RetroRobust's Budget Tempo Mage Deck

This is a good mage deck for F2P players and players who can't spend that much looking for a decent deck whether it's for ranked or not. I hit ranked 16 and close to 15 with this deck. It has good spells you can use for removal or face damage and cards like Mana Wyrm and Red Mana Wyrm are really good since you can keep pressure on your opponents face. Quick wins are possible with cards like Mana Wyrm to deal some damage and finishing your opponent off with Fireball. You can get some really good late game with Red Mana Wyrm, Water Elemental, and board control with Flamestrike when needed. Card such as Acolyte of Pain, Loot Hoarder, Azure Drake, and Arcane Intellect make sure hand count is always up.

If you struggle with board control you could replace both Red Mana Wyrms with two Faceless Summoners.

Since Azure Drake and Spellslinger are going to wild when Journey to Un'goro comes out, I will have to update the deck.

Mulligan Guide

Cards such as Mana Wyrm, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Cult Sorcerer, and Arcane Missiles are good to keep since you can pull off some early game combos and keep tempo with Mana Wyrm.

Acolyte of Pain and Loot Hoarder are good as well since it helps you keep cards in hand and early board control.

You should also try to keep a balance between minions and spells. Red Mana Wyrm and Water Elemental are good for some body but only if you have early drop spells/minions too.

Arcane Intellect is also a good keep because it gives you more options. It combos well with Mana Wyrm and Sorcerer's Apprentice. If you don't have any early 1 or 2 cost minions then I suggest you mulligan Arcane Intellect.

You should also mulligan 7 Cost spells since they won't be any use that early and you will be drawing them late game anyway since the deck has cards like Arcane Intellect, Azure Drake, Loot Hoarder, and Acolyte of Pain to help anyway.
