The Deck has been updated to Explosive Snipe since GvG !
Hello everyone I’m Spark, Legend player from Hearthstone, and today I’m presenting you a Control Hunter that I recently built and had some great success with.
The basic idea was to play Savannah Highmane as a late game threat and Eaglehorn Bow as a versatile control and pressure tool along with Snipe to annoy Miracle Rogue and Explosive Trap to fight Aggro decks. The slower nature of my choice lead me towards a Control archetype, using a synergy that I already tested before : Wild Pyromancer and Hunter's Mark.

Posted Oct 22, 2014 (Naxx Launch)I've been playing this a bit, but I can't seem to decide what to mulligan for. Do you play early game for tempo or do you just sit back and let them take the board? It seems like the deck can't keep up with the aggro death rattle meta.

Posted Oct 23, 2014 (Naxx Launch)I don't play it anymore since the Naxxramas meta. I guess you pretty much rely on drawing Mad scientist first and go for a Pyromancer play on Turn 3-4 to kill Aggro decks ;)

Could you elaborate what you mean by Naxxramas meta?

Posted Oct 24, 2014 (Naxx Launch)The naxxramas meta is filled with deathrattle minions so playing Hunter Control is a bit hard currently as your opponent will often have sticky creatures ^^

Posted Oct 1, 2014 (Naxx Launch)BGH is definitely great, before using TBK I was still using one elven archer so this slot is not that big of a deal, Sylvannas or Cairne could also work probably. I just found TBK very useful for Sludge Blechers and taunted giants

I've been playing with this deck for a really long time and here are some thoughts about post Naxx.
Senjin fits perfectly on the mana curve, however Beltcher is SUPER strong so I replaced the senjin's with Beltchers, it's out of mana curve but are way stronger. I tried Deathlords but the RNG is just too stupid.
I've removed the Elven Archer and added a Flare, with the amount of secrets on the ladder, this card is freaking OP right now.
SOMETIMES I think 1 snipe and 1 miss direction is better than 2 snipes but it really depends.
Do you have any new thoughts about the deck post NAXX ???
