Overview:
Pretty simple, just a super greedy control warrior. The deck contains more value than almost every other deck, as you play so many big threats, so you should have an easy time winning the long game against other control decks. Plays double Brawl and Sylvannas Windrunner to help take back board control in the mid game, and Fiery War Axe along with Armorsmith keep the early pressure off of you.
Mulligans:
Rogue: Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe, Death's Bite
Shaman: Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe, Cruel Taskmaster, Death's Bite, Bash
Hunter: Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe, Cruel Taskmaster, Bash
Paladin: Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe, Cruel Taskmaster, Death's Bite
Priest: Fiery War Axe, Death's Bite
Druid: Fiery War Axe, Bash, Death's Bite
Warlock: Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe, Shield Slam, BGH
Mage: Fiery War Axe, Bash, Death's Bite
Warrior: Fiery War Axe, Death's Bite, BGH, Shield Block
Tech Choices:
Double Bash: Helps with early game if you don't mulligan into war axe, can trigger your own sylvannas, triggers execute in control matchups.
Double Brawl: good for removing pressure from midrange/aggro decks, some people don't play around the 2nd brawl in control matchups, can get great value.
Only one Acolyte of Pain: the deck has enough value in it to win control matchups without acolyte, and it's often too slow in the early game against midrange/aggro decks.

I have been running this exact decklist -ysera +sneeds and have been having fun with it.. just lost to a midrange shaman though... he fatigued me.. lol
Btw, what happend to the decklist? Like, there´s no geddon, Justicar, Alex. Where did they go?
Try to swap 2 shieldmaiden > 1 emperor + 1 justicar
Emperor make you can play Varian faster
Justicar is better than shieldmaiden in long term
Well, I get Varian from 100 gold and I'm testing this deck and is Ok. I used it in the last brawler and was devastating :3
Going to craft this deck and I don't have much dust, is varian even worth crafting? would rather spend on a useful card if its not
crafted him with no regrets so far. CW need as much card draw as possible and often people just concedes when he puts on board 1-2 big minions with him. Even if he draws you some spells and weapons - 3 card draw extremely good in my opinion.
Unless you're running a Taunt Warrior, keep in mind he is a Win More Card. He's not so much of a come back card if you are about to loose.
Gonna give Wrynn a chance in couple of games, its just so rng, often i get weapons, spells, maybe one minion, once i got alex with him :/ Ill try to have faith for him, obviously theres decks to be made with him for sure.
WOW much greedy such value ... traded one Acolyte for Varian from classic CW and calls it greedy :D hahahhaha
Wouldn't it be better to play large legendary's without battlecry's? Like Ysera, Foe Reaper, Gruul, Sneed's, Baron, Trogzzor etc.. Instead of Dr. Boom because whenever you play Varian you lose the boom bots if you draw Boom or any battlecry.
You're saying you want to basically tailor your deck around Varian Wrynn. That card is just not good. I don't care what all the idiots think. It's a terrible win-more card.
Why the hell would I remove essential battle cries with great value like Alex, Dr.Boom, Big Game Hunter, Justicar Trueheart or even Shieldmaiden so I have potentially a better pull from dropping Varian Wrynn on turn 10? It doesn't even make sense.
Overrated trash. You want to make this deck better? Remove Varian Wrynn and put in Baron Geddon or put back Alexstrasza.
I guess you didn't notice <snip> but the deck is already tailor built around Varian Wrynn. It's called Greedy for a reason, don't use it if you don't like it. <snip>
You added nothing to the discussion except trash talk... It's obviously not a deck for #1 legend, more of a fun deck to play...
Varian is a bad card. I have the right to comment. I never said I'd continue using this deck. Indeed, I won't continue using it as I don't like it. I already KNOW this deck is 'tailor-made' for Varian Wrynn. Centering your deck around a turn 10 card isn't the greatest of ideas. This is why I stated that he isn't a good card and in order for this deck to work with him to it's fullest extent, you must take out great value cards.

Even playing a budget version of this deck is amazingly fun. Went 4-1 around Rank 13. Loving it so far. Ironically, Dr. Balance continues to be MVP after so many seasons.
destroys joust hunter.
With Alex, I seem to be pulling her out more often with Varian than getting to use her ability. I changed to baron and have been able to pick up kills I wouldn't have ordinarily. Also, a max of 73 health over 12 turns is freaking fantastic against mages.
To be fair, everything destroys joust hunter.
Indeed...it also destroys Flamestrike Paladin and Mech Warlock, as well as other decks that don't / shouldn't exist.
This is budget control warrior.
very strong deck, got 14-3, moving to 5 rank
How is this super greedy? Seriously.
