With the start of the new year of Mammoth "inspired" standart deck probably will be not viable, so i just switch a theme of the deck to something like "Wild N'zoth Reno Quest Priest".
UPDATED: + Nexus-Champion Saraad +Excavated Evil
Saraad is pretty valuable card especially with 0-cost hero power. Just drop it on a table where are no good trades for your opponent or if you have a defender (any taunt probably).
Excavated evil is really good in many matchups, and it's also yours cheapest AoE (didn't include Kazakus' spells ofc). Don't forget to not use if it not REALLY necessary in a very grindy matchups (Reno mage, mirror, some kind of Control Warriors, etc.)
I'm definitely gonna try this deck out again. Seems kinda heavy on the 5 drops, might drop Harrison for an Ooze.
Also, I ripped an Auctionmaster Beardo from a pack. Seems like it would work okay in this deck somewhere. Not sure what I would sub for it.
Also also, what do you mulligan for?
hey! of course mulligan depends on which class you playing against. versus aggro you need early game/removals/heal. Versus control decks you might prefer more value cards, like thoughtsteal/shade. If i have a reno in starting hand most of the time i keep him, may be only class you don't want to keep reno is Warlock, cause nowadays 99% warlocks are renolocks.
Auctionmaster Beardo is defenetely not for this type of deck.
I've been playing the deck to some success. Only decks I've been losing to are Reno Mage and Miracle Rogue. 13-5 so far.
Since you have THREE cards in your deck that require you to have drawn shadowform, I find it's much better to do an insanely aggressive mulligan for shadowform, because if you don't draw it but you do draw your non-duplicate cards you are a bit screwed.
Cant wait to try this out with Gadgetzan, my only question to those who use shadow priest decks when is the best time to use shadow form, is it good to get it out as soon as possible, turn 3 or even 2 with coin? or to wait till the late game.
All depends on which deck you against. Versus face/hyperaggro decks you might not use SF until lategame, when you stabilized, but if u keep activated reno in hand and opponent didn't have very strong board of course you can play SF and try to control board early with it. Against control/combo decks very often you should use SF asap (if you do't have any better plays ofc).
Do Kazakus and Raza the Chained trigger play two Shadowform? The wording is different from Reno so I don't know.
I think it's the same, just another wording
Add a Kabal Courier because you might get a Coldarra Drake out of it.
True, added!
This deck is good. I can't wait to play it with kazakus and dragonfire potion.
Half the Barnes minions are dead draws.
Yeah, true, but it's still 3/4+1/1 for 4 mana, and if you win that 50/50 chance then you have big profit for your N'Zoth later and deathrattle right now that gives you more tempo/more value
Holy shit this deck. I think the is the Bed Brode Unicorn Priest we were looking for. This deck somehow managed me a win against a control hunter, beast Druid, and a wild game against my buddy with an old tempo mage deck. Not to mention the win against a c'thun priest, control warrior, and n'zoth pally. And I'll say that mass dispel is a fantastic card for this. While I haven't played against any shamans, it helped me win against the hunter and almost secured a win against a patron warrior. And garrison commander is fantastic with this. I was skeptic at first, but the insane value of dealing 2 damage twice is amazing. For the still skeptic, my reccomendation is to shadow form late, because early game healing is needed. Once you have stabilized and if you have Reno then I'd say go for it and do it. I can say that Reno has saved me a few times, and that'd you have the removal to stay alive, get as greedy as possible. Especially if you're in shadow form. Otherwise, try out the deck if you've got the cards, and try it against your friends first before you bring it onto ladder. It's a strange deck, but it works like a charm.
Well this deck should be strong against control decks in general
Super fun deck! I've been trying to find/make a new Reno/Shadowform deck ever since standard mode hit (RIP Lightbomb&Tournament Medic) and this definitely hits the spot. Mass Dispel is an incredible card, watching rogues go all out to make a super big Edwin or Questing Adventurer and having that card in hand is very satisfying xD
So far, this deck is amazmaballz!
5-0 on ladder.
The only thing I changed was Harrison Jones for the 2 drop weapon popper. Worked fine.
As a priest sometimes you just heropower and pass, even at later stages of the game, so, first, mass dispel draws you a card.
Second, now in meta so much hunters and shamans (n'zoth decks in other classes exist too), and vs shamans is so op cause of totems with 3/6 body that buffs them, versus hunters is also good, because they can have highmanes, wolves 3/3 and other deathrattle stuff.
As a Reno control deck we want value, so mass dispel has much more value, that a cheaper one. Of course it's only my opinion, and i'd like to use mass dispel here :)
Gonna try this, I liked the idea. Let ya know my results later!
Yeah, waiting for your feedback, man :)
