Greetings traveler
So, a few weeks ago, I got to thinking about Majordomo, and how I really wanted him to fit in a deck. So I thought, what class would do the best job of protecting you once you're rag. And after checking what cards I have, I realized that the hunter's traps would actually go great protecting rag, namely misdirection. Now, granted, the way this deck is structured, you're going to have to blow some secrets early, but freezing and misdirection are great for helping you once you become the fire lord
The play style is different than your typical hunter, which, these days, is face. You play as controlling as possible, mainly denying enemy minions early with traps like freezing, explosive, and snipe. Unless it's a dire emergency, you aren't going to want to use deathlord early. That card also helps to serve the purpose of protecting rag. Try to be conservative with freezing traps and misdirection, as they will become much more valuable the later the game goes. Use healbot whenever necessary, no one expects healbots in hunter. Once you are at 15 health or below, Majordomo is a legit play, and let me tell you why. Rag's 8 health plus Majordomo's 7=15. So, unless they have a removal spell or bgh, them killing Majordomo just saves you 7 health, and then you're rewarded with a better hero power. Once you become rag you just drop deathlord and your secrets and then your hero power will become too much for them to handle since they can't get to you through traps and taunts( if you have belcher at this point that is also good but don't play with the intention of saving it) If you have alexstraza she works wonders with rag, but I don't so I put in sylvannas instead, helps slow down the game and, again, a decent minion to protect rag with if you still have it when you become rag. Loatheb is another goon minion to protect rag, denying double fireballs or fireball frostbolt is huge, but you shouldn't play with be intention of keeping him unless you deem it necessary in your matchup. Good luck, and please, all feedback is appreciated.
Hey man this seems like a super awesome deck. But seeing how many 1 copy cards you have i cant help but wanna ask:Ever consider adding reno-boy?
I made this deck before reno came out so the idea never came to me, but thats a great suggestion. Ill definitely try adding him once i get him
Bonus points for originality, which is very rare these days in the game, but in spite of commendable efforts to use him, unfortunately Majordomo is still a recipe for disaster, and can work in rare circumstances like the one you describe. It would simply take a hard removal spell or Big Game Hunter for the minion and a bit of face damage from minions or direct spells. You could of course use Alexstrasza to bring his HP up to 15, but finding the time and the mana to pull this off without dying would be even harder.
