Update:

Greetings.

I am glad so many people like this deck and was good for them on the ladder. I am also glad that my deck building skills are good, I say that since I never actually played this deck. I do not even have the cards for it ( free to play here ) so this was all just theory-crafting.

It is also nice to see that some other people that are high legend rank also play CW without Acolytes etc.

I have seen some streamers use this deck. Some of them where terrible. One guy was playing against  another warrior and he shield slamed Armorsmith on turn 4. Or you would have people doing one misplay after another and they would still win the game only because of cards value they have.

Also I have watched one gamer using this deck ( he used Nexus instead of Loatheb ) to reach rank 15 legend ( two times ) and he was not even that good ( kept asking for help etc. )

I do wish I had the cards so that I could test some stuff by my self. Adding owls for example, replacing Shrreders for some other cards ( Owls or maybe even Senjin or some other cards ) etc.

Owl could be a good card to use against all those Paladins and Shiled minibots etc.

p.s. For the screenshot I used the one from this topic: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/269408-indigos-control-warrior-rank-1-legend-eu

I was not even planning to do this, I just wanted to make one deck and once I did that it looked so good to me that I wanted to see someone play it. So I would go to some streamers channels and ask them to play this. Of course I had to use a fake title since they are more likely to try the deck.

But if we are honest a LOT of decks here have a fake title - 70% , 80% win rate, Legend deck etc. Yeah right. Playing at rank 15 or playing 5 games and wining 4 of them does not count.

Also reaching legend and then playing some new deck there and winning a couple of games does not make it a Legendary deck.

If anyone is upset with me because of all this you should not be. It aint my problem that legend rank 1 has no value if you are not a streamer. No in game leaderboard or anything.

Goodbye.

Update: I would like to address some things here. Deck was good enough to take me to Legend rank 1.  Skill and luck are needed but without a good deck I do not see how anyone could get there. So the deck it self is good BUT

you just have to adapt/change you deck from time to time. Some people here posted how they changed Loatheb for Harrison, Shredders for Ysera, Gaddeon. One person changed dr.Boom for Gaddeon to help him against paladins, some would change Rag for Ysera and the list goes on.

One person changed Loatheb for Gaddeon. Alexzelol made some interesting changes also.

One guy is using resfreshment vendor instead of Shredders and it is working for him.

You can try using Deathlords instead of Shrreders ( that is also something I do plan to test. ).

Card draw for me is not a problem and that is the last thing I would change. But you can try swaping shredders for Acolyets and slams for Cruel taskmasters. But there is one thing i would definitely not change. 2 Bashes for me are better then 2 Shiled blocks or combination of those two cards.

In CW one card can make a big difference.

The decklist I posted ( for me ) needs no change in order to have an advantage over other decks. ( I see someone mentioned how Handlock is a problem. For me that is not the case. Just be less agressive. With two brawls, BGH and other removals I have found this deck to be better against them then the classical version i was using before  )

- About Loatheb. That is a card I also do not fell like replacing but for others some other cards work better. But I would like to point out something about this card. Harrison for example even against classes that have a weapon can be a card that you can not play on turn 5 since they do not have a weapon. Loatheb usually you can.

But the thing with Harrison is that when you do play it you see the effect. You can see it destroying the opponent weapon and drawing you card ( s ) and that feels great.

You do not get to see that with Loatheb. you just see some smoke when you play it and that is it.

You do not see that it made coin cost 5 mana so Secret Paladin could not play dr. 6 on turn 5. Etc. So even if only spell your opponent has is a coin it can still have a huge impact.

I am already wining against other CW and Patrons are an ok matchup also. Against rogue Loatheb is of course great and helps against hunters also. Aginst Paladins it would be a nice card to have ( if you want you can try replacing one brawl for it, but that is not for me right now ). So currently I do not need Harrison and Loatheb is  good against weapon classes and great against other classes.

But what about those Secret paladins? I see most people have a problem with that deck/class.

They can be a problem. The problem actually  with Secret Paladins is not this deck. It is a card that is an epic card instead of a legendary one ( Mysterious Challenger ). But it is what it is.

So you have to adapt. I still do not fell like changing my deck just because of them but if you are facing a lot of them then try to change some cards around. Adding Gaddeon, Deathlords, Harrison etc.

I am glad so many people find it useful in their laddering. What I would really like is to see is  that this deck ( or a a similar version of it ) helps someone to reach legend for the first time or any rank they did not reach before.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just reached Legend rank 1 with this deck. I used a similar deck from rank 5 to legend  but after that I only used the version I posted here.

Yeah I know that the deck does not have some crazy new fun cards ( only cards like Justicar that you see in most control warriors now ) BUT the deck is incredibly efficient.

I tried a lot of combinations and cards like Varian ( very fun card ), Inspire cards etc. BUT at the end I ended up using the deck I posted here because it works the best ( for me )

If your goal is to reach legend or to reach high legend rank that this one is great for that.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update: About some cards that are "missing" like Acolytes.

The main card for this deck and my favorite TGT card  is Bash. it allowed me to make some core changes to the standard Control Warrior deck. Of course Justicar helps also..

Bash has completely replaced Shiled block for me.

Against agrro or for example against midrange Hunter who just played a shredder, would you rather draw a card or kill that shredder or some other minion on the board and actually gain armor while doing that?

Card also allows you  to kill a minion hiding behind the taunt ( Killing " Chuga Chuga" behind that

 Annoy-o-tron feels great )

Plus it does more damage with shild slam compared to shiled block. ^ damage compared to 5. Not a big advantage but still an advantage. If dr.6 is not buffed you can kill it or damaged dr. Boom etc.

It also game to the warrior something they did not have before , a way to deal damage to the face even when there is a taunt on the board. It feels great when you can actually kill a Shaman or a Handlock even when they have a Tauns ( s ) on the board.

Acolytes and Cruel taskmasters are replaced with shredders and slams.

This whole deck consist of two things: removal and good minions. The weakest one is Armorsmith but even that one can be really strong in early and late game.

Against agrro you use all that removal to stabilize and then you start dropping down Shrreders, Belchers, Shildmaiden etc. Your card draw is not that important because you will either get a way to deal with their minions or you will get a good minion that you can play your self.

To have slams against Patron warrior for example is usually much more useful then Acolytes that can be a dead card in late turns. With slams you can actually kill an injured Patron but Acolyte latter on will just allow them to spam more patrons.

Against CW I tend to go to the fatique war a lot and you have a huge advantage there.

Also Shrreders as a 4 drop help a lot against agrro, midrange and control decks. In most cases you are happy when you draw that card.

Also one card that a lot of people do not play now but that is working great for me is Loatheb. Also Rag with a combination of two other BGH targets ( Dr boom and Alex ) has won me a lot of games.

Ysera is a great card. Shirnkmaster can be  irritating but still there is a reason why so many people run Ysera in CW.

But the fact that most people run Ysera makes Rag now even better. A lot of people do not except that card at all. After dr. Boom or Alex have been destroyed by Big game hunter Rag can be really devastating. Also rag suits my play style where i tend to be a little more aggressive when playing CW.
