PSA: As I've just come to realize she runs Oozes! I feel like the Eaglehown Bow is still a very efficient way of putting damage, I will see if there's a need to make changes accordingly though!

Hey guys! I just beat Heroic Maexxna and I want to share this really well working deck with you. Even though the Heroic bosses have 45 Health, Maexxnas ability to toss 2 minions back to your hand for free left me with the conclusion that rush is the only logical approach, thus I created a Hunter deck, tweaked it a little and had success twice now!

Warning: The following paragraphs, inevitably, contain spoilers regarding Maexxna, if you have not faced her yet you might want to stop here!

General Strategy:

So, let's kick this off. As mentioned, the main perk of Heroic Maexxna is the ability to bounce back whatever you play for 0 mana. That makes it really hard to justify playing anything but charge creatures, you'd have to play at minimum 3 creatures per turn to develop any kind of board. Another thing to abuse is the fact  that she Starts with, and further develops Haunted Creepers. In how far does this benifit you? Well, this is where we determine the first card you want to mulligan for:

Explosive Trap

The Explosive Trap will help you get rid of the Haunted Creepers and turn them into Spectral Spider tokens. These, you want to keep on the field as long as you can afford to, since it will give you incredible value using the second card you will dig for:

Unleash the Hounds

The reasoning is simple, the AI seems to be programmed to ignore the little threads and only dispose of big minions and minions that buff. So, your hounds or at least most of them, will usually stay on the field. This will enable your Kill Commands to be Fireballs on steroids, they should, in almost any case hit Maexxna directly, as you will be in need of quite some burn to get rid of 45 Points of Health. Do see, however, that Maexxna will aim to get rid of Timber Wolf, so use them efficiently!

Well, the rest of the deck is pretty self explanatory, Tracking helps you thin out the deck and dig for your answers really well, flare does so as well, but I personally only chose one of them since you prefer to use all your mana dealing damage if you can. Flare is just a slower Tracking in that regard. Charges go to the face, Leokk can be used after unleashing hounds if it's bounced back to your hand, a free Huffer mashine is really nice as well. Misha is largely useless, unfortunately, but I figure that's a risk one has to take.

What you have to be careful about:

Maexxna will, if you successfully fill her board with tokens, hardly be able to play any minions anymore. 2 minions seem to come out very often though, one of them evidently scripted. First there is the Sludge Belcher. This is a card you'll pretty simply just have to dispose of, you can use Hunters MarkLeeroy Jenkins (He will not get the Whelps when his field is filled), or whatever fits your needs. Beware of taking the damage to the face though, since you will mostly not take care of her minions and take quite some damage already.

Then, she will also play a Sea Giant if she's able to. This following part is one I'm still not 100% sure about, bu the two times I've ran into the situation Maexxna actually did not hestitate to run in Sea Giant first, even if you have a trap. So aside from saving a Hunters Mark and straight up removing it another option is to let it run into a Misdirection. Whatever it hits, you will have been saved from 8 points of damage. If the Giant hits Maexxna you just about win there, if your previous turns went in any way well the damage should be enough!

With all this said, bad draws or Animal Companion RNG will give you an increasingly harder and harder time winning this fight. You can never be sure what exactly Maexxna will do, the only thing you know is she will use her hero ability at the start of each turn. Thus, a deck like this is generally the best strategy to be the victor in the battle against Maexxna! Alrighty guys, video of how this deck works against Maexxna is up and running!
