Intro:
I love to Theorycraft before an adventure comes out!
I am also a big Hunter fan, I reached legend with Hunter twice.
Also I can say that I have a golden hunter and 4000 normal wins.
Soo Let me show you why this deck is special:
Deathrattle idea:
You have got the strongest qdeathrattle cards from the game in this deck, use your Feign Death to trigger them. Use your Baron Rivendare to double the effect. The funny thing about Explorer's Hat is that it works like Headcrack, you always get it back in your hand. Use this card to trigger your Nerubian Egg. A strong combo is to do first Explorer's Hat on a minion and follow your play with a Feign Death. Why one Echoing Ooze? Play this card and put an Explorer's Hat on him, after this turn you can Feign Death if your oozes are still alive! These plays wil give you so much extra Explorer's Hats for the rest of the game :) Try to keep board control, that's important.
Why 1x Feign Death ??
I think that 2x feign death is not steady enough. If you got 2 feign death in your (early) hand without having deathrattle drops or hat's it will be useless and you will lose the game for sure. I replaced 1 feign death with an Ironbeak Owl because the owl is just a very effective silence card. In this meta you will need that. If you don't agree with me, just put a second feign death in your deck and let me know how that works for you! ;)
Update:
I replaced a sludge belcher with the new LoE card Djinni of Zephyrs!
Why did I put a Djinni of Zephyrs in this deck..? Because it is made for a perfect combo with the Explorer's Hat. It isn't actually a bad drop if you don't have a explorer's hat in your hand. Just wait for it and play this card together with explorer's hat. It gives you an extra hat and a 5/7 on the board! I've tried this theory out today and it worked out really good. It makes the deck also even more fun. ;)
Update 2:
When Sir Finley Mrrgglton is playable and available, you should throw that card in your deck!! Try to mulligan it and use this card get yourself a better hero power for your midrange/control/combo deck. I theory crafted this card so im not sure how good it will work out. I am very excited to test it out! Until that you can replace Sir Finley with an Abusive Sergeant or a Leper Gnome.
Own choice:
You can put a Lock and Load instead of an abusive sergeant in this deck.
After a lot of playing with this deck I've realized that the deck needs some extra card draw. Because you will end up a lot of time with a lot of hats, this is where Lock and Load comes in action! You can Just keep drawing cards. I am not a really big fan of lock and load, I also think that there are not enough low cost spells in this deck. So I kept the abusive sergeant. It is on you to decide which card fits better in your deathattle deck. Thank you for all the feedback!

I only own 1 feign death and this is the first deck I have seen include as one of instead of 2

This deck is interesting and for now I like it. I wanna try to combine it with my deathrattle hunter playing 2 Feign Death in it.

So, Echoing Ooze is just to slow, its a late game card if you get multiple hats, but if not it isn't worth it. It does however give you an extra hat.
Eydis Darkbane is a superstar, and so is the Dragonkin Sorcerer. The lack of 3 drop is hard, so I did put in a Jeweled Beetle that lets you discover a 3 mana card. It actually works out well.
Great deck, it made my hunter's quest much more enjoyable. :) Kudos to you and the others who've contributed to it's current state.
I must say, losses are even more tolerable with this deck, because the match has such a surprising nature with each draw. Keep up the good work. :)
played 2 days with this; Really fun to play, but really inconsistent.

I like the idea of the deck but stuck around level 15.
I am trying out Acolyte of Pain, Hobgoblin, 2 copies of Echoing Ooze and 1 copy of Feign Death. The standard deck had to much trouble. Removed Abusive Sergeant , 1 [card]savannah highmane[/card] , 1 Kill Command
You get some nice little combos off but it is not enough to do lethal damage in the long run. once it gets towards later game the enemy always has better creatures.
Do you guys automatically mulligan for the hats? Anyone been able to get above rank 14 with this deck?

I really tried but i seriously can't make this deck work. I lost like 80% with the original deck list, so over the course of about 30 games I tried swapping a lot of the cards that were often just dead in my hand:
- 2 x Abusive sergeant, 1x owl, 1x knife juggler, 1x Djinni, 1x Glaivezooka, 2x kill command, 2x unleash
+ 1x Acolyte of pain, + 2x freeze trap, + 1x snake trap, + 2x mad scientist, + 1x loot hoarder, + 2x animal companion, + hobgoblin
I increased my winrate, but I really can't make this deck to work. I tried it at ranked (rank 3) and normal, and in a very few cases I got some fun wins but I don't even get a chance at winning most of the games...

I lose first game, but in second, got 2x egg, 2x hat, feign death and Baron in hand, look what I have on 6th turn :D
I actually think this deck brings a new type of play to the field. It's funny playing people and trying to watch them figure out what type of deck you are. Espescially the smORCS
djini with lots of hats..lovin it
How do you feel about adding Wild Pyromancers. It combos well with Hunter's Mark and you have plenty of other spells to trigger it. It helps drastically with paladin match up and pretty much any other midrange deck. Not to mention Pyro+Hunter Mark kills boom and his boom bots.
Fun deck but I am getting smoked with it... 30 percent win rate today.. I'll try again tomorrow but damn!
