Thinking I got this perfected pretty well
Go face don't worry about health.
[card]Cabalist's Tome[/card]mostly with either [card]Violet Illusionist[/card] or [card]Animated Armor [/card].
Subs:
Spellslinger <-risky
Possibly Questing Adventurer
Video below of someone playing it (Wouldn't let me embed the video for some reason), I recommend being a bit more aggressive though on turn 2 if you went first or if you went second and don't have Violet Illusionist against a mage since they will most likely either be playing this deck or something very similar and if they have the illusionist and the health they can unload all their spells.
KadakHS
Violet Illusionist no longer works in the latest Tavern, keep that in mind.
Turn 3 win first try 😄👍🏻
Still works :)
Turn 3 win in 2021. Opponent took themselves down to 26 on turn 2, i had 2 Pyroblasts, a Fireball, and Violet Illusionist
bink
GAME 2 OUSAHFOUSDHFOFUISDH:
My opponent put like 15 spells into me, drawing cards for BOTH OF US and just themself. I had pyroblast sitting in hand, as my health widdles down along with theirs i'm like "huh, do they have it?" they get themself and I down to 8 and 5 respectively. They end their turn, i throw out violet illusionist... bink.
Nice deck! I have been playing a slightly modified version of this deck and it has been fun! Potion of Polymorph is my tech card that has been really useful. It can deny charge from OTK paladin (in some cases) or your opponent's Violet Illusionist if played at the right moment.
I think it's to slow because often times if you don't have violet illusionist and a bunch of spells on turn 2 playing second you most likely lose. Or if you play first you usually have to use your spells to get them low enough to prevent them from using their illusionist and going face
If your going to play barnes you have to take out every minion except [card]Violet Illusionist[/card] and [card]Animated Armor[/card]
Pyroblast seems a little awkward.
It's one of the best spells in the deck, its to finish them off or to use in conjunction with other spells to get them so low they can't cast any spells of their own
I love your deck! I made a few changes here since I don't have some of your cards: Cabalist's Tome x2, Pyroblast x1, Bloodmage Thalnos x1
I exchanged them with: Kobold Geomancer x2, Coldlight Oracle x1, and Soot Spewer x1.
I also trade Ice Block for another card too. I won 3 consecutives wins with just 1 lose in my first game (versus another mage)!
I also encountered an aggro pirate Paladin! He almost won with buffing Patches the Pirate in turn 1 but he left me with 4 health. Since you exchange your life whenever you cast a spell, he only got 2 health. I got a chance to cast a Forgotten Torch on him! :D
Here's the full video:
Loving the enthusiasm :-)
I still find IB useful but only run 1... if the opponent is down to 1hp or they don't kill my illusionist and go for the kill, I can potentially still kill them next turn with hero power, VI, or some 1 mana spells
Yeah - found this out the hard way. Anyway, this deck got me the weekly pack plus worked toward finishing off a five-win Shaman/Mage quest I'd left to languish.
Woot!
Hey guys! I used this deck and everything worked like it should, easy wins for me
Only one change - 1x Cabalist tome + Finley cuz I dont have the second tome.
I recored the games so check it out! Hope you enjoy it =)
im glad you liked the deck, works better though being more aggresivexpensive because even if you use Pyro early you may be low bit so are they key is to only use it if you can get them to less than 5 and keep yourself above 10 or so. They also have to use life to play ther spells and they can't if they get to around 5 in most cases
that is funny, although very risky
lol nice
BROKEN!
Nice deck. I won on turn 2 after whacking myself down to 1 health:
Turn 1: Mana Wyrm
Turn 2: Cabalist's Tome -> Arcane Intellect -> Arcane Intellect -> Fireball -> Pyroblast -> Wyrm to face -> Hero power to face
