I came back here after months, years even, to find the ruins of a once great deck. Midway through evolutions and heavily outdated it needed some work, but I wasn't feeling writing an updated zoo guide for the modern game. So I decided to take it back to where it all began. A piece of hearthstone history. The first deck that truly shattered the metagame. And where more appropriate than here, the resting place of the guide that started it all. My build of OG zoo that haunted the ladder right back in season 1.
R.I.P
FACEROLLERS 2.0
whooops seems like i offended some fatty tards :c sorry if this deck is so retrded and i have to say it. You wont hit legends even if u play it <3
HAHAHAHAA LOOK AT THE THUMBSDOWN, THIS IS CLEARLY WHY 70% OF U TARDS ARE AROUND 25-15 RANK lol suckers
Hey Noodles, love your guide, but please answer me this: Is Zombie Chow really better than Leper Gnome or Dancing Swords in this deck, and if so, why?
I feel like it is futile to attack the face with them early game because when they inevitably die, all the damage they dealt is healed, so I believe they're supposed to be used to trade before much face damage is dealt, ideally. However, it never seems to work out for me, because I never draw them when I want to...
If you play good enough, you'll be able to get to legend. It may take from 150 to infinite amount of matches. Oh, and if you're talking about legend ranks, it's not really good deck in legend.
I would love to comment about how solid Void Terror is, but 16 games later and i've only drawn it twice (both instances where I was already winning, and Void Terror simply wasn't needed). I understand its a really solid turn 3 or 4 drop between a Harvest Golem and Nerubian Egg but sadly no such luck on my end.
I'm currently testing a budget version of this deck because I don't have the extra naxx wings.
I'm not really sure what to keep. And I could also add shattered sun clerics if I feel I need more power.
okay, and so you're saying I should have enough enablers without power overwhelming and void terror?
That's seems reasonable with the sergeant, dwarf, argus, suns.
And I'll try switching out the creepers for ooze. I do see a lot of weapons.
Not bad but zombie chow is not that great, I did -2 Zombie for +1 Owl and +1 Ooze. Great for the warrior/hunter/pally decks and the owl is just overall great against big taunts or even other zoo's void terrors.
Really good deck but I had a better win rate exchanging Zombie Chow for Dancing Swords, even better than exchanging the zombie for Leper Gnome.
Nice!
I managed to climb to 6 so far with deck, with the exchange of Leper Gnome for Zombie Chow. Just wasn't getting the uses I wanted around the dreaded Rank 10.
This deck used to be great however with the questionable addition of Void Terror and the shift in meta that came with Naxx, the deck just does not seem to work. The biggest problem in my opinion is Zombie Chow which never really end up benefiting you at the end of the day.
So i really wany to thank you very much for share this with us my current score atm is 27_1 (ranked) only lose to presit and it was my own misplaying so just few things i understood while playing this deck : zombie chow is really good with undertaker why it is better than Leper Gnome for me is becuase it allow me to control early turns you dont go for face with it u go for trade useing the 3 health adv also another is to not overextend with the deck like not to play more than 4 monster unless it is an egg (i have never seen mass disabel yet ) this way even if board got clear while my oppenet use all his mana at trun 4 with coin or 5 i got 4 card in hand i summon another full set of monster over all this one is best zoo deck out there rellay thank you agien for share this with us
Really struggles against any sort of taunts.
My win percentage is higher with pre nax zoolock. I'm not so sure that any of these updates are improvements. The combos seem to slow it down a bit, which is exactly what you don't want in a good zoo deck. previously, there was zero combo reliance. If all goes well, the deathrattle zoo is great, but it is certainly less consitent and predictable than it was before.
I think I just need to get better with this deathrattle zoo stuff. I think skill is the reason I'm not winning as much with this one yet. I'm probably just not as good with it, as I am with my older style zoo deck. I also haven't started playing ranked this season, so I'm sure I'm off base in that department. Right now I'm losing more random matches, for daily quests, with the new setup, than I am with the old though. But like I said, I probably just need to play it smarter than I am. And the deck is a helluva lot more fun to play than the old version.
When I wrote that reply I didn't notice the updates, and I hadn't purchased that wing needed to get those cards. Now that i've included those cards the deck is amazing. Great work.
So I've only used the deathrattle version in 5 matches so far but already I have noticed a big weak point of the deck: Zombie Chow.
Of the 5 matches I have used Zombie Chow in 2 of the matches but every time I do It becomes a much harder match to win. The issue of the card is that to be able to make the card counter its deathrattle you have to be able to hit the other person 3 times in the face if the card is unbuffed, which is most of the time since there is now only one of Abusive Sergeant, Power Overwhelming, and Dire Wolf Alpha
I like the potential of Undertaker and I think it could work really well with the Zoolock deck but I don't think that Zombie Chow is worth having in the deck just to boost the possibility of buffing Undertaker
I wonder if Leper Gnome wouldn't be a better fit than zombie chow...
On second thought, the thought of a +5 HP bonus sitting on the playfield is pretty tempting. If a player really wants it, they will divert resources from hitting you in the face, or even priority minions just to snag the extra health. With the exception of flamestrike, it's still a trade... thoughts?
second edit: Just had a game with double chow, and the trades were pretty great. Rather than going for the face, I wiped everything the other zoolock played for three turns; by the time they popped, the other person was still at full health, and I had a solid side of minions.
