First of all, not my idea
This deck is inspired by reading "Holy Sh...adow Priest" by angelcrest. When I first read about the paragraph From Zero To Hero, I immediately think, "YES! This is the real burst power of Priest!!!". Thanks for the great idea!
How it works
Divine Spirit : Double a minion's Health.
Crazed Alchemist : Battlecry: Swap the Attack and Health of a minion.
In short, DOUBLE DAAAAMAGE.
You don't get a card double a minion's Attack, but you actually DO have a card double a minion's Health. SO, you just need a Crazed Alchemist to help you do the work!
Scenarios: mana needed from Low to High
Scenario 1 - Windfury + Crazed Spirit = 28 Damage
- you place a Thrallmar Farseer (3), just for its windfury
......wait for next turn....... - Divine Spirit make it a 2/6 with windfury
- Crazed Alchemist make it a 6/2 with windfury
- ATTACK! 6 x 2 = 12 damage in a round!! (oh where is the 28??, here we go)
** Adding a Power Word: Shield and Prayer of Fortitude now
- Thrallmar Farseer (3), 2/3 with windfury
- put a Power Word: Shield (1), it is now 2/6 with windfury
......wait for next turn....... - Prayer of Fortitude (1) 3/7 with windfury
- Divine Spirit (2) + Crazed Alchemist (2) make it a 14/2 with windfury
- BOOM! 12 x 2 = 28 damage!!
** I put Windfury Harpy in deck for late stages in game which Thrallmar Farseer may die too quick
Scenario 2 - Priest the Doomsayer , BOOOM! 30 Damage!
- Doomsayer (2), only 2 mana for 7 health, best choice
- Silence (0), to make it a 0/7 card only
- Divine Spirit (2), it is now 0/14, since it don't do any damage, other player normally won't care about it
......wait for next turn....... - Prayer of Fortitude (1) or Abusive Sergeant (1), just to make it have a little Attack before swapping, it is good if you can have Dire Wolf Alpha / Raid Leader, before play, then you can skip this step
- Divine Spirit (2) AGAIN + Crazed Alchemist (2) !!! Making it a 30/1 minion!!
- BOOM! 30 DAMAGE!!!
Scenario 3 - 1/14 or 14/1 is your choice
- Mogu'shan Warden / Oasis Snapjaw for its 7 health and defensive nature
......wait next turn...... - Divine Spirit (2) + Crazed Alchemist (2) turning to a 14/1
- Suddenly you turn your strong def to strong atk, why not?
This scenario should just be used if you are really unlucky, but putting these 2 out as normal defensive minions can let you have more room to wait for you real combo.
For late game, use a Ysera as start to do 28 damage.
Scenario 4 - BEST use of Alexstrasza, 3 cards = WIN
- Place your lovely Alexstrasza, set your enemy to 15
.......next round........ - Divine Spirit + Crazed Alchemist turning to a 16/8
- G-G-! No matter you have 100000000000 HEALTH!
No matter how many HP your enemy have, you only need 3 cards to finish him off.
********** if you tired of waiting a turn, HERE WE ARE **********
Scenario 5 - Betrayal of your own minion, THROW HIS MINION ONTO HIS FACE!
- Dark Command your enemy minion
- Divine Spirit + Crazed Alchemist !! I am sure it do a pretty instant >6 damage to your enemy
Scenario 6 - 20 ATK with CHARGE, WTF?
- Stormwind Knight OMG, a neutral minion with charge and have 5 health
- Divine Spirit > Divine Spirit , turn to a 2/20
- Crazed Alchemist (2), BOOM! 20 DAMAGE!!!
* To make the deck more responsive to enemy, I put quite a lot silence (Spellbreaker, Silence x 2, Mass Dispel) to dispel possible taunt minion before our attack.
Also, I tried to add more survivability to the deck, such as Ancient Watcher (to use with silence in some cases), Fade, Greater Heal.
Thanks for reading till the end, hope it wont get nerf before I can actually play it!!!
Inner Fire is what would truly make this deck potent, not just the alchemists
The problem of this deck is that you only have two alchemists. When you use all of them (or you didn't draw them and you die), you are basically done. Why? That's because most of your minions are rubbish cards with low value.
P.S. Get a math class dude...you really need it
This seems like good deck but it seems very uncsistant seeming u need to save up all these are cards and you can only buff a creature once so it has to count
Deck idea is nice, but seems like you need to have just the right draws for it to hit perfectly.
Exactly what I said and you can only buff one creature since you use all your divine sprits
How consistent is this deck??? Would love to see some videos.
just curious about the ancient watcher? is it only there because you have fade in your deck?
two power word shields on stormwind knight then one divine spirit you can have it to 22/2 with charge instead of 20/2
I came up with this idea but you made it go far. My deck wasn't particularly centered around anything and tried to make use of different mechanics but this really took the Crazed Alchemist play to the end I must congratulate you. If don't mind a suggestion it didn't occur to me until now but you can use Youthful Brewmaster to bounce the Crazed Alchemist to use the effect again :D Perhaps this time in combo with Power Word: Shield.
Please comment on this crazed idea! Thanks!!!
