always sees some action in each game. If asked personally, I would say Patches is one of those "must craft" this rotation since it's used in so many different decks. BUT you could try playing something else you like instead.
Thalnos is bae. Nah, but you can pull it of without him. Loot hoarder would by my suggestion or a SI:7.
All in all, try running 2x SI:7 instead! :)
Thanks for the suggestion!
Basically Elise Garden Rogue with Leeroy instead of SI2 : Agent
Well, if we're gonna be like that -- wasn't the first to use it, but hey, thank you. This kind of comment/s is/are always helpful. (-.-)
Sorry that sounded douchey mate. Thanks for the little guide
Yeah, I kinda wanted to ask something similar about Elise, but someone else did that and I didn't get roasted :P
BUT, jokes aside, I do have a serious question - should I SI:7, or should I Leeroy? I know that SI:7 gives nice tempo, but having only one copy seemed a bit meh to me, and with Leeroy, well, at least I'll have a chicken. Is that burst necessary, or just a matter of preference/meta?
I like this deck, but it can so tough against aggro. When I mulligan and get a bummer hand, it's so sad watching my health drop to under 15 before turn 4. Still thank you for sharing :)
Well hey, if you're having fun. It shouldn't matter :)
There is a chance, but there is no deck that's good against everything. :)
Hey.
Double auctioneer can feel as a "overdrive" when it comes to cycle. BUT, it's there (2x) to increase the chance to draw one. Making sure you'll at least pull one per game before/when you reach midgame. Both Sherazin and Giants benefit from such reload cards as auctioneer. This deck wants a large hand.
You could always try to remove one and see how you'll fair without one. Be sure to track it and compare.
replace for thalnos and patches?
Patches is there for early control (mostly used as removal, 1 additional damage) and Thalnos for Fan of Knives and Backstab removal. I would suggest to "try" to run 2x Shiv instead.
I'm missing almost all of the legendaries here except for Van Cleef that I fortunately got from a pack. Should I be fine simply finding other cards that can fill their roles or should I look elsewhere for decks?
consider questing adventurer as replacements for sherazin and i've had success with a 2nd cold blood as replacement for patches.
Sounds good thank you.
Ugh I'm really trying to convince myself it's worth it to craft Patches...
i've put Shaku, the Collector and it works pretty well against pirates, most of the time he makes me a taunt minion or armor gain spell, and if protected by the taunts it can keep making me more and more warrior class cards that are Pirate Warrior weakness, who would thought.
