mid/lategame favored
if you're playing this not to counter huge lategame creatures, which is what this is all about, and instead want a midrange safety net with another spell, get rid of the 2nd BGH for either backstab (early oriented) or any solid mid range pick of your choice really (i prefer azure drake)
You can also get rid of vanish in exchange for the more traditional pick of sap, but since this deck is more lategame oriented it tends to get rushed down, vanish allows you to reliably clear the board if they overextend, so it's preferable.
Conceal only stealths minions for 1 turn. Not THAT amazing with Gruul. Better to conceal a Questing Adventurer and pump him up with the extra mana, or possibly a Raging Worgen with Cold Blood (if you have a way to enrage him next turn, such as backstab or Perdition's Blade). I have a deck that works like that and it does pretty well. I was really excited to put Gruul in there at first, then I remembered it only worked for 1 turn, lol.
This is true but given the immediate base stats of Gruul, as well as the guarantee of getting at least 1 turn off with him, you'll always be assured an 8/8 at the absolute minimum (which is better than a worgen and usually more reliable than a questing adventurer), and since this deck is still very much a miracle deck in many of its elements, this is usually enough to follow up with an OTK combo afterwards. Gruul's issue, as pretty much anyone knows, is that he tends to instantly get removed when played, preventing him from being viable. This rectifies that, and you don't need multiple turns to feel his effectiveness here, especially with all the combo potential that follows. If you really wanted to have a stealthed Gruul for several turns on end, you could always put in Master of Disguise :P
I've tried using Master of Disguise. Not too viable, imo. As for the Worgen, 1-2 cold bloods make them incredibly strong.
