Hello everyone this is the deck i am using right now on ladder .Generally struggling against warrior rushes and hunters sometimes. The reason i posted this deck here isnt to show my "amazing deck" ( i know it isn't obviously) but to listen to more opinions and hopefully improve my deck .( unfortunately i dont have tyrion or other mandatory legendaries)
- Having some trouble against miracle rogue decks.
- Replaced Chillwind Yetis with Twilight drakes.!!
- added Owl instead of one Holy light ( might consider switch it for a gok and not Holy light) (just feel i need sth like silence i dont have black knight or tinkmaster)
I tried this deck and wasn't that good against certain deck. I rarely got Sunfury Protector and other minions in the same hand.
I took out protector, yeti, Mountain Giant and 1 avenging wrath and replaced them with Nat Pagel, Gnomish Inventor, Leeroy,Black Knight, Taunt minion and Cairne Bloodhoof. Also since I did not have Alexstrasza I added Trion Fordring.
Honestly I hate Nat Pagel lol he sometimes does not draw me any cards for 4 turns in a row.
I really like this deck. I am not sure where it can put me in rank but in all games that I have played it I enjoy it. As far as card draw is concerned, it can be an issue; however, I have found that the combination of control elements and healing allows me to outlast my opponents both aggro and aggro / control mage. I am sure modifications can be made but I enjoy the current synergies.
Yea tyrion seems to really bolster Pally decks in general. I like bgh as it has saved my tail a couple of times with huge threats. About card draw, I just wanted to say I think it is pretty good as is. Some mage decks that I have run attempt to control but must have card draw to do so. This deck seems to survive and control well even without card draw. I usually have an answer that I like in my hand :)
I like it. (I'm running one similar to Flood_'s deck)
Issues I could see.
No card draw, so mountain giant will probably cost 8+ when you get to play it. (Obviously besides lay on hands)
No silence. (Purpose of tink master in Flood_'s deck) Although, big game hunter + aldor's might be enough.
Really have been thinking about this quite a bit.
I think it's not an easy question to answer. With NO card draw, Divine Favor (shoulda been named divine plea) might be an option.
One of the other giants could be a replacement. I just am not sure how many cards you hold on to. (Obviously paladins kinda just want to survive to turn 4, so you might have the cards.
Maybe run a spreadsheet and SEE how many times you actually get to play the mountain Giant for. Doomsayer might be another option for another clear.
Your mana curve is just more balanced around 3 and 4 than Flood_'s (I'm running Flood_'s full deck list at the moment - I was able to convert a lot of D3 gear into Hearthstone cards!!). But I really don't know if there is a perfect switch for the mountain giant.
Molten giant is a possible consideration. If you're able to draw into a lay on hands, holy light. You might be able to get a pretty crazy Molten + Holy + LOH to be above 20+ with an 8/8 out.
Edit. If you're' struggling vs the rush. Maybe some more early taunts (Shield masta's or defender of argus).
Yeah, it seems with the paladin deck I'm ALWAYS Lower than them. Running two molten's might not be a bad idea either. But I really think your mana curve is better than Flood_'s. And his deck falls behind if he doesn't draw into heal and board clears vs the rush decks.
