Hi everybody,

this is senti with another deck release.

When I saw the preview of Anub'ar Ambusher, I instantly knew that the MalyRogue had the perfect slot for it. Why? Because it's more Midrange than Miracle Rogue but still doesn't use too many minions that could be counterproductive towards the drawback of Anub'ar Ambusher. The 3-drops on the other hand are happily brought back to your hand to get extra value of their Battlecries. Furthermore it fills the otherwise empty 4-slot and dramatically threatens the opponent on turn 4, giving you more time to set up Gadgetzan Auctioneer plays. In 99% of all cases opponents kill the Battlecry minion first, to not let you summon it again. Therefore in 99% of all cases it is a 5/5 for (4). Occoasionally you can even use the Deathrattle intentionally.

I decided to remove Big Game Hunter and Assassin's Blade from Firebat/AtaK's originial version to add two Anub'ar Ambushers.

Let me know, if you like it!

Update 07/24/2014

I started testing the deck and the Anub'ar Ambusher seems to be very strong. Didn't have much problems so far, especially not against Zoo and Token Druid. Of course a lot more testing is still needed and the meta will dramatically change over the next weeks, when more Naxxramas cards are released. Just wanted to give a brief update.

Update 09/12/2014

With the upcoming Leeroy Jenkins nerf as of 09/22/2014, this deck might have a big comeback. With the also upcoming Starving Buzzard change Hunter won't be as explosive anymore. Thus I think Zoo and Control will make a comeback to counter the current Midrange meta (especially Priests). This deck is strong against both.
Less Hunters also means less weapons in the meta. Assassin's Blade might therefore make a comeback.

Changelog

07/28/2014

- Loot Hoarder
+ Conceal
Not primarily for Gadgetzan Auctioneer plays, but turn 10 Malygos + Conceal really sets a clock for your opponent. Sometimes you can even secure a win in the midgame, concealing 2-3 minions. Also Loot Hoarder felt weird lately because of his Deathrattle not having synergy with Anub'ar Ambusher. Besides of that, the deck runs very smoothly and nice so far.

08/15/2014

- Edwin VanCleef
+ Loatheb
Loatheb is just great and has better synergy with Anub'ar AmbusherEdwin VanCleef was mostly The Coined out on turned 2 as a 4/4 which is great but not necessary at the moment.

08/18/2014 (Hunter meta tech)

- 1x Earthen Ring Farseer
+ 1x Stonetusk Boar
This seems to be a weird change, but is mostly to counter Trap Hunter. Check with Wicked Knife for Explosive Trap, then play and run Stonetusk Boar into Freezing Trap. Thanks to Fakestreet who brought this great idea with his Boaring Miracle Rogue.
EDIT 09/12/2014: With the upcoming changes this change won't be needed anymore.

 09/14/2014

- 1x Earthen Ring Farseer
+ 1x Big Game Hunter
As Handlock will probably make a comeback after the nerfs, one Big Game Hunter helps a lot.

Considerations/cards, that didn't make it

  • Assassin's Blade feels a bit vulnerable at the moment with all these Control Warriors and Priests around, running Harrison Jones to counter Trap Hunters. Will be brought back as soon as possible.
  • Second Sap: Isn't needed with the pressure midgame due to Anub'ar Ambusher. If all those Savannah Highmanes make it necessary though, I will probably cut Conceal for it.
  • Edwin VanCleef might be brought back, when these meta changes aren't necessary anymore.
