Thanks for the support, suggestions and comments. They are ALL welcomed and appreciated. Good luck and happy silencing!
Special shout out to Dragonatorx10 for the video
This is my effective version of a Silence Priest. Please feel free to comment if you have a similar deck and what works for you. This deck is incredibly fun to play. This deck is currently kicking the meta's ass. Try it and tell me your experiences and screenshots of massive OTK's. Thanks everyone for the upvotes and response. FRONT PAGE!! Thanks for the comments and feedback on the deck and for making it possible. I'll continue to monitor additions and substitution techs. Thanks again! 2/11/17
Latest -1x Holy Nova +1x Priest of the Feast
SUBS
Feel free to substitute an Sunfury Protector, or Fel Orc Soulfiend, for the AOE of your choosing. I've personally been unable to have them work successfully consistently. This deck lives and dies by your early mulligan/draws. Good luck!
Tips
First off this deck will take a few games of practice to figure out the do's and dont's.
Try and keep lower cost minions in your opening hand IE Northshire Cleric, Ancient Watcher, Kabal Talonpriest, and Acolyte of Pain. Can't stress this enough. Mulligan is the most important piece to this deck. Don't get stuck with all your spells in your opening hand, it just makes it harder to gain control of the board.
*Don't be afraid to play Sunfury Protector, or Kabal Talonpriest, on an empty board just so you don't lose too much board control, since we strive for early minions in this deck *
Idea is to have minions out on the board to buff quick before your opponent takes over the board.
It's ok to keep a silence in your hand if you already have Ancient Watcher, Fel Orc Soulfiend, or Eerie Statue
Don't make the mistake of buffing Ancient Watcher, or Eerie Statue, until you silence them or unless you just plan to throw Sunfury Protector on one to prevent aggro.
Buff a minion real big then copy with Faceless Shambler, or Faceless Manipulator.
Addition to the deck that usually makes opponent concede is
Opponents pluck away at a big minion only to have you fully heal it. Just had a Jade Druid burn two spells and two minions to bring a taunt down to 3 HP then fully healed it next turn. That hurt. 2/7/17 *
Hozen Healer, can't say enough good things about this card so far. He just won me two games vs a Jade and Aggro Shaman by healing big taunts after they wasted all their resources bringing it's health down.
Good luck and happy climbing!
What would you include in a wild version of this deck from Un'Goro?
Have you considered Barnes in the deck ?
This deck is super fun - thanks for making it! I am currently rank 4 (1 win from 3) using this deck from 17 on.
My additions: -1 Acolyte of Pain -Priest of Feast, +1 Hozen, +1 Power Word: Tentacles.
Thinking:
I like the additions and will be testing it myself. Thanks man! Good luck on your climb!
Have you tried adding Icehowl in the deck? It probably makes the deck weaker, but I've found it to be a fun addition.
I personnaly would add "The Beast" in this
I ran into 3 of these at Rank 3 and couldn't figure out wtf was going on...
Cheers?!
Such a fun deck. I had trouble with this deck for a while, but after I stopped trying to autopilot my decisions and actually thought about what I was doing I started winning way more. Thanks for the sick deck
I got sucked into doing heroic tavern brawl... 7-3 with a variation of this deck. Main difference from my below version is I subbed out priest of the fiest and a swp for 2 mana geodes. They did great work drawing fire and even spawned a few Crystal babies. 4 in a shaman game where they played a major role.
I also took this to HTB.
6-3, -1 fel orc (didnt have, didnt feel like crafting - in hindsight, probably worth it for the solid 3 drop) -1 acolyte, +1 defender of argus +1 holy nova (anticipated more aggro than i actually faced).
i feel like 6-3 vastly exceeded my expectations as i'm a pretty bad player, but this deck caught many opponents completely off guard. as many as 3 games were practically stolen from my opponent when they opted to push face for a demoralizing early lethal instead of clearing, confidently hiding behind an easily silencable taunt with health buffs and inner fire in my hand. Conversely, if you come across a silence priest, never, ever let him keep a board.
My matchups were Jade Druid (W), Dragon Priest (W), Dragon Priest (L), Dragon Priest (W), Jade Shaman (W), Jade Shaman (W), Water Rogue (L), Pirate Warrior (W), Renolock (L).
if i would take it again I might craft fel orc and replace my subbed DoA for it. most importantly, it was incredibly fun to play and rewarding when you you manage to buff a sunfury protector to 26/26 to snatch a game from a BMing Jade shaman with a full board. This and similar situations happened more than once during the brawl.
Stoked about your success! Good run, keep it up!
