Only commons, 1000 dust. Build board, hit face, buff board, hit more face. Taunt is cheat, swipe face.
Deck is good enough to hit Rank 5 with, got on a win streak from 11 to rank 7 4 stars. 5 losses later hit 5 without any techs or adjustments needed.
Good matchups are anybody running quest (maybe murloc would beat this but i didn't run into it).
Pirate warrior should be favored if you get an ok innervate or fire fly in opening hand. Same with Shaman, you should be able to win the board control even with all their board clears, just be sure not to overextend.
Paladin is hard, but mostly depends on how well they play their consecrates.
Hunter is the most fun and probably a favored to even matchup.
Miracle rogue is tough and represented 2 of the 5 losses in my run, hope for quest rogue ;)
Mirrors are tough because they typically play better cards like finja package, living mana, hydra or defender of argus, be smart with dire wolf and igneous and you'll have a good chance.
Priest is weird, but Lyra/divine spirit is favored unless they get a ridiculous turn, watch out for potion of madness and try to buff igneous as soon as possible to play around it. Silence is harder since they usually have a big taunt or two that you have to trade lots of board for even if you do have the savage roar in hand.
Mage is easy unless they get a great freeze draw and can chain or clear you from turn 4 on.
Warlock is a mixed bag, you can win board control against zoo, but they have draw so don't waste too much time and be sure to transition to face before you run too low on cards. Handlock is annoying due to big taunts and aoe, but not as bad as silence priest mostly, force them to make the trades and try to save swipe for reach.
i dont have karazan, do you have any good swaps for pantry
also, i both have the pirate package and a bit of the murlock package (finja)
Pirate package is a solid add (maybe drop an igneous as well), as is finja package (all or nothing, if you don't have both bluegills and both warleaders, then don't bother), lots of folks enjoy Vicious Fledgling in these decks as well. With these options you're looking at a non-budget deck though so I'd suggest hybridizing between this and other lists as you are able.
Aggro druid is one of the most flexible lists out there, pretty much the only solid cards that you should think twice before flexing out of the deck are the 1 drops and the buffs. Consider how you want to apply pressure and whether you want to support a wide strategy (eggnapper, igneous, soul of the forest, living mana), a tall strategy (ravasaur runt, fledgling, swipe, hydra), a counterplay strategy (crabs, secret eaters), or an all-in approach (innervate, finja, fledgling, leeroy). All have their pros and cons, just figure what you have the cards for, what you enjoy and what best hits what you are facing.
If I have access to both 2x souls & spores, but don't have pantry spider, what do you think would be a good replacement? Thanks for the deck!
Drop the swipe for your choice of second soul or spore, I wouldn't run more than 2 of those 4 mana buffs though, too much risk to getting clogged up with only those and your other buff cards for my taste. As for replacing pantry, I'd aim for another beast like Vicious Fledgling, or maybe Pterodax Hatchling if you're keeping to commons. Alternatively you can always consider a combination of Living Mana and/or Bittertide Hydra.
Thanks for the tips and deck! Looking forward to finally getting to rank 15 and maybe even 10.
Interesting deck. Pantry spider looks too slow. Igneous Elemental might be too slow as well, since it has to die to replenish the hand. Tortollan Forager might be worse than Loot Hoarder in this deck (the following might bring you card you do need). You need two Souls. I personally think that 2xEvolving spores are needed in this kind of the deck.
Interesting thoughts. Pantry is a tough one because its one of the 6 good targets for Mark of Y'shaarj (backup targets are DWA and Eggnapper raptors) so if you decide to replace I'd suggest aiming for another beast or cutting Y'shaarj as well.
Igneous plays a dual role of being a strong t1 innervate (River croc usually can 2 for 1 and the bonus dudes make for great buff fodder later), and later in the game he is your anti-aoe replenish card, you don't want to go too passive against things like taunt warrior brawl, so this allows you a decent play that also hedges you and gives you something to do next turn. I'd say maybe living mana as a replacement as I feel that bounce back is its best benefit.
Loot hoarder is a cool idea I hadn't considered, I was playing Tortollan for the two drop and the offchance of getting decent late game, you might be on to something with loot though.
As for the Souls and Spores, yep, I agree with you. One of my goals here was to be 1k dust or less, so double Soul and E-Spores sadly had to be cut, if you want to keep with the restriction, maybe try a second Soul for a Igneous or even Argent Squire depending on the speed of what you're running into. Anyway, feel free to add into a less restrictive deck build, I'd imagine they would be better :D
Haha, thanks! The first swap in this deck is almost always the Swipe, try 1 in place there and see how it feels, then maybe swap an Igneous for the second if you like it.
