Update 5: I've been working on a full rebuild to the deck after my struggles with handlock and miracle rogue at the end of last season and have seen some success in testing during the first few days of the season from ranks 10 to 8. I wanted something that didn't rely so heavily on minions staying on the board for a turn because if your opponent clears board, aggro paladins tend to just run out of gas too easily.
-Cards of note: 2xStonetusk Boar instead of elven archer. This deck is much more focused on charge minions that can be played with a buff on the same turn. Archer was too slow and never stayed around for a turn anyway. Stonetusk can also be combo'd with equality if need be but, archer never seemed to be effective enough and is too slow for this deck.
- Removed 2xLeper Gnome because everyone is expecting it... And I just plain don't like playing the card. Turn 1 leper gnome makes me want to take a shower and stop playing the game for the rest of the day. Aside from my personal dislike for the card, It instantly reveals your intentions and is a dead card if drawn late game. Removed them in favor of more charge options.
- 1xArcane Golem and 1xWolfrider 1 of each to pair with your buffs/ sergeants. 2 arcanes often times would screw me over. This is the portion of the deck that I'm still unsure of.
And for the Grand Finale (drumroll please)
+1Tirion Fordring I know, I know, he's not necessary in a rush paladin. blah, blah, blah. I just love me some Golden Tirion. In all honesty, he started out as a joke but, I hadn't played him in a rush pally since tinkmaster had been nerfed and he's turned out to be insanely strong so far. Druids have often times used both of their silences before turn 8 and drastically improved that matchup for me. Siphon soul is no good unless combo'd with an ironbeak and that's a wasted 8 mana turn for them. Rogues can sap it but, they sure as hell better be able to kill you or have another in hand for next turn! Worst case scenario it gives you one more turn to draw a game ending card. Try him out and tell me that you didn't have a good rest of the day. I dare you.
Gameplay:
I made a gameplay video for you guys to explain some of the changes and main concepts so check it out and lemme know what you think! I'm also making 4 more gameplay tutorials this week covering the "somewhat" original decks that I've used on ladder over the past few seasons at the highest level so check out the stream and my youtube channel for updates! I also wanted to say how thankful I am to this entire community. Since I first started playing this game 6 months ago, I've recieved nothing but positive feedback and advice from players with much more experience and skill than I. If anybody is ever interested in coaching or advice I would love to return the favor! Thanks again and stay tuned for more streams and vids!

Update 4: Made a few changes to help with dead hands showing up early. You'll notice the removal of Black Knight and 1 Avenging Wrath. I took out the Black Knight in favor of a second Ironbeak to allow us to play more than 1 minion in a turn. I've made another decktech with some gameplay attached so check it out! I'm also doing a Q&A with topdeck.gg about the deck later in the week so stay tuned.
Update 3: Had an opportunity to use this deck against Kitkatz in a tournament today and almost pulled off a miracle against his control paladin. I have a feeling that the game wasn't actually as close as i thought it was at the time, but it will be interesting to watch his video of the tournament to see what else he had in hand. For those of you that wanted to see more gameplay this is a great example of how this deck is supposed to feel/play. I brought this deck out game 2 in a best of 3 after pulling a ridiculously lucky/ hilarious victory with my pirate/lorewalker warrior against his priest. Here's a link to the paladin game and check out what I top decked in game 1... My only chance
Update 2: Took out the Worgen Infiltrator in favor of an Ironbeak Owl for an early game taunt silence
Update: Glad to hear that this deck has been working well for everyone! After receiving a ton of positive feedback, I wanted to go ahead and make an update video touching on changes that I've been experimenting with over the past week and replacement suggestions that I've received. In the video I talk about card replacements for Mukla and Black Knight as well as reasons against a second blessing of kings. There has also been requests for gameplay against aggro decks which you can find more of on my twitch channel at twitch.tv/trgamma. There are actually a few games that I ended up losing to this very deck as well. I'll also be making more instructional videos largely based on decks that are lesser known or commonly misplayed. I've found that success on the ladder is often times helped by the element of surprise. Thanks again for all the feedback and enjoy the video.

This deck has gotten me from rank 16 to 6 over the past few days and hasn't showed any sign of slowing down. Focuses heavily on keeping small minions on the board early to put your opponent on their heels. With a good draw, you can finish the game fast... turn 4 fast. With that being said, it needs to be played correctly to be consistent. I've made a video explaining each cards use and will be uploading gameplay footage as this continues to take me up the ladder. Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions as I will be updating this deck as changes are made.

I loved this deck. I took a variation from Rank 18 up to 1 (2 stars from L) and then the Meta changed. This deck was great when people didn't expect it and it destroyed two common types of Warlock decks (Zoo and Handlock) at the time. I originally ran the deck with a BK (for Mukla) and 2x HoW (for BoK and BT).
The deck doesn't currently work for me now though, despite trying to change card composition. I have a very low win ratio against Hunters, Token Druids, and Mages. Combined with some horrible card draw RNG (I seem to get 4-4-6 starting hands with 6-6-4 Mulligans every other time) my win ratio plummeted and I ended up hitting a wall at Rank 5. The last time I played this deck, I ended up with a Mulligan of 2x DF and 2x Consecration.
Not so sure about this deck. I was excited when I read about it but haven't been doing well with it at all. Played 20 games in casual and have only won 2, and one of those wins was by sheer luck. Save your arcane dust. This deck is very weak and has too many decks that can counter it. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I doubt it. Pass this one up.
Edit: Really really really wanted to give it a shot. Stayed up an hour later than I should have and lost 10 more with it. Yeah, very bad deck. THe main problem is there are way too many low cost low threat minions that take up the deck. They can be easily wiped by move 3 or 4 and even if you have a board full of them they really don't hurt much. All the cards that do damage are burried in a bunch of useless trash. Do not build this one! Trust me!
If you're losing 18 out of 20 games in casual, regardless of the deck you're playing, you're clearly doing something wrong. It sounds to me like you may be spamming out all of your minions leaving yourself susceptible to a full board wipe early in the game. The idea is to play as many as you think it will take to make sure you have atleast 1 minion left over for your following turn and allow for the element of surprise for your buffs. It is also important to spread out your buffs avoiding losing all of them to a single silence. I'll be streaming this deck tomorrow on ladder on my way towards legend if you'd like to see how it is supposed to be played.
This deck is not that bad, just some mess up cards. I really don't think Tirion Fordring was a good card in the deck at all lol. And 2 Stonetusk Boar. Ehh... 1 may be good enough, but 2. Not really. I also think taking out Leper Gnome is not a good decision. That guaranteed 2 damage there unless someone stupid enough to silent something that cheap lol
Made the changes and ran a game at rank 9 against a shaman. He never managed to gain board control. Didn't even have the best draw ;)
Oh, and the real trick seems to be holding back your charge minions if you have pump-up cards and playing them at the same time. I guess that's what you mean by "surprise" :)
Any good replacement for King Mukla and Black Knight?
run a blood knight instead of mukla
I used to play Trucking's Pally Aggro, which has Knife Juggler in it, and found that equality + knife just never worked. Equality + Elven archer seems to be the perfect match for spot removal since you can play it early or have follow-up play later.
Juggler became the number one target of everyone. Coin him in and usually they'd remove him the very next turn. If I was clever I'd get a few hits off him and then be able to smack 'em in the face once, but any good player will get rid of the juggler very quickly. He also advertises that you're running an aggro deck and now-a-days you want that to keep 'em guessing on if you're mid-game or early game.
Also, what I'm finding with aggro decks is you need to make sure cards like equality have multiple ways of being useful. That's why divine favor works so well with Mukla, but not so well without him (Trucking doesn't use mukla).
So what do you do against mages and hunters? I've actually been on a losing streak because of these two classes that are 8/10 of my matches now.
I want to love this deck, I really do, but I seem to be having a few issues.
Is there any plan on maybe another gameplay video?
Thank you for your effort. :)
any substitute for avenging wrath? I don't have enough dust to make :(
ty man, 100% win rate rank 15 to 10 for now, ill get to 5 and under pretty fast
Edit: Made some change cause i dont have mukla and black knight
I've been using a Blood Knight, synergizes well with all the shields in the deck.
Enjoying this deck, thanks for posting it! Any chance for more vids, maybe against aggro decks?
Awesome! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it and yes, I'm actually streaming this deck tonight on my twitch channel (http://www.twitch.tv/trgamma) and I would love for some suggestions and help with this deck. I'll be posting some single game highlights for the different common match-ups on that same youtube channel as well. I'm testing a few minor changes tonight so swing by and say hi!
LOVING this deck. I was playing around with shamans yesterday and dropped from rank 13 to rank 19. After making this I'm back up to rank 14.
I actually was using Trucking's Pally Aggro deck prior to this. He uses even more charge minions, but your build with elven archer + equality is just SO fricken awesome. On top of that, in Trucking's deck I was finding Divine Favor to mostly be a useless card. King Mukla combo solves that :)
I did change the cards around a little bit. I don't have Black Knight or Bloodmage. I tried some various replacements and what I found is the meta seems full of controls now. I needed a way past taunts (thus the Black Knight). My alternative list is the following:
You're absolutely right about the controls taking over. As I've moved up the ranks, this deck has started to struggle against all the control warriors and druids. I reall like the adjustments you've made and am going to try it out. The extra Arcane Golem looks extremely appetizing because it can so often be the gamechanger in this deck and most of the time, the extra mana crystal for your opponent is a non factor. I've been playing around with 2 Ironbeak Owls in place of the Blacknight and 1 Abusive Sergeant, but it seems to slow things down a bit. I'll try yours out and see how it goes. Thanks for the response!
The match-up I'm finding most difficult are control warrior decks. So far it seems Divine Favor is what you want in your starting hand in this match up as inevitably they keep trading Acolytes of Pain for cards and when your hand stalls out they've got more coming.
Anyone find strategies using this deck for control warriors? I literally just ended a 12 game win-streak on a bloody warrior... Given, I had bad card draw and still managed to get him down to 3 health even after he Alexstrasaed...
Went from rank 20 to rank 11 with no losses on the way.
