TIPS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR GAMEPLAY:
UPDATE: This got to Rank 1 of Hot in just a few hours, thanks to you guys. This is by far the best deck to climb right now and I actually haven't lost a game with it since I created this guide ramping it from a 80% to a 84%. I'm quite sure this deck can stand at a 65% winrate in competitive play.
This is the current version of the Totem Shaman, which turned out to be far superior to other shaman decks that run Flamewreathed Faceless
Pro-Player Xixo played a variation of this deck at dreamhack and the legend player Loyan created the archetype for this deck.
It's super easy to climb with this as it can be super aggressive and you can win by turn 6 easily. It seems like Priest is actually it's worst matchup and you don't see those often on ladder.
Card Explanation:
I made this video real quick explaining how and in which combination to use the cards. It's a card guide and nothing more, but I hope you still enjoy it. Full gameplay and explanation is coming soon.
MULLIGAN:
In general you want to mulligan for your early game.
Argent Squire, Tunnel Trogg, Flame Juggler, Totem Golem, Tuskarr Totemic
As you can see there are ALOT of cards you can mulligan for, so you usually start with a good hand. There are a few decks where you want to keep specific cards in your hand to counter the opponnent sooner or later.
vs. SHAMAN
Keep Lightning Bolt or Rockbiter Weapon + your early game cards. You can also keep a Hex instead and use it on their Dr.4 aka. Flamewreathed Faceless once they play it, putting them in a huge disadvantage.
vs. WARLOCK
Keep Lightning Storm or Tunnel Trogg + Lightning Bolt most of the warlocks are Zoo and a well timed Lightning Storm just fucks em over, but be careful not to use it too early, or they'll just fill the board again. Trogg + Lightning Bolt destroys their turn one Voidwalker and challenges any of their 2 drops without dying itself.
vs. WARRIOR
Nothing special to keep, except Harrison Jones IF you techd him in. Just look for your early game and try to accelerate before the warrior gets too much armor or board control.
REPLACEMENTS:
There aren't alot of replacements to be honest. NO YOU CAN'T REPLACE Tunnel Trogg!
You can replace Lightning Storm or Feral Spirit or Argent Squire for a Flamewreathed Faceless and Harrison Jones
VIDEOS MADE OF THIS DECK:
As fun as that could be in this deck [card] Al'Akir the Windlord[/card] would go against the deck archetype considering its a high cost late game minion in an otherwise aggro deck. And with any aggro deck, card draw is very important. But i can see it still fitting if that's what you want.
if you want Alakir you would want to take out doomhammer probably. There is not really a point in running both
Gostei.
Estava perdendo com o Agro shaman "Top Deck", mas com esse eu estou com 75% de vitórias.
É bem fácil e a maioria desiste quando vê um monte de totens gigantescos espirrando lava e outras forças elementares neles. XD
I have 68% win rate around rank 12.. and used to play it last season at rank around 6-7 and it was working fine too lol
Yeah I think you're just not playing it right. Face is not always the place bro.
Cool my win rate with this deck at level 20 is about 25%.
that's why you're level 20
Anyone else having issues with the Dragon Warrior? I must be doing something horribly wrong :)
Also, I've removed one Thunder Bluff Valiant (you never need two and rarely do you comeback to use it) for aFlamewreathed Faceless(because is a good card to have after a board clear) and one Argent Squire for a Lava Burst (similar to the first change, I'd rather get a Lava Burst then a second Argent Squire)
Edit: I didn't think it through :) The second Thunder Bluff Valiant is back in, I'd tech in Harrison Jones if I had him :) So I'm running with a Lava Burst and thinking about Acidic Swamp Ooze
This was the first deck I netdecked. It got me from rank 20 to 10 with no losses, when previously I hadn't beaten rank 15. At this point, at ranks 9-11, I seem to be getting about a 50-60% win rate. I'll update the exact win-rate after I've played enough games in the range to get an accurate percentage.
Yeah, there definitely seems to be a skill, or at least meta shift at that point. I'm saving up dust to hopefully adapt this deck for that point and beyond.
This deck still fits the meta well. I'm currently at rank 5 with 75% overall win rate and 90% vs Warrior, 89% vs Warlock, 71% vs. Shaman and 89% vs Hunter.
Did you hit a wall at rank 10 with it at all?
Hit the wall at Rank 15 as well. Piece of shit deck.
84% win-rate MY ASS!
This deck feels insane until you reach rank 8-9. Then you encounter control warriors every 2 games and deck just cant win against them
Easy rank 20 to 9 last month in 1 day, even without Doomhammer and some more cards
Now my best is rank 10 - server America - after playing multiple times (I don't have enough dust so I change 1 mana tide totem to 1 cult master, 1 lightning storm to Dr.4 )
This deck used to be very strong but now it's not. Does anyone know why? Should I invest all my dust to this deck and craft Harrison Jones to make the best version of this deck, and get rank 5?
Lost two in a row to easy match-ups. #EasyClimb
