Before anyone starts bashing me for not using a reno priest deck, I want to point out that while the highlander playstyle is fun, I feel that having no duplicates hurts priest a lot. I created this deck to be more competitvely viable against faster decks like Pirate Warrior. When playing reno priest, I found that it was extremely hard to win against most aggro decks. Even after playing reno, I would still lose if they can recover their board state. Having duplicates of cards like Potion of Madness really helps with controlling the board. I will write up a full guide for this deck soon.
I want to believe in control priest. So I came up with this deck while trying to make yours more fun to play
Where is dragon potion hahaaha
What do you think about this deck?
I'm still working on it, but I really like having the option to resurrect Priest of the Feast. Also the Arcane Giants give you some late game pressure. Let me know what you think.
Also, I don't really like northshire cleric anymore
Edit: Auchenai + Justicar and Darkshire Alchemist give quite a lot of direct damage, which is very versatile
It's a playable 2 drop for non dragon priest that isn't museum curator primarily
I agree that reno decks are bit overrated. Normal control is good because it s more consistent
I wouldn't consider them overrated at all, I just feel they're weaker in Priest than in Mage or Warlock. The power level of individual cards isn't there. Priest thrives on card combinations (pint-size potion/cabal shadow priest, circle/soulpriest, etc). There's no Twisting Nether, no super efficient removal like Fireball/Firelands. The individual power just isn't there.
Savjz hit rank 1 legend with reno priest.
I know he did. But he also did it very early, before the true meta has come into fruition, he's also a professional level player (better than the vast majority), and the majority of players don't invest enough money into this game to have every card they want to play the most optimal lists. I'm not saying Reno Priest is bad, I've been playing Reno Warlock since Reno came out (all the way to golden warlock, actually), Reno is my favorite card they've made thus far. But that doesn't make what I said any less accurate.
Wow this deck sucks. No kazakus or raza the chained? Downvoted.
