Introductions:
Hey my IGN is Janos, and i play for my own team - Nordic Rangers. You probably don't know me, but i have been legend 11x times. I like to build a lot of funny decks like Fatigue Warlock and weird stuff like that, but this time you guys will just see a normal deck, but still my own version. I got Legend with this deck. My winrate 26-4 from rank 5-legend. This is my first guide, but i think i will make more in the future, if this will be a succes.

STRATEGY:
Against aggro: You have to trade and get board control, because you have so much tempo with your spells than normal aggro, so you will beat them if you get the board. You don't have to keep your fireballs for burn, you have to use them for get board control some times.
Against control: You have to let them trade and just go face most of the time. If there is a good trade you take it, but most of the time you go face. Keep your fireballs for burn your enemys face in late game, because against control matchups, they take the board control in turn 7-9.
Against midrange: You have to make a mix of "against aggro" and "against control". Midrange is the hardest matchups, because you have to decide going face or trade. Make some good trades. If you have a 3/3 Mana wyrm and your enemy have a 4/3 kezan, then just go face, because your enemy will probably trade anyway.
CARD REPLACEMENTS:
I have tried so many different cards in this deck! Like all cards in the game and if you ask me, this is the best way you can make a tempo mage deck. So don't sub anything for flamestrike or antonidas etc. This is the best list imo. But here is the cards you can replace, if you don't have these legendaries:
- Dr. Boom can be replaced by Pyroblast but will never be the same as Dr. GG!
- Ragnaros the Firelord can be replaced by Pyroblast but will never be the same as Ragnaros. If you don't have Rag & Dr. boom then i wouldn't play this deck tbh
- Sylvanas Windrunner can be replaced by Piloted Sky Golem because the point of Sylvanas is when you lose the minion, you will get a new one. Sylvanas is just better, because it's steal a minion from the enemy.
- 1x Water Elemental can be replaced by 1x Kezan Mystic
If you face a lot of Hunters or Mages, then this change is better.
VIDEO GUIDE:
Coming soon! I can't be done with the video in this week, because i need to read for my examens! :)
I only need make the video now, but i will do tomorrow! I hope you all understood my guide and if you liked it and my deck, please give me a +1, will help me a lot! Thank you all! :D
DECK EDIT: I tested some games with Water Elemental and found out, that he is actually stronger than Piloted Shredder.
THANK YOU ALL: I will TY all for the follows on my stream and the upvotes on my guide! It help me so much, i will start making more guides/decklists for you guys! :D
LEGEND: Right now i know 40 persons reached legend with this deck, maybe many more!
I would and will go for Rag, because he is in nearly every Deck at this moment and i know that i will playe differant classes. There is also a Threat on the Board wich is names "Craftlist" or something where they discusse this Theme
Thanks
I'd go for the Ragnaros, just because he can be used in multiple decks/classes, and Antonidas in only mage.
-1 Water Elemental +1 Alarm-o-Bot?
Thank you very much for this deck! Working goood!
mate i don't know how u play this deck but this is one of the best deck against a hunter. i always play with it in ranked, working out for me for a long time
You really need to have Mirror Image and Water Elemental in your hand to stop charges and prevent them from using their weapon.
Kezan Mystic, insted of water elemental, works like a charm. Plus think smart.
Nice deck. Thank you!
Zoo & Hunter shit all over this deck like you would not believe...
More like i shit all over zoo and hunter with this deck these combos are insanely good board control. Its all in the mulli.
A couple of 'Imp-losions or UTH in a row, followed by some other small minions that fill their board and it's gg...
I play
- 2x water elemental, azure dragon, rag, sylva
+Emperor, Archmage, Kezan, Flamestrike, Mirror Image
Emperor vs Sylva- Sylva is control legendary, Emperor is tempo and have good synergy with Archmage
Rag vs Archmage- Archmage is better finisher and havee good synergy with spell
I play Kezan becuase i meet constantly mage or hunter
Flamestrike anti aggro meta
This is what I run, except I still have Ragnaros, removed 1 Flame Cannon. Other than that we're identical. Oh nvm, I took out the Mirror Entity and replaced it with Spell Bender to protect the Flamewalkers and big dudes, it's amazing how undervalued that secret is, it won me 3 games I can think of right away.
Hey guys! i was wondering if someone who already hit legend with this deck can add me and tell me what i am doing wrong, i am rank 5 at the moment, my winrate is pretty low i guess, i read the guide already but i guess is something else.
^Main thing is knowing your opponent, what deck they are running, and heavy RNG with this deck sometimes (All 4+ mana cards for first 3 turns vs a face hunter or zoo lock kind of screws you most of the time). Play around their mana pool, disabling their large removal, eg. Pally turn 4 Equality,Wild Pyromancer or Consecration, Warlock turn 4 Imp-losion to your Flamewaker, turn 3 Demonwrath can be nightmare with SA, MI combo on board, etc. etc.
If in doubt play casual for about 10 or so matches to get a feel for the current meta. Each month it is the same new decks with only slight variations to a few cards, so if you can learn each class and the deck they are running your basically guaranteed to know what is coming and then it really is just down to card draw, rng, good plays on the right turns, knowing when to face/trade.
I don't know how i reached rank for if i barely know what decks are my opponents using and i don't know nothing about the RNG, even when i heard so much about this topic, this is the only hearthstone page about guides and decks i know, i know there many more but i certainly don't know where i can study the current meta 100%, another topic is that sometimes i missplay good trades or when to face and that is something that i think is so much important in this deck to miss it. :(
BTW i am the same guy is just that i forgot my password D:
Thx for the deck! Another legend here. Stats from rank 5: 59-36, 62% win rate.
-1 Azure Drake +1 Gadgetzan Auctioneer
-1 Sylvanas Windrunner +1Emperor Thaurissan
makes this deck do some pretty crazy stuff.
