This is Version 1.0 of Kripparian's Gadgetzan OTK combo priest.
Tank till you get Spawn of Shadows, Garrison Commander and Raza, with as many hero power refreshes (Finley, Shadowform) as you need to kill. Spawn plus 0 cost hero power does the work.
Strong vs. most of the popular ladder decks (Dec. 2016) - hard aggro, super slow control, etc
Weak vs Control warrior (too much armor to OTK), freeze mage.
Hi, i really love this deck but i don t really have the dragons. would it work with n zoth and deathrattle minions instead of dragons?
From rank 12** to rank 7* on Wild Ladder with a WR of 70+, I've played my own Deathrattle version of Kripp's decklist.
Very Effective and tones of Fun.
I do not know if it's viable in Standard because you will miss Deathlord and Sludge Belcher who helps a lot, but you can find inspiration. Nota Bene: you can remove brann for something else (i.e. a drawer : Acolyte of Pain or Bloodmage Thalnos) as there is not so much Battlecry effect to copy.
Thank you very much but is chillmaw that good in this deck?you have only two dragons and if i n zoth then chillmaw will aoe my minions.
Chillmaw is really good in this deck because most of the time you want to buy... time so you can be able to assemble the full combo. It's a huge taunt. The fact that you have only two dragons is a plus: your opponent does'nt know about that and will most of the time trade in the wrong way.
This guy same my ass a lot of time.
Second good point, the deck include N'Zoth who unable to raise Chillmaw from the dead.
I see your point thanks!
This is the only priest deck worth playing right now. In fact, this is the only deck worth playing in the entire game, until Blizzard fixes it.
If you really want to play this deck, Kazakus for sure.
I've replaced Bloodmage Thalnos with Coldlight Oracle, seems to work
Those feels when you discover a Coldarra on turn 3 but have to wait.
I'm using Justicar Trueheart as a replace of Wrathion since I don't have him. She just saved me from dying before I could pull the combo :D
I'm actually using Second-Rate Bruiser. it's great against aggro, and isn't a bad drop by itself.
A note to this OTK, unlike most other OTK is that you MUST have some life left to use the combo. The combo does a maximum 32 damage but to do that much damage, your own life must not be too low
There's some random variability to how much damage you can do depending on which Sir Finely Hero Power you pick.
Damage 32 - Hunter [Min Starting Health 21]
Damage 30 - Mage [Min Starting Health 21]
Damage 30 (If no Taunt)/28 (If Taunt) - Druid [Min Starting Health 19]
Damage 28 - Warrior, Priest [Min Starting Health 17]
Damage 28 - Shaman, Paladin, Rogue Mostly neutral [Min Starting health 21]
Damage 28 - Warlock - Never pick this obviously unless you are fishing for that final Shadow Power and have life to spare [Min Staring Health 25]
The above minimum starting life total assumes no Justicar Trueheart, if you already have justicar then you can subtract 4 from Min Starting Health)
The trouble is you don't really know until you roll Sir Finely, so do leave some buffer for min life and max damage.
Lost to this deck last night lol I was mindblown when he pulled the combo. I had him at 2HP early in the game but didn't have lethal... He popped Reno and later in the game he pulls this move I couldn't believe it hahaha
Turns out the average Kripp deck isn't that good. Sorry that you "wasted" the dust for it.
i'm by no means a Kripp fanboy.. he is usually the streamer whose advice I don't take since he is really only an arena player and when put up against competitive people he tends to lose
THAT BEING SAID, this deck is good. I didn't even look it up until i lost to it and i found out kripp took the idea from somebody and made it into a deck( the dude on reddit just came up with the concept kripp made the deck).
I've taken it from 16->6 in 3 days.Aand ya I don't normally have the combo until the bottom 7-4 card on average. but its key to play some cards early, like The Curator who straight up Draws you one of your combo pieces for you. or using Kabal Courier or the scarab to get some draw. the only decks that are "bad" realistic meta match ups are reno mage and jade druid(40%wr). Some tough matchups are Dragon warrior(NEVER runs out of burn, and kills your best aoe) and miracle rogue. But i have win rates in the 90% against Pirate warrior, Jade shamen, and renolock.. ESPECIALLY renolock who I have lost maybe twice out of a lot.
Note: I wouldn't pay Wration in this deck even if i did have him. I have Second-Rate Bruiser who is leaps and bounds better in 90% of the match ups.
Is it worth crafting Wrathion and Chillmaw for this deck?
If you have extra dust and have all major cards, then, YES. If you don't have other cards, then no.
I went ahead and crafted other cards. Will replace Wrathion and Chillmaw with some AOE/draw. Wrathion usually just draws 1 card. Even for Kripp it drew 1 card for like 20+ time straight. Not worth it. Chillmaw is Chillmaw. Everyone wants it, but nobody wants to craft it. It's a good card, but it'll be rotated out in coming months. It basically there as Taunt along with board clear. I replaced it with Justicar Trueheart. Keep my health enough.
Today I got a Coldarra Drake with the Kabal Courrier... Lots of fun!
I really like this deck, upvoted
Yesterday I got a Coldarra Drake, Raza the Chained had already been played and I had Spawn of Shadows in hand.
I didn't notice I had won and just used the drake to full heal myself.
This deck is very strong, but I have hard times vs Dragon priest and some Jade decks.
I've put the Justicar Trueheart instead of Wrathion and I find it greatly improves survival. And Wrathion might not be that useful since it's sometimes hard to handle too many cards and not mill self (and lose one of the cards of the combo).
