Videos featuring the deck: (not optimal play)
What is the mulligan strategy with this decklist ?
I think it is :
Only keep : N'Zoth's First Mate, Fiery war axe, Small-time bucanner
But i'm not sure
Can anyone confirm ?
Most of the time yes you want to keep those 3 cards.
Vs Mirror you want to keep an ooze and vs most mid range/control you want to keep Sir Finley Mrrgglton as you'll just run out of steam if you don't get life tap if they any sort of taunts/board clears.
Still good deck... I'm like 90% after 15 games today...
Way too many people playing counters to this deck now. Was good in the first few days but I feel like it's past it's 10 minutes of fame.
People who want to replace Patches, I'm guessing execute just for the high taunt removal is a valuable option.. Patches does have a lot of synergy, contrary to what people are saying.
Yeah, the deck doesn't require skill to play, but I consider it fun and fast way to climb some early ranks.. And considering I have only crafted leeroy for this, it's super cheap as well.
Also, looses to jade deck without a good curve..
Is there some kind of Leeroy replacement? I still plan to craft him, but I'm not sure I'd have the patience for him AND Patches seeing that it took a solid month of playing to craft N'zoth.
Reckless Rocketeer is the closest replacement for Leeroy.
Is Argent Commander also ok? Or is the divine shield meaningless?
Reckless Rocketeer is better because you deal 1 more damage
Can someone explain me why someone should play this deck?
As a lot mentioned it's not fun to play and you don't need skill or an understanding of the game to play it. On the opponents side it's not fun to play against this deck. I usually play Jade shaman at the moment (with alot of taunts thx to pirate warrior). I can win around 50% of the time against this warrior with the only wincondition drawing Maelstrom Portal and some kind of taunt early in the game.
If the pirat warrior would have a high win percentage I would say it's just a strong face deck (as face-hunter or face-druid) but since almost everyone adapted their decks to stand against this deck (plus there is no point to win mirror matches more often than 50% of the time) I only see two point in this deck: to make other players quit the game and to have a chance to win against superior opponents. Why? Because:
It's not fun to play and win percentage is too low to reach legend (without luck).
It's basically a total random deck. No one is able to improve their rankings, everyone is enraged, let's quit playing for fun, play for anarchy.
I replaced Finley and the 1/1 pirate for two dreads...idk if it's a good move but i guess since i have the expansion and the dust...ehhhh
It f%#ks my mind, seriously! Patches the Pirate has no value, no synergy. Yes, it has a little fun, but nothing else :/ I replaced it with Hobart Grapplehammer.
Thinning a deck by one card when you're playing aggro and hope to finish your opponent by turn 6 hardly matters. Patches is all about that tempo.
Do I reaaally need Patches? I don't wanna craft a 1/1 legendary :(
Im thinking the same thing as well, since this decks requires 0 skills to play.
i keep meeting pirate warrior in ladder as well
maybe its time to try this cancer deck lololol
nope, go for buff Taunt warrior much better )
First I wanted to report your comment for offending that poor little pirate!
It's the legendary of your life!
This deck makes me want to quit this game.
well, making others wanna quit the game is the actual point of this game, now, you don't really need to play this deck though, you can still play a slow deck and make tards wanna commit suicide.
LOOKING for Finley replacement :)
