It's my luck, but very first game trying this build I get a grim patron warrior. Ouch.
T:2 wild growth into T:4 Mire keeper is the dream.
i had t1 coin side double innerv violet teacher PoW t1 4/6 and 2 2/2 pretty crazy. I dont remember turn 2 turn 3 roar game ennemy concede with 5 hp xD in a mirror of drood
I'd never liked to play Druid, but this deck is really fun to play and also competitive! Thank you. Any ideas how to replace Onyxia until i can craft her?
Stormwind Champion or Mukla's Champion can buff tokens. I'd suggest Addled Grizzly, but the 2 health means it dies before it can buff much, and it does nothing if you already have a board.
FIRST of all: This is NOT a flame comment, just want to share my personal experience so far. I think it's import for someone who might want to spend alot of Dust for a new deck (like I did with this one) and is after all not happy. The Deck is definitely strong/good and has alot of potential. But this deck wont carry your ass... it's not a deck where you can play anything and wait what's gonna happen... it needs alot of practice and patience.
Let me Explain:
Last Season I hit Rank 6 with my C'Thun Druid. I was happy with the Deck but it annoyed me, that it was so dependet on 1 key card (c'thun). So I wanted to try something new with the ladder reset. This Deck got many upvotes in a short time and reading all the positive comments, I was confident to put all my Dust in this one. So far I regret it badly!
I played around 100 matches with a winrate about 20%. This deck is terribly hard to play because any mistake gets punished beyond anything. And it's totally easy to make mistakes with this deck. Most of the time you sit there with a full hand, yet nothing good to play. And then when you finally have your combo and you empty your hand, your opponent just plays a board clear. And there you are with no units and no cards.
Baiting out board clears is a pain in the ass, because you always have to sacrifice some key cards for that. The only safe way to play alot of tokens is, when you have a soul of the forest where you almost always need a intervate! (wisps + soul = 11 mana). And with 1 in the deck you usually wait for ages. Also a very annoying... you always have to wait for power of the wild etc before you can play anything or swipe/ghoul etc... will clear the tokens.
Aggro Decks make you play your combo cards on tempo and you run out of steam pretty fast. Midrange decks slowly kills you while you waiting for your combo and controll decks have infinite board clears. At least warriors do....
I watched the tutorial... a good muligan is very rare. Most of the games you start with a useless hand and I use hero powers until turn 7.
I also watched alot of game play and was amazed of the high amount of yogg saves and the lack of board clear cards of the opponents.
BUT so far I'm not willing to give up yet, even though I can't get past rank 19 (LOL!)....... I just think you should really think twice before dusting this deck. If you dont like to wait an eternity to play anything and mostly lose if you do any mistakes, this deck is not for you.
I generally agree decks like this aren't "easy" to play, but that's the point of any deck that isn't "tempo" and specifically a ramp deck with choices involving "choose 1" or using Innervate correctly.
That be said, I feel like if you actually wen 20-80 out of 100 games with a deck that hit legend (unless OP lied about going 23-2), then you were likely doing certain things wrong.
Try changing your playstyle and seeing if that helps :D Druid is a generally powerful class that has many iterations that are good for grinding. The deck list I see here should easily get 50% WR on the ladder at most ranks.
finally - pay attention to the meta. I change decks if I lose a few, but I don't delete the deck. Decks are more powerful and weak baseed on the meta.
Good luck!
Thx man. Well today i managed to hit rank 14 for like a good hour. But I'm still struggling with the deck mechanic. I find the choose mechanic not to be that usefull... often I feel like that there is no real choose...
For example:
I struggle alot vs Midrange Decks who just curve nicely and bring bigger guns turn after turn (especially c'thun decks). You dont have enough wraths and swipe to keep the board clear and your HP starts dropping turn after turn. So you feel like you have to use power of the wild for a panther. But often they snipe it anyway and you lack a major key card for a violet teacher combo, since you simply can't play it without a +1/+1 buff (ghouls, swipe fan of knifes...). But if you don't play anything, any midrange deck just chews slowly through ur HP and in the endgame they just burst your face.
I've hit Rank 7 playing this deck. Have never played Druid though, so learning how to play the class is the hardest part. This deck looks pretty straight forward, but learning how to play around specific cards/classes is difficult. When I first started playing this deck I was hovering around rank 13-11 for the first 40-50 games. Then I started to understand how to play the deck around certain things without wasting resources, but creating threatening boards they had to deal with. I'm trying to hit Rank 5 with this deck, but I run a slightly different version of this deck because there's a lot of flexible cards that synergize with it.
That's the dream. I've pretty much played casually until this month, usually hitting rank 10 and not caring anymore. I haven't played much in the passed couple days, but next month I intend on pushing for legend. I also cut Onyxia, as she felt so slow and less threatening against most meta decks. Again, I could have been playing it poorly (which is a good possibility). Still trying to get better at the game, but I can see myself improving through ranking up.
I have no idea how to play this. I feel like I have a full hand all the time, yet nothing to play that will do me any good.
I've gotten a bit better, but dropped 3000 legend ranks first..
Still, Soul of the Forest and Savage Roar feels incredibly clunky at times. I think I'll drop one of them for something that is less of a dead card at times.
Finally someone who feels the same about those two cards. But i have to admit that Soul of the Forest saved my ass a lot of times too. Only Savage Roar did not really made a difference... Will replace it with a Ancient of War to have a bit of a lategame threat.
It's really bad yet so fun to play.
replacemment for oxyia
Just out of curiosity, why no Emperor Thaurissan? It would seem an utterly fantastic fit for this deck. One turn of Emperor Thaurissan with *either* Fandral Staghelm or Wisps of the Old Gods, and you can play them both on the same turn. Have both in your hand it's only nine mana. That is SICK.
And I just mean, with a deck like this, with or without Fandral, it's often about playing a lot of those key spells on the same turn, and having the mana cost get cut down by Emperor Thaurissan is just another way (like Innervate) of increasing your resources and the number of spells you are able to play on any given turn.
It is difficult to cut a card in a deck like this, but I would consider removing one Feral Rage. Or perhaps one Nourish, or maybe even ditch Onyxia. You could go in a number of directions, but in my opinion this deck *needs* Emperor Thaurissan. It's the card that makes a deck like this shine, it's the sorta card you'd wanna Innervate out the MOST, really. I dunno. It just seems so natural a fit.
If you play this deck (and I've played this a lot), you would know that rarely do you have many cards in your hand, making ET much less viable.
Loxodontes got Top1 whit ET look there:

He plays on BR realm. You can't compare the two.
