This is the Druid mid-range deck that I used to get from rank 4 to legendary.
Check out my stream at http://twitch.tv/faction60 to see this deck in action
It's focused on early/mid game board control into a savage roar finish using the tokens generated by Violet Teacher and Imp Master, but can also hold its own in long games due to 2x Anicents of Lore and Cenarius.
Legendary replacements:
Replace Leeroy Jenkins with a mid-game drop of your choice. An Auctioneer or Druid of the Claw for example.
Nat Pagle is not really easy to replace, I'd say he wins 1 out of every 10 games by himself which is huge for a card that's 1 slot in a deck of 30. Replace with Thalnos if you have him, otherwise I'm not too sure.
Cenarius should probably be replaced with an Auctioneer
If you don't have 2 of these legendaries, I would definitely suggest going with 2x Argent Squire as they are very good against hunter and warrior aggro and can survive for a long time to be buffed by power of the wild or savage roar.
Bad matchups: Reynad Aggro Warrior, Shaman with good lightning storm RNG, Giants Warlock. All of these are winnable depending on draw luck, however.
Good matchups: Aggro warlock, mid-range warlock, Standard Rogue, Control druid, Aggro hunter
Mulligan strategies:
Mulligan hard for 2 and 3 drops against almost every class. Against aggro warlock keep a swipe and any claws/wrath/2 or 3 drop minions, and against aggro in general keep the claw/wrath. Always keep innervate no matter what the matchup is, and if your hand has innervate completely change your mulligan strategy, ie: keep 4 and 5 drops that you plan to innervate.
wouldnt a knife juggler or to come in handy in this deck
Out of 10 matches i lost 10 and that is at a horrible rank 20. I cant get anything on the board with this deck and the combo's are so expensive, i just can't see how this could win anything except a mirror with draw luck.
1:5 win ratio. Gets obliterated by almost every match.
at what rank ?
Extremely solid deck which has promoted me from rank 17 to 5. I've made a few changes.
Cenarius (just coz I don't have this one) for Hogger which is also a token generator.
I've also switched quantity of epics 2x Force of Nature and 1x Ancient of Lore coz it's more useful imho.
For everyone who is interested in some explanation I suggest a video made by Force. He describes perfectly all of particularities of usage of this deck.
I'm playin this right now and it helped me getting to rank 11 without a single loss... hopefully i get to legend this season.
Had no Pagle so i swaped him with soul of the forrest... SotF works perfectly in this deck
Does it seem possible to get Legend with tihs deck ? Because im gonna make some cards.
I have not been playing recently, but I think that some of the token variants with argent squires in place of imp masters are better now. I'm sure there are some lists out. Look for anything by Nickspags or Hafu
Too late, I made some cards and went down to rank 10 from 6 :(
Hate those warlocks !
Well no token deck is going to do well against neutral warlock either way. That's still a pretty drastic drop so you might have been doing something wrong.
One change I haven't seen any discussion about was with Azure Drakes. While I have them, I find them to be one of the slowest parts of the deck. While generally, they're extremely efficient cards, without a Nat Pagle, I find myself having trouble setting up board control sometimes as there isn't an expendable 0-4 body to soak up 1 to 2 cards removal/minion hits.
While counterinuitive, I personally do find one Soul of the Forest, a card which requires board presence, as functional replacement. The idea isn't to solidify a lead, but to ensure board presence, as while not ideal, using SotF on 3 minions is often more advantageous than playing the 4-4 Drake and drawing a card.
I find Azure Drakes to be very powerful cards and will win long games, but against Chillwind Yetis (especially from Priests!) or Paladins with Truesilver Champions, I find that they die too easily and often put me behind.
I lack Force of Nature and all of the legendaries, so I replaced them with what I had, Cairne Bloodhoof and Hogger. I agree with earlier comments considering these suboptimal, while Cairne makes the mid-late-game slightly slower, it still is very effective in holding its ground. While Hogger is one of the worse legendaries, I did own it, and I did want to use it--it functions as panic taunt, while being a reliable and strong token generator if its not your only card on the board. The only downside besides it's high cost and meek 4 hp is that its tokens are spawned at the end of the turn, meaning that, that turn's Gnoll cannot be buffed by SotF or PotW.
I have the same problem. I replaced mine with ancient of war and it seems to be doing fine.
Very strong deck, thanks for sharing
Rank 50 legend here. I used Faction's token druid till rank 3 then i hit a slump and would just trade wins. I used razor's token deck instead and managed to get to legend and I haven't lost a single game while in legend so far. http://imgur.com/d90ts3F Decklist is there.
I was thinking either bloodmage thalnos, or novice engineer for pagle ( don't have), ragnaross for cenarius (dont have), and maybe cairne for leeroy?
Thalnos for Pagle for sure imho because he buffs your Swipe and Wrath plus he'll usually draw you a card (unless silenced).
Cenarius for Raggy could work well, though Auctioneer might be better since you have so many low cost spells to draw into more combo cards. I am personally not a huge fan of auctioneer since I find him unreliable. Raggy has won me more games than I can count. Worth testing though.
I wouldn't swap Cairne for Leeroy since it changes the dynamic of the deck. This deck is about control, picking away at them, and then doing a big burst of damage imho. Leeroy combos well with a number of spells in this deck for sweet burst. Cairne is slow and often countered before he can be effective.
This is my version.
This deck is awesome. 3-1 vs Hunter, 4-0 vs Priest, 1-0 vs Mage, 1-0 vs Druid, 3-0 vs Warlock, 1-1 Paladin, 1-0 Shaman, but 0-3 vs Warrior. That seems to be the deck to beat. It seems like their early aggression just kind of face rolls this deck, but everything else kicks ass. Thanks!
I did make a few changes though, since I don't have all the legendaries. To replace them, I added a Starfall, Druid of the Claw, and an Auctioneer. Still works well though!
Rank 11 right now. This deck helped me get out of a rut I was in when I previously played my Mage deck. I was stuck at rank 15, now I'm 11 :D. Anyways, the past few games I've had with priests I would always have an Innervate and an Imp Master in hand, so usually turn 1 I would summon her and basically just keep summoning Imps until I get like Harvest Golem or something on turn 3. Follow it up with Savage Roar by turn 3 or 4 and really don't have an answer for it. Or at least I haven't seen one.
Warriors are just, I don't know. They have a lot of control and armor from the get-go, and Frothing Berserker kind of rains on my parade unless I can counter him early on. The only thing I've noticed about this deck is it doesn't have many hard counters for anything. You kind of just have to know when to hit face or exchange.
So I had this deck built as posted, ran it to rank 9 on a win streak, but then started trading games against super aggro murloc and hunter decks and extremely slow taunt heavy decks. I dropped Leeroy and replaced with with a Druid of the Claw, and am now trying to find a spot for Tinkmaster. Thoughts?
