ABOUT ME
I'm a multi-time Legend player and a 2800+ Gladiator Holy Paladin in WoW. Recently returned (in January) to Hearthstone after a giant break (about 2 years I think, stopped a bit after BrM was released and patron warrior was destroying everybody). I'll be streaming a lot of Hearthstone, Wow, and other card games such as Faeria and TES:L so if you're interested in that, check my stream out at http://twitch.tv/synpoo

GENERAL TIPS
- Dragon warrior is basically the definition of "curvestone". Focus on using mana efficiently.
- Faerie Dragon is primarily in the deck as a low-cost activator, try to avoid playing it on curve unless you really need the pressure.
- Against aggro decks you should be aiming to clear the board instead of developing and focus on starving them of resources. You can out value them easily.
MULLIGAN/MATCHUP GUIDE
GENERAL
Fiery War Axe, N'Zoth's First Mate, Sir Finley Mrrgglton. Alexstrasza's Champion are always instant keeps. Keep Southsea Deckhand if you have no 1-drop (NFM), and keep Twilight Guardian when on the coin or if you have a good curve (2 and 3 drop in hand). If you have two Alexstrasza's Champion in hand, keep a dragon as well. Keep one 3-drop off the coin, keep two on the coin.
About Sir Finley Mrrgglton:
Mage/Hunter > Druid > Everything else
Warlock depends, most of the time you shouldn't take it against aggro decks, it's almost always the pick against control though.
DRUID
Favoured: Look to keep a 3-drop, either Frothing Berserker or a Fierce Monkey, even Ravaging Ghoul works well against turn 1 Living Roots if you don't have the NFM to counter it. Look to out-tempo them and keep jamming minions onto the board and force them to keep removing minions. Look for valuable trades but when their jades start ramping really high you have to go face, you'll never win the value war late-game against druid. Holding a weapon charge to get through Ancient of War with Execute is very important here.
RENOMAGE
Favoured: They aren't able to deal with the constant amount of threats coming out of your hand. Keep flooding the board while playing around key AoE like Volcanic Potion. Setup a post-reno board, and you should be able to win very easily even after Reno Jackson hits. Drakonid Crusher is MVP here for baiting removal in preparation Ragnaros the Firelord. Go face a lot.
Didn't play a single tempo mage so I can't give tips against that.
PRIEST
Slightly Unfavoured: Pretty hard to out value them. Play around Kabal Talonpriest in the early game and Dragonfire Potion as best as possible. Hit face a lot when it gets to the mid-late game.
ROGUE
Slightly Favoured: Decent matchup for us as rogue runs little taunts (occasionally 1 Defender of Argus) and no heal. Play around Backstab and look to use Execute on a big Edwin VanCleef. Miracle feels a bit harder than Aggro rogue does just because Sap becomes a problem, and we have no way of interacting with Conceal.
SHAMAN
Favoured: Keep a 3 drop and look to coin it on turn 2 to play around Jade Lightning. Maelstrom Portal is ineffective against our minions most of the time so be wary of getting blown out by Lightning Storm. Flood the board after they used one AoE. Blackwing Corruptor is a valuable card for dealing with Flametongue Totem protected by taunts.
RENOLOCK
Favoured: The only effective AoE in the early-mid game they have is Shadowflame, Hellfire / Abyssal Enforcer and Demonwrath don't deal with our mid-game threats. Play around Shadowflame as much as possible while setting up lethal and activating your Drakonid Crusher.
WARRIOR
Favoured: Ravaging Ghoul absolutely crushes pirate warrior. A lot of the time it's correct to hold your 1-drop pirate to clear their 1 health pirates with ghoul instead. Remove pirates at all cost and then stabilize behind a wall of taunts; they'll never get through the plethora of taunt minions in this deck.
ENJOY! <3
If you want to go on a five-game losing streak, try this deck
what did you expect playing the second worst warrior deck after control warrior in current meta ?
Pirate and Water are the best options and this is not a secret..
Haven't lost to another warrior deck yet playing with this deck at rank 4-5.
This deck offers a lot of nice options versus common meta decks right now. Personally, I've found my worst matchup to be Reno decks with strong removal/healing, but that makes sense.
Another bullshit deck. Winrate of 30% on rank 20. Midrange, Aggro, Reno and Dragon Priests are crushing this crap very easily.
This deck is fantastic. It's easy to bait someone into thinking you're playing pirate warrior and then start dropping dragon threats which they aren't expecting. I'm trying this deck with one less Execute in favor of one Brawl and have found that helps deal with a flood of mid-late(ish) game minions from dragon priest or jade druid. It's won me a few extra games!
Currently 12-3 with this deck! Thanks for sharing it.
I've thought about teching in a Brawl for that reason, but in theory it would be too slow. However, if it's working for you then that's great news :)
It's another pirate warrior.
Certainly a good deck. But I'm completely unlucky. I played about 100 games on it and jump from 2 to 5 and back. Yesterday morning with 90% WR reached 2 ranks, in the evening lost 14 games in a row. At the same time in each game I could win but I just did not get the right cards.
Maybe you should stop playing in the evening then. I've noticed that there are different match-ups based on the time of the day you are playing. For me it is like more slow decks in the morning and more aggro decks in the evening.
This is my first post on Hearthpwn, and you have earned it Synpoozy. What I love about this deck is that they think in the beginning you are playing a pirate deck, so they quickly burn all their cards trying to clear your weak starting creatures, but then you drop some 9/9 and they just stare at it forever going, "Well wtf do I do now."
got legend today with this deck on wild and stantard from rank 4 both, you're a genius thank you !
Did you run the exact list on wild as well? I've teched in a Death's Bite but it's not performing as well as I thought it would. :/ Legend in both formats in a day though, that's pretty insane, nice :)
man i still dont know if crafting DWing is worth or not :( the struggle is real! i hate jades and the priests swarming the board...
Hey thanks for the quick reply!
im sitting on 11k dust (duplicates) and got rag and sylvanas for HoF... so that wouldnt have been the issue.
But i guess i will wait as you say..
thanks :)
Great Deck!!!
Great to hear, let me know how high you're able to climb the ladder with it! :)
replacement for finely?
Another Southsea Deckhand would be good as another 1-drop
I'm not sure why all the negative comments.. Any deck has bad draws that's why they call it RNG right..
Here's my numbers with this deck along side of a Pirate deck. Less time play and better stats..
Not sure why picture isn't working but, here is the link instead "My Deck Stats"
That's less time played with 51 games and that' a pretty damn good win ratio. I was over 80% for a while before the crap RNG kicked my ass. I've also played this on WILD ladder and climbed to rank 6 and that's just me screwing around changing pace.
I'm not going to say this deck is bad in any form. I feel I've had better success with this deck then regular pirate warrior. I feel the taunts are good defense against the aggro decks. Frothing is just insane when used correctly. So to the people who are complaining about it I disagree maybe you're just playing the deck wrong or just have bad RNG gods.
For me It's done very well and I wouldn't bash it even if I was at 60% win rate that would still be good. Don't judge a deck without playing it a little more. Play 50-60 games then talk about it. Don't play 5 games and be like oh well I lost F this deck.
To synpoo Great deck man. Looking forward to watching your stream. Thanks for the deck..
Thanks for the kind words, and great stats. 60% winrate is actually quite good at rank 5+. I'll be streaming on Tuesday starting at 12pm PST so hopefully you'll be able to drop by :)
