Ing Mezeker. I tried to play different decks to legend every season; this season i played mostly combination of priest, shaman and this Paladin deck that I had a lot of success with. Lost about 2 games from rank 3-4 to legend. I will let you guys do the math on the %.
Now how is this deck different to Midrange Paladin:
1) No Quartermaster, don't need it. Also if you don't draw early curve it will be a 2/5 against most agro decks and you dont need the value against control decks with KT, Tirion AND Elise. Entomb Elise ok, Entomb Tirion ok but you can't entomb KT, nor can you lightbomb him! Muahaha.
2) No juggler, but 1 Pyromancer and 2 equalities. The Pyro is in there because sometimes you dont get conc. Also Pyro conc 3 damage is handy. Also you can get insane tempo with 4 mana board clear (2 with Thaurisan but we get to that later). Juggler mostly sucks as a card on 2, especially in the land of Imp Gang bosses.
3) Thaurisan, while this card is shit in Midrange paladin in this deck it shines because it enables combos and you have two lay on hands. Equality trade you board in KT on 8. Pyro equality KT for 9 mana.
4) Harrison over Loatheb. Cause doomhammer is a card and card draw really benefits this deck. Also i don't run owl because its a dead draw and you can't have to many of those vs classes like druid.
5) Jouster cause its fucking fun AND even if it does not go off 5/6 body trades SOOO well with druid and trading with their minions is sometimes a pain with paladin. Also its a taunt, and we love those.
If you have any questions feel free to ask below.
Edit: Keep in mind the that 3 classes I was playing at the time were C warrior, druid, and agro shaman. Harrison does not seem necessary anymore, another chow would do much more than the extra 4 drop. Jouster should probably be removed as well for another 6 drop, perhaps sylvanas.
quick tip vs agro shaman, keep equality if you have muster.
hey there!
This is one of the most inconsistent deck I have ever seen in the HS history, playing from behind is never a good idea (exceptions are the OTK decks) went 0-5 with this deck at rank 9 then I decided that was enough for me. I am a multiple legend player and I understand the deck mechanics quite well. First of all I cut the jouster and replaced with TBK and I did the same with harrison, and I put an ooze for a solid 2 drop at least. Maybe you can pull out "something fancy" at rank 5 but DEFINITLY not good for laddering, I dont recommend it for anyone! Here is some screenshot links how I get wrecked by a druid and by some kind of foolish mechwarlock

All in all: Terrible in the meta, Slow and very draw dependent.
read the edit and the classes i was playing against.
Yo yo, dudes. I made a video about this deck. Check it out and leave a comment or two.
Yah for midrange pally :D !
How does this hold up against combo decks? Druid and murloc Pally?
druid is fine, Otk paladin is hard if you have no early pressure. Reno OTK is hard if they know what you are, easier than midrange paladin.
Hi i tried this deck with some success, but i really dont like Jouster, do you find Sunwalker as good replacement?
When i made the deck i was playing vs c warrior, agro shaman and druid. Body good vs both the midrange control classes but it usually got taunt vs shaman. Reason why i had it in there. Recently i removed Harrison for loatheb and added a chow for the jouster.
I would like to just iterate a few things that you may want to take into account:
1) The deck takes some getting use to, it plays different than midrange paladin because you dont always use resources inneficiently to keep up with tempo. You must take into consideration your hand and how much damage you can afford to take much like with handlock.
2) A big reason the deck was so successful for me is that people did not expect it. One game i dropped pyro on 2 and a druid i played against (thinking i was otk paladin) played vs conservatively because he feared getting his board wiped. By conservatively i mean for instance instead of playing drake and shade on 8, he would drake hero power. This plays to the advantage of the deck because as long as you have time you can respond to threats very efficently and effectively.
3) you can think about adding a pyromancer and romoving a 4 drop.
4) Because you have 2 equalities, be wary of trading your 1/1s. Sometimes certain trades you just dont want to make because of the versatility these tokens give you combined with equality.
Finally, back to the roots. I like that very much!

Why Emperor?Nevermind, did not read the test.
So Emperor does nothing in this deck like expected. I replaced it with loatheb.
interesting, emperor won me a couple games, notably accelerating lay on hands vs agro shaman, and allowing me to KT and Tirion earlier. Also a game vs secret paladin, i dropped it on 6 when he challengered. I cleared his board and dropped a shreeder and a minibot which gave me back irreversible tempo.
So if you didn't run Harrison Jones you'd be using Loatheb in that spot (only card i'm missing ) ?
probably yea.
I play Solemn Vigil.
of course
