Updates

8/27/2015:

+1 Sylvanas Windrunner

-1 Cairne Bloodhoof

For more late game board pressure and thanks to TGT expansion we'll see so much more control deck on the ladder. Especially Varian Warrior.

8/21/2015:

+1 Scarlet Crusader

-1 Divine Favor

Recently found out there are more midrange and aggro decks on high rank ladder. Decided to remove Divine Favor.

8/18/2015:

Added gameplays against Control Warrior, Patron Warrior, Aggro Paladin and Handlock.

8/17/2015:

+1  Loatheb, +1 Piloted Shredder

-1 Scarlet Crusader, -1 Argent Squire

More mid to late game potential needed. And also Loatheb's effect to prevent opponent's early board clear.

Some gameplays are added into the spoilers at the 'mulligans' part. Feel free to check'em out! I will soon upload one video for each class.

Hi guys, I wanted to share you guys this deck which was constructed based on Divine Shield. In my opinion Divine Shield is like a specialty for Paladin so I decided to make a Divine Pally.

This deck has a 66% win rate tested with 80 rank games (this season from rank 14 to rank 4). I am not gonna be exaggerate and say this is the only deck that brought me to Legend rank last season but it was in one of the rotation decks I used.

Legend rank proof:

 HeartStats Stat-track results (W/L):

Druid: 7-4 |Hunter: 10-4 |Mage: 5-3 |Paladin: 11-5 |Priest: 1-3 |Rogue: 4-0 |Shaman: 6-0 |Warlock: 6-6 |Warrior: 5-2

Q&A:

Why Avenge? It's to confuse your opponent, if you have only Redemption it's easy for your opponent to play around it. Avenge buff on a Divine Shield unit is a huge value.

Why only 1 Blood Knight? Previously I was testing on 2 Blood Knight. In current meta, Priest usually runs 2 Thoughtsteal, if they get your Blood Knight before you it will be a hard game for you. Usually you need that layer of Divine Shield to do favorable trade instead of buffing Blood Knight.

Why Cairne Bloodhoof? I tried swapping out Cairne Bloodhoof with Sylvanas Windrunner, turn out Sylvanas was much useless than I expected because usually I am the one who dominate the board.

Mulligans:

Always Keep: Mad Scientist, Shielded Minibot, Argent Protector, Scarlet Crusader(with coin).

Always Mulligan: Any Secrets, Divine Favor, Blessing of Kings, Equality, and any cards > 4 mana cost. *only keep Redemption if you have The Coin and Scarlet Crusader.

Against Druid:

Special Mulligans. Favorable Matchup. Always keep Scarlet Crusader and Piloted Shredder. You can also keep Coghammer if you have decent minion in your hand. If you have Shielded Minibot or Scarlet Crusader with Blood Knight, keep Blood Knight. Focus more on lethal instead of trading minions, you have cards like Big Game Hunter and Equality to bypass Druid's taunt and big threats in mid and late game.

Against Hunter:

Special Mulligans. Easy Matchup. Always keep Consecration. Your minions with Divine Shield can easily gain board control early game. During mid game, the amount of Taunt minions you have + Redemption can protect you from Face Hunter. Play your Consecration on a good timing usually wins you the game.Scarlet Crusader is good against Midrange Hunter.

Against Mage:

Normal Mulligans. Okay Matchup. You can always take the risk by keeping Kezan Mystic (preferably with coin). If your opponent is a Freeze Mage, try to time your Kezan nicely for Ice Block and go for lethal.

Against Paladin:

Special Mulligans. Favorable Matchup. Always keep Blood Knight! No matter what Paladin your opponent is he will definitely runs Shielded Minibot. Steal your opponent's Divine Shield? VALUE!

 Against Priest:

Normal Mulligans. Unfavorable Matchup. Due to Shadow Word: Pain, Priest can easily remove your Divine Shield minions in early game and Shrinkmeister + Cabal Shadow Priest your big minions late game. Sad case. But thanks to current meta, you won't see much Priest in high ranked game :D

Against Rogue:

Normal Mulligan. Easy Matchup. You will always win in early game thanks to Divine Shield. Its very hard for Rogue to remove a shielded minion with card like Backstab and Eviscerate. He has to absorb the damage by popping off the shields with his Hero Power. With Redemption you have layers of Taunts for late game. No fear Oil Rogue.

Against Shaman:

Special Mulligans. Easy Matchup. Always keep Blood Knight! Usually when you meet a Shaman, he is a Mech Shaman. The moment when Blood Knight is more annoying than Annoy-o-Tron :D. Try to survive until mid to late game without absorbing too much damage to avoid spell nuke from Shaman. When you are able play cards like Sludge Belcher, Sunwalker, Tirion Fordring, you usually win the game.

Against Warlock:

Special Mulligans. Okay against Handlock, Easy against Zoolock. It depends on your opponent's mulligan. If he mulligans most of his card, He's probably a Handlock. You'll have to keep Equality if you have one. Rush his face as fast as you can before he gets Molten Giant. If he's a Zoolock, same concept as Face Hunter. Keep Consecration, survive until late game with layers of Taunts and you win.

Against Warrior:

Special Mulligans. Favorable against Patron Warrior, Okay against Control Warrior. Always keep Scarlet Crusader, Truesilver Champion and Piloted Shredder. Against Patron Warrior, its usually easy because they don't have early board clear like Brawl to help them survive until they are able to perform Patron combos. Against Control Warrior rush him down as soon as possible before he can play any huge minions. Play Loatheb before he can throw out Brawl usually wins you the game. Weapons don't help them much because you have Divine Shield minions. Nuff said.

Tips:

-If you have Redemption on the field, NEVER EVER Hero Power unless you are very sure that your opponent is going to hit something else. The choice of Redemption choosing which minion to ressurect is always the EARLIEST minion you summoned on the board. Example: Turn 5 you summoned Scarlet Crusader, Turn 6 Sludge Belcher. If your board is cleared by your opponent, Scarlet Crusader is the one who gets revived.

-Turn 1 Redemption, Turn 2 Coin + Scarlet Crusader is usually a win game play. As what mentioned above, if you have all these 3 cards, keep them.

-If Mad Scientist is killed with any other minion by a single board clear spell, and it brought out Redemption to the field, Redemption will trigger IMMEDIATELY. *note that Mad Scientist has to be played before any other minion

Card Swaps:

Piloted Shredder, Piloted Sky Golem, Loatheb, Sylvanas WindrunnerSneed's Old Shredder, Kel'Thuzad are all ideal cards to swap with any 5+ minions in this deck.
