Hi Hearthstoners! :) Now this is a deck iv'e been experimenting with for a while and is by no means perfect or top tier so don't expect to walk into legend with it, it takes a fair bit of paining and piloting around the current meta. Iv'e had some great wins and some crushing defeats but it's a fun deck in my opinion.
Now i would like some advice, input and ideas for this deck as this is my current deck of choice grinding my golden Druid!
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE UPVOTES!,
AND HERE ARE SOME GAMEPLAY VIDS!
if you are returning be sure to check out the tech changes:
- Huge Toad
+ Harvest Golem
- Power of the Wild
+ Wild Pyromancer
- Mire Keeper
+ Starfall
- MC Tech
+ Feral Rage
Credit to: A_Game_in_all_of_Us for the changes! <3
So let's get started!
The idea of this deck is not to ramp although ramp is a good idea it's not the purpose of this build. So no Mire keeper and 1 wild growth only. You need your small minions (Harvest golem, Mounted raptor and Doomsayer) early for efficient trades and keeping the board under control as you phase into mid game. Doomsayer is best used to slow down aggro or to clear board later for N'zoth play. Ooze is my choice instead of Harrison as i feel this deck doesn't run dry of cards in hand and the Ooze provides much-needed relief against Shaman and Hunter early game.
The inclusion of Reno allows you to take a bit more damage and hold back on clears for optimal use instead of last resorts. Elise is for fatigue and your 2nd win condition turning late game dead cards such as Wild growth, Nourish and Loot Hoarders into possible and playable threats.
Fandral has few synergies in this deck but provides some value with Wrath and Raven Idol to keep your hand full. Also, people tend to think it's ramp druid or beast druid and see Fandral as a big threat and baits out removal leaving your next turn Emperor/Cairn/Salvanas/Rag in a much safer position.
Mulch and Barnes may be included if you feel that's more your play style not sure what you are going to remove tho.
Yogg I think is a no as N'zoth/Golden monkey is more than enough win condition.
Arcane Giant - Late game cheap high-value minion! also used to bait out the last removals before a N'zoth board fill.
Thalnos + Swipe Clears most boards don't play him by himself the card draw is not that important compared to the spell damage you might need later.
Hope this helps :)
What abou Baron Geddon in this deck?
Fun to play, but weak against both aggro and control decks.
Weak aoe, weak healing, few taunts, slow tempo; heavily reliant on drawing Reno early game against aggro.
Against control, the minions on the deck are dead giveaway for incoming Nzoth, rendering it less powerful. In addition, against control warriors/priests/paladins you simply don't have enough heals to win by fatigue. You rely heavily on drawing Golden Monkey rather early. Even then it is hard to get to that stage against control decks because the deck is also weak on control, which is a natural trait of a Druid.
I was trying to make this deck more defensive type and now add + synergy with Barnes (5 useless\ 12 really good minions he can bring, mb it's good enough). + extra finisher against control deck - Ysera. Feels pretty fine, but need more tests.
Replacement for Cairne Bloodhoof? I have all the other cards
Chillmaw
Oooohhh..., I don't have that card either. Do you think Barnes could work?
Not sure. Cairne Bloodhoof is one of the core cards of this deck. You want massive deathrattle to resummon it by n'zoth. Maybe you can try Twilight Summoner or even Abomination for extra aoe\taunt against aggro (but it's quiet risky to resummon it with n'zoth). It could be even both of them as they have some synergy.
I've played quite few games with this deck now but struggle to keep board control. Once the board is lost there seems to be nearly no way to get it back. More removal would make sense in this deck.
I have a deck that is a lot like this but has a few tweaks. Namely it has a jungle moonkin, an azure drake, chillmaw and a corrupted seer with the curator. As well as a naturalize and mulch. It also has the reno Elise nzoth package with sylvanus and cairne
Arcane Giant seems wasted in a deck with only 10 spells. Wouldn't Mountain Giant be better?
This deck is one spicy-a-meatball! I will play it when I have the chance, always like a wacky Reno Jackson deck :D
wow what a garbage deck, the only prayer you'd have with this deck is if you swapped reno for another doomsayer
bad deck, i have tries at rank 10, and this time my rank down to 13
go play shaman the :)
yeah, good luck and still rank 10!
I'm digging the deck. It was weird, I had a mage who managed to get the Staff to summon creatures based on spells, AND one of the summons was a Summoning Stone. I pulled a Reno, then the Arcane Giant, and just managed to keep my head above water. They managed to get an Archmage summoned and I thought that was it: but they conceded.
If they were a better player I would have lost, easy. Still a fun deck.
Not a great deck - lost to most every class / combo (rez priest, etc.)
Thx for the deck. It'll be interesting to test it. Looks strong)
There is a few cards i didn't expect from this deck:
1) Emperor Thaurissan - Looks like there is no strong combo or otk in this deck, so i not quiet sure it's so good here (but i'll play with him to be sure. Mb I'm absolutely wrong)... Feels like i can replace it by +1 taunt (mb Sunwalker or Psych-o-Tron)\ + aoe (Corrupted Seer) or even +2-nd n'zoth\ + 2-nd reno (Youthful Brewmaster). I think any of this can be a nice replacement.
2) Arcane Giant - it doesn't seems like it fits so well also. Yes, I have 10 spells + mb coin + spell from idol. But it's not too much. It might be Ysera instead for +win condition or Soggoth the Slitherer as another taunt really hard to deal with.
Thanks for the input :)
you made some good points i will test them and come back with some data
Any replacement for Fandral Staghelm and Cairne Bloodhoof?
