I got to Rank 10 on NA using this deck and I see it having more potential in the higher ranks as i havent been seeing much deck difference at rank 3. 
This deck focuses on keeping the board clear and playing some strong and efficient minions on board. Most minions in this deck are amazing by themselves. The spells and minions can hold the early game because they all trade well. Dont forget that you can enrage the Amani Berserker with the hero power.

Frost Nova is a viable option for this deck. Ice Lance would work well with it. Cone of Cold is another alternative

Arcane Explosion may seem absurd but it is a great card that sets up strong flamestrike turns and makes aggro decks tremble in fear (lol). It is a substitute for Archmage or Gurubashi Berserker if you are facing alot of rush

Arcane Intellect can help you get a card advantage late game when it is a top decking war. Some can argue that they can be swapped out for other cards. If you don't like this card, you can add any legendaries or azure drakes to bend it to your liking.

Focus on always keeping the enemy on their toes with the removal. Never be afraid to use fireball for removal.

PyroblastIs pretty good right now but you have to add blizzards and other slow cards not to mention more cycling with acolyte and loot hoarders.  

Substitute Cards-

-Instead of Archmage you can add in Sen'jin Shieldmasta
-Instead of Argent Commander you can add in Boulderfist Ogre or Gurubashi Berserker
-Leper Gnome can be substituted with Argent Squire
-Harvest Golem can be substituted with Scarlet Crusader although not reccomended

UPDATE:Scarlet Crusader can be a viable option in this deck instead of amani or harvest golem

UPDATE 2: Icebarrier works well in the deck (I run 1) and I dropped the Sen'jin Shieldmasta for the Archmage to combo with the Argus for a 5-8 taunt or just a 4-7 spellpower minion.
The archmage is definitely underrated and works very well. It also makes the match up against handlock a bit more favorable. I found handlock to be the most troublesome. Remember if you dont like the Archmage , Sen'jin Shieldmasta is still a great card to have. Archmage has just been giving me better results. It trades well, gives spell power and is a great target for Defender of Argus

UPDATE 3: Added in Leper Gnome and Gurubashi Berserker

UPDATE 4: Added the Sen'jin Shieldmasta back in and removed x1 Arcane Missiles

UPDATE 5: Removed the Gurubashi Berserkers and the Chillwind Yetis and added in Kobold Geomancer and Gnomish inventors. Also added Mirror Image. I've also been playing around with the idea to remove the Amani Berserkers and add in Novice Engineers

UPDATE 6: replaced ogres for azure drakes, better value and ogres are way too slow and feel useless.

MATCHUPS: Zoo- Easy Matchup unless you get bad luck with card draw.

                     Handlock- Pretty hard I try to rush down very fast and save the fireballs for the finisher.

                     Hunter- EZ All them 1 hp minions mmmmmm and those highmanes waiting for the poly

                     Shaman- Eh. So annoying but if you can clear the board, you'll be fine

                      Druid- ffs. its a 60-40 in favor of druid maybe a 45-55 quite dependant on draws and making the best trade. (remember all the massive minions, dont poly the keeper of the grove)

                      Warrior- Pretty easy, if its control then you cant really keep too much on the board at one time :(.

                      Rogue- Op EZ pickings Flamestrike op

                      Paladin- Glhf anyones game

                      Preist- Free win until pay to win hero power heals himself >:S

                       Mage- Well Good luck and Pray to rngesus
