EDIT - Sadly this brawl's over, I'm overjoyed that so many people enjoyed playing this deck over the last few days. If this brawl ever comes around again I'll definitely create an updated version including any new cards that are suitable. Aside from that I'll try to create new decks from time to time for you guys to try out.
Tips for playing this deck
Mulligan for spells that help create minions.
Always try to get Flare when against a mage or hunter.
Freezing Trap can stop a druid from getting big threats out early.
Don't use Freezing Trap along side Misdirection.
This deck has loads of removal, but make sure you're using the right spells for your situation.
This deck is flexible, if you're missing cards then improvise.
Majordomo Executus is funny to throw in if you're against priests a lot, and can also help win jousts.
Have fun!
Edit - Wasn't expecting this to take off, wow! I wish I had an active twitch channel or something to promote here, instead all I can say is thanks for the love everyone!
Edit 2-
Thanks again everyone for all of this love, wasn't expecting 20 upvotes, let alone 200!
The user Kiwiinbacon has created a video of the deck in action so I thought I'd post it here for you guys to check out, he's pretty thorough in explaining all of his decisions so it's worth watching if you're not sure about the deck.
Another Edit -
Here's another video of the deck in action this time by a user named JoRoSaR. In this video you get to see him trying out the deck for the first time and also giving a great commentary on what he's thinking every turn.
Hey i am a boy and i play lot game. I like game play hearthstone like and someday proffesional money i get.
one of the most fun decks this brawl
Well, wanted to try this deck just for the lulz and I gotta say it's completely unplayable now.
Everyone is running better decks for this brawl and this deck just feels so damn slow.
Priest, Shaman, Mage are owning me like there's no tomorrow, there's just not enough damage in this deck.
Thanks for the easy win
Thanks for the deck! 500g for the next expansion in the bank now.
As we are drawing to a close of this brawl, a good number of counter decks have popped up (like the double heal shammy, astral druid) but it still works well.
was does your gold have anything to do with this deck
I think it shows that it was still viable all the way through to be able to grind out that many required wins for that amount even if "better" decks were out toward the end. As a later poster said, priest, shammy and mage became stronger as they adjusted to this deck and getting wins was getting harder but not impossibly so.
worked well. pretty funny. i didnt have lock and load but still won no problem.
Oh yes please, keep playing this deck. I love wrecking all those sorry hunters with my Shaman deck with double Healing Wave. 3mana 14heal X2 without even having to Joust, thanks a lot.
Great deck, Bird95! Pay no attention to the haters here, they're just jealous they didn't think of it. Been plowing through quests with this and loving every second of it. Thanks!
I don't see a problem here :)
The thing I like about it is that it goes completely against what blizzard had in mind for the brawl, it goes against everyone's expectations and it can completely catch people off guard. Also I think if you played it you'd realize that there's quite a lot more thought to it in a lot of games than just smorc.
I must admit the ingenuity behind this deck: I faced the (horrid) quest of winning 5 brawls so I decided to ride this puppy into battle. Only took one loss to a priest whose strategy was basically to cast thoughtsteals until he could get a flare.
Something worth mentioning is that you'll even have good matchups against other hunters: it comes down to play secrets and pop them one by one, so you don't get rekt by flare. On the flipside, if you're facing a mirror and have a flare in hand, do your best to pop the secrets in the least hurtful way possible and save the flare when the other guy jumps the gun and plays two or more secrets.
TL;DR Don't spam your secrets in the mirror, maximize the value of your flares (that should be obvious but the quest experience showed otherwise).
I didn't have the second L&L (had the dust to craft it but I'm a cheapskate) so I replaced it with a single kill command. It saved my hide a couple times.
I also faced a challenger-less secret pally and got an instant concede when I flared 3 secrets away.
If you're looking for a decent-ish counter for this, try a healing-focused Paladin deck.
I had a period tonight where I faced Hunter after Hunter, SMOrc after SMOrc, all using this deck (or a close variant that traded Lock and Load for Glaivezooka or Kill Command), and went Paladin to fight against it. It works fairly well (went 3-1 with it, with my one loss being mainly my fault where I didn't play around Misdirection and hero power before attacking). Run Noble Sacrifice to ruin their Huffers, and run at least 2x copies of three different heals (I went for Holy Light, Guardian of Ancient Kings, and Lay On Hands).
Problem is that it was pretty awful against non-SMOrc decks and will lose most late-game battles because most of the healing is too expensive to play unless your opponent was relying on your health being low (i.e. SMOrcing).
Created an account just to say how much fun and OP this deck is...thanks for creating this. The only change I made is that I took out lock and load and replaced it with Kill command. Any minion that get summoned for you will automatically trigger the max damage on this. Don't discount 10 damage...
The best ever is when a paladin or a priest buffs a minion, gets all happy and starts taunting and bamm! no more minion....its worth it just for that...still laughing..
Yes, it is a cancer deck but you still need strategy, not just mindless clicking. don't just throw all your secrets out there, use strategy for when you need them most...also try to follow the "always do damage every turn rule" if possible.
You will probably have problems with the warrior like any other cancer deck because they can buff so much. I don't really have that much success again them. The biggest challenge I found is playing against the same deck as this one, then it really comes down to the luck of the draw or if they are bad players. Everybody else is pretty easy..
Didnt play with this but played against this deck and not strong against druid . I won everytime
I played an Astral Communion Druid deck and won 9/10 times versus this deck. If you having a hard time versus this deck I would suggest playing hard ramp including cards like Nourish to really gain an advantage that this deck can't handle. In fact, I hadn't even considered playing this deck either because of the success I had against it.
I just had a hilarious win against a druid with this deck.
On turn 3, he coined then play Astral Communion.
Surely he thought he was going to have an easy win with that.
Turn 4, he played Ysera. Turn 5 was KT. Turn 6 was Boom.
By turn 7, he had very little health from the spells on my end, yet had Ysera, Boom, and KT on the board.
I had 2 traps (explosive and misdirection) ready and waiting.
I figure he assumed one was a freezing trap, so he went to attack my face with shapeshift, triggering explosive first..
The hilarity ensued when misdirection activated and he attacked his own Ysera and lost the game.
ive beat this deck everytime ive played against it, either not that strong deck or player..................
with this deck or similar
